Hey all,
Just wanted to say that I read about dipke3's method and the impressive response it got, and gave it a try. Originally, when I started reading this forum I wasn't really willing to abstain for long periods of time -- if I feel masturbating on certain occasions would be helpful for my physical and mental well-being (e.g., to get better sleep), I probably wouldn't keep myself from doing it, let alone for weeks or months at a time. However, there was a method that seemed to be successful for some, and it seemed like a fun idea to experiment with it to see what would happen.
After 7 days of abstaining and 4 more days of visual stimulation for as long as I could, it did not work. Not only there was no WD, but I also found the method impossible to follow by the letter, as visual and tactile stimulation without any masturbation cannot keep me in a "constant state of sexual arousal" for more than a little while. I could add a couple more details on this story but I don't want to make this post too long.
The nice thing about this is that I found it surprisingly easy to abstain during these days. Not that I didn't watch porn during my AB phase -- maybe I did for 15 minutes or so some days, before or after bed, to enjoy having an erection while horny. But that was it, I didn't need to start furiously masturbating or edging or bringing myself to orgasm.
I guess I could get over this and keep on ABing to try to get a WD, haha, but I think, now I'm done with this method, I'd rather go out and find a sexual partner. Who knows what will come first?
Cheers to all.
Some notes
Re: Some notes
Sorry for the double post, but I re-read this and found it quite dishonest -- I watched porn because it's hot! and also I may have some sort of addiction but it's long and needless to explain

I tried Dipke3's method in the past few days too and I found you're sentiments are profound and valuable.
Particularly the point that constant visual stimulation regardless of how novel or diverse or attractive cannot keep me in a constant state of arousal for more than a little while.
Hunger is in the absence of eating but in the anticipation of food. Hunger dissipates shortly after eating food.
Likewise sexual excitement is in the absence of sexual arousal but in the anticipation of a sexual exciting stimuli. Excitement and arousal dissipates shortly after the sexually exciting stimuli is interacted with.
