Pubic hair removal

I wanted to get people’s thoughts and opinions on removing pubic hair. Do you do it, how do you do it, how much do you remove? Etc
I’m a hairy guy who has hair on pretty much every body part. I’ve been shaving my pubic hair with a razor since my teens. Something my father told me to do after starting puberty due to cultural and religious customs. I’m in my early 30s now and up until recently I’ve been shaving it twice a week to keep it smooth. Yes it can look a bit weird having a bald groin when everywhere else is hairy but no one has said anything. I do trim the hair on my abdominal area and thighs so it’s less obvious. But for the past couple of weeks I’ve been shaving my balls and shaft every 2 days and trimming the part above my penis short every couple of weeks.
I find that if I don’t shave or trim and let it get a bit bushy then it feels like the hair is being pulled out.

I trim my pubes and shave my scrotum smooth. I have shaved all my pubes off in the past, but it gets super itchy when it starts to grow back.....which doesnt look good, scratching your pubes in public
lol

Yeah that’s fair enough. I think because I’ve done it for a long time, my skins gotten used to it so it doesn’t itch. I recommend applying some post shave shaving balm for sensitive skin. Keeps it moisturised and soft

I'm very much in the same boat as you. Being South Asian I'm a really hairy guy and I've been shaving since starting puberty due to religious/cultural customs and personal reasons too.
Shaving is pretty much second nature now for me after doing it for so long, I started puberty young and I remember being the first in my class. I wouldnt say I got bullied about being hairy but it was a topic of jokes so I guess that propelled the urge to shave what we would call bumfluff but yeah in my 30s now so it's been the norm for a long time now and it feels weird/unnatural when I let the growth go on for to long.
A whie ago I wasnt keeping on top of it as much due to health reasons so I had a fair bit of hair growth and it just felt really odd to me so as soon as I was able to I shaved and I've been trying to maintain it reguarly. Current routine is il shave the pubic area, shaft and balls with a razor every 2-3 days and il use a trimmer on the pubic area everyday in between shaves to keep it all down as close to bald. Then moisturise daily especially during the cold months otherwise I seem to get razor bumps as I tend to have fairly sensitive skin.

I don't do it. Others do though. Each to his own, I say.

I only trim nowadays. Shaving requires too much attention and time for me. Also my hair grows too much to handle. However i will say shaved facial hair from time to time is an enjoyable feeling

I tend to keep it trimmed. Occasionally I will shave it all off if I’m in the mood which is like once a year.

Agree on keeping it trimmed. I think I shaved completely once years ago, and while the feeling of it was cool for a while, it just gets super itchy. Now it's just light trimming. Not nearly as much irritation.

For me, I like keeping it all natural. I’m a triathlete and although lots of other guys in the sport trim down there, I’ve actually found it better for me to keep the bush. If I trim it too short, it’s prickly and chafes as I ride my bike and run and it causes more problems than just keeping hair as a natural friction protectant. I also like the look overall and makes me feel more masculine.

Right on. Agreed on all fronts, including being a triathlete and feeling opposite to many triathletes because I keep my bush haha. It's no less aerodynamic once you have your tri-suit on anyway, haha.
It feels more manly to me too.
