I was a member of the previous forum name
www.wetdreamforum.com and I've finally decided to make a new account and make a journal.
I last masturbated on 18th July 2023 which means I'm currently on 293 days without masturbating or watching porn. I am motivated to go so far with my abstinence mainly due to my religious beleif, as masturbation, lust and porn are all sins. I don't tend to get aroused in recent months and I reckon that is due to me taking olanzapine and lithium- I simply don't get arousal, erections or lust and I'm sure the pills are responsible. I'm pretty sure that the meds I take are the main cause for not having had a wet dream on this streak. I hope that a wet dream can happen but I'm not holding my breath whilst I'm on the meds. I am coming off one of the meds in around 14 months time. I hope to still be abstaining then, so who knows I may start getting wet dreams in the future once I've stopped taking them, I still have hope!
I am considering taking Zinc or Magnesium tablets as suggested by Sequiro in the chat room. I think that can make dreams more vivid. I will post if I notice anything with them.

Welcome back! Sorry to hear that you're on meds that seem to be keeping you from getting WDs. But since you are eager to get off of them and start getting WDs again, I assume they are prescribed for perhaps psychological issues. Hopefully you'll get beyond these issues and back to WDs.
I'm sure all of us want to thank you for having first posted that fascinating "Quotes from guys who loved their WDs and compared to MB" topic. It's both interesting and instructional. It's an excellent contribution to the site!

Stay strong BePositive1992. That's an impressive 293-day AB streak! Hopefully you will continue to AB even when you stop your meds one day. You're a very motivated and disciplined person and I hope you get your well deserved WDs.

Thanks for your post. I'm kind of not expecting a wet dream when I'm on the meds which is for around another 14 months as an estimate for when I come off them. So it is a long wait, but I'm ok with it because my religion forbids masturbation and porn. I'm hopeful that some time after I'm off the meds that I'll be able to get a wet dream but if it doesn't happen then so be it, that's just the way it goes.

I am proud to announce that today marks one year since I stopped MBing. I haven't had a WD and I think this is down to taking bipolar medicaiton which I believe is somehow stopping me from getting one. ALso, I haven't had much arousal which I think is due to the meds and when I wash my penis there is little sensitivity. Today I visited a doctor and I am coming off Olanzapine quicker than I thought I would be. I am still on lithium. I hope as I come off the meds, that my system will find a way for a WD. I am also committed to remaining abstinent- here's to another year.

All antipsychotic / antimanic meds, disrupt neurotransmitter path. Reduce WD likelihood as the result. Case in point, SSRI is notorious for that. Coming off these meds will help tremendously your chance of getting WD, as long as you can remain abstinent. How long have you been on these meds? 14 months?

I hope you feel better psychologically and either find meds that have less side effects or can get off of them all together

That's exactly what I figured. I've been on these meds for 17 months.

Thanks, to be honest psychologically I feel OK. But to get off them altogether is my desire! These meds cause nothing but horrible side effects. I want to come off for sure.
