WDs in Movies or TV...

I know WDs are a pretty rare topic in movies, but I remember in The Hot Chick and 50 First Dates. I think those are the only movies that have something about WDs. Anyone knows any other movie, TV show or series that has anything about WDs?

Of course they don't show the wet dreams, but here are some movies that either mention them or suggest the guy just had one:


Full Metal Jacket (he says "erect nipple wet dreams" at the end)

Birdy (he has a wet dream about flying)

40 Days and 40 Nights (he almost has a wet dream and his friend looks for evidence with a special light)



There are a few others but I don't remember them exactly and I think they maybe bedwetting not wet dreams. Oh well.

I posted this a while back, but I'll just repeat it here:

I was switching through the TV channels late at night a few years ago, and saw an 'R rated'. sex scene on a cable channel. All of a sudden the guy was in bed alone, covered with so little blanket that he was still clearly nude. He looked around confused for a few seconds, then laughed out loud with pleasure as he realized that he had just had a WD. The scene changed, the rest of the movie seemed boring and I didn't know the plot, so I switched away.

I don't know the name of the movie. Obviously it was just fiction, but from his reactions this wasn't this guy's first WD, and he enjoyed them. He wasn't very young, so presumably he was a WDer, not an MBer.

Again, the only show I remember seeing were they mentioned wet dreams was an episode of a TV show called "DeGrassi Jr. High" several years ago.

There was a post about this a while back that I started, but I should have pinned it to the top, which I've now done.

I watched "Deliverance" which talked about wet dreams and how great they are. I've been meaning to capture the clip and post it, but haven't had the time.

There is a book called "Slaughter House Five" and the main character has a wet dream in it. There is a movie about the book, but I'm not sure if they show the wet dream part - I'll have to rent the movie and see.

I'll keep this topic pinned so if anyone comes across a movie or show they saw they can post it here and find it easily.

You know they say that Star Wars: Episode 2 has a scene where Anakin Skywalker is tossing and turning in bed dreaming about padme. Although there are no mentions of wet dreams or was it indicated that it was a wet dream - many critics saw it as blantantly obvious that it was one and also was the worstly acted scene in living history.

anyway i just realised, here in Aus. they showed an episode of house where i teenager who was burnt severly, and was kept unconscious so he doesnt have to feel pain.

While in a hyperbaric chamber, he started blinking and kind of twitching, the doctor thought he was about to wake up and feel all his burns.....the oddly correct african american doctor said "thats not pain".


it turns out his brain was misinterpreting information, so BAD (the burns) felt good....causing him to release while unconscious.

it kinda shocked me, since i wouldnt want to fall asleep in public and start twitching when i start getting a WD.

however i suppose they exaggerated it, so the audience could understand it, and so the doctors woodnt have to check his pants to know what happened.

i do notice personally that everytime i wake up during a wet dream, i am not tired and numb like other times....i can open my eyes easily and see clearly....very energised.....normally i can barely move, only enough to throw my alarm clock out a window, then i collapse...

my point is...maybe i do blink and twitch while it happens, thats why i feel ready to move around jst after i wake up with a wd.

I've personally always wanted to see what really happens during a wet dream whilst it's happening on the outside, if anyone has wet dreams regular as clockwork perhaps it's an idea. There was a wet dream scene in the first season of Sugar Rush as well, new series uk channel four 10:15pm. Where the main characters brother thought he had a period and went searching for sanitary towels. It definately was Padme because I read it in a newspaper somewhere it was.

If anyone has seen anyone have a wet dream what actually happens?

as for how it would look

in australia they are showing a car advertisement....where the guy is getting goosebumps, sweating, moving his lips (as if calling out the car's name) and slightly flicking the eye lids.....

so i guess a wd would look like a person who is asleep going into REM, and then maybe has goosebumps and then breathes faster until he suddenly wakes up from it.

Birdy was a great film in which one the title character, "Birdy" (Matthew Modine) has a wet dream when he dreams of flying. The film is a wonderful story about the close (non-sexual) friendship of two guys, the other played by Nicolas Cage.

If anyone can get a hold of Birdy, and post a clip I would love to see that again. I remember watching that as a 16 year old and feeling SO blown away by it, like someone understood the power of wet dreams the way I did and depicted it so compellingly. I've had many dreams like that and felt like someone had put a very intimate piece of my life on film.

Also, I seem to recal an old movie of Robinson Caruso where RC is confessing his carnal passions to Friday and that he had had carnal relations with a woman in his dreams, and this so turns Friday on that he starts to move rythmically as RC talks and gets reprimanded for it. Has anyone ever seen that? It would have been made in the 70s or early 80s. Or maybe I just dreamed it?

The Taiwanese gay themed film "Formula 17" starts with the star, who is 17 and still a virgin, having a reoccuring dream where he is swimming with a young man he has the hots for. Found this funny clip while watching the comedy sitcom "The War at Home". There is this Korean movie called Wet Dream or something, can be found in YouTube.

I have seen two movies with WD. “Skipped Parts” with Bug Hall has a good sequence that shows what he is dreaming, his waking up and discovering the mess and then going to talk to his mother about it, which is rather weird. The whole movie is about Bug and his girlfriend wanting to learn all they can about sex before they have to experience it.

The other movie “When Beckham met Owen” is a Chinese movie with sub-titles which has a humorous approach to WD. It also shows what he is dreaming and then putting his shorts in the laundry. The point of the story seems to be two boys growing up where one is attracted to the other. I don’t really recommend it because it’s not what I consider a great movie.
