I only trim nowadays. Shaving requires too much attention and time for me. Also my hair grows too much to handle. However i will say shaved facial hair from time to time is an enjoyable feeling

When it's less cold, you could try sleeping naked to avoid messing your underwear, maybe with a towel under your body. If you sleep on your back just have something to mop up with nearby. If you sleep on your sides the towel might catch it. Keep us updated
