Some of us older folks may be familiar with the song 'Horse with No Name' by America. The line that always rings with me is, "...after nine days, I let the horse run free because the desert had turned to sea...".

As a teenager and young adult, I would fairly often make attempts to abstain. My best ever was nine days, and I did that a few times. It seemed I could never go beyond.

Fast forward to this year and my renewed attempts to abstain. This fall, once I got beyond 9 days, my body and mind seemed to accept things and my libido dropped - a little. Even a little helps. Now I've had my very first wet dream at age 51.

Yes, I have been continuing to abstain. Once I got it started, something somehow clicked as I have been having wet dreams very easily and frequently. In my case, no masturbation, no sex. I'm averaging a wet dream every second night.

I also credit the underwear I am wearing under my pajamas. Not only does it soak things up, but seems to provide stimulation as well. Just very tight boxer-briefs. Normally I take size medium, but I have some dedicated for sleeping that are size small.
