Has anyone had their first wet dream ever on here?

Postby LuvsCurvy » Tue Jul 02, 2013 4:29 pm

I'm curious to know if there have been any/many cases of people who have never had WDs before in their life successfully achieving them through AB on here?

I'm one. I had the idea to try have a WD by abstaining from MB, then with searching the net for info, came across and joine this forum. I had my first ever WD at age 19! If I AB successfully I still get them now at age 25 :)

Having been around here for a long time, I can verify that a number of guys have had their first WD here. Not surprisingly, a lot of them seem to be on the younger side, since older guys may have experimented with AB previously or simply had a WD at some time in their past, whether connected with deliberate AB or not.

Another question would be how many keep ABing to get more. But even that has more than one answer. Many, but not all guys slip up after getting some WDs, but many of them also go back to AB at some point and continue down the path to full AB and WDs as their main or exclusive outlet. More than one guy has completely replaced their MB habit with WDs.

Guys who have successfully transitioned to full time WDers don't normally keep posting here. A few have come back much later and make a post or two about their success, but in truth this site is more for guys new to WDs and new to the struggle of AB. I think this site has only passing interest to people who have and enjoy (or for some, don't enjoy) their WDs and do not have the MB habit.

The increasing popularity of no fap topics around the internet shows that not everyone who successfully ABs for extended periods comes to this site. Many such topics emphasize the other benefits of no fap. At these sites, depending on the member, WDs can seem anywhere from a negative 'reset' of no fap to an extremely positive benefit, and even an indication of no fap success.

I had a similar experience as Muz, and I had my first ever WD at 31!

I kept abing until my second WD and then other life stuff got in the way.

Thanks guys that is good to know. It would be good to know how many mature guys on here had their first ever WD on here. What I see a lot of on here goes a little like this:

"Hi my name is [name]. I stumbled across this forum while searching for [subject] and really like the idea of having a WD so have decided I want to try for one."

That reads like they havent had one before, but their profile has a figure greater than zero for number of WDs they have experienced. Later they add that they had them when younger and they stopped after discovering MB. Their age is usually sub 25 as well. That is a very different set of circumstances from mine.

I am on a program to try and acclimatise my body to ABing to hopefully overcome the pain during O after long periods of AB but the drawback is it will take considerably longer than AB on its own as it involves breaking up streaks of AB deliberately. Havent worked out the frequency yet. I have been on weekly MB for the last couple of sessions. I need to increase this now. I really need to be able to believe there is hope of me having a WD, because so far (33 days and 44 days and nothing) the odds don't appear great.

If you look at the no fap threads on bodybuilding.com, you can see that some guys didn't start getting WDs until after 90 days or more. It is also clear that WDs are somewhat unconnected to semen buildup. Old posts have been lost here at WDF, but there was one guy who AB'd for about 45 days without getting any WDs. But once they started, he got them every few days, even two nights in a row, and even two in one night once. Then he slipped back into MB and they went away.

The biggest success story here was 15 year old shadow-15. He had never had a WD before, but decided he was going to get them. He stopped MB cold trkey, and started sleeping nude. In a few weeks he started having WDs where he had sex with his girlfriend (they were waiting for marriage to have sex in real life). His WDs increased over time, until he averaged 4-5 per week, and sometimes two in one night. He was quite descriptive about his feelings and progress, and wanted everyone to enjoy them as he did. For him, it was easy and simple: WDs were better than MB, and he easily reached the point where he didn't even like to think about MB anymore.

He also verified a lot of anecdotal things we hear about WDs. He said they were 100 times better than MB, more intense and longer lasting. He said that they kept feeling even better over time. He said that he would ejaculate more semen volume in WDs. He kept insisting that was the case, not his imagination. This is interesting, since he might have more ejaculations via WDs per week than he did when he was masturbating.

Similar observations are supported by many other guys when they compare WDs to MB.

One of his recommendations, which is in opposition to what many here believe, was to imagine having sex before going to sleep. But he started doing this after already having made the transition to WDs. It may work if a guy can feel horny to be having sex in a WD while simultaneously being turned off by MB.

All in all, getting WDs seems like a 'brain wiring' thing. One of the keys to that seems to be 'disconnecting' from MB. It kind of makes sense that a guy who doesn't have the MB habit and sees MB as uninteresting and irrelevant while hoping to have sex in a WD is significantly more likely to get a WD than a guy trying to fall asleep while battling the urge to MB.

These posts and events happened before the popularity and frequency of 'no fap' on the internet. People now frequently report positive effects from AB. It seems that one of them is feeling and enjoying 'sexual energy' instead of wasting it in MB. Guys work out with more enthusiasm, among other things. It's not uncommon for guys who succeed on the '90 day no fap challenge' to decide to keep going.

There seems to be a high correlation between WDs and testosterone levels. It is commonly accepted among body building circles. Guys who take illegal testosterone raising drugs report WDs as a side effect. There is now reputable research showing that certain over the counter supplements do indeed increase testosterone. A couple I have recently found, including on the research gathering site of Pubmed, are fenugreek and tongkat ali. They both have other positive effects on health as well. I'm getting some of both.

Exercise and strength training, especially using heavier weights on large muscles like in the legs, is known scientifically to increase testosterone. More than one body builder has noticed a connection between intense workouts and an increase in WDs.

A contributor to reduced effects of testosterone is body fat. Body fat holds estrogen, which counteracts the effects of testosterone. There hasn't been actual research on it as far as I know, but it is quite consistent with known facts and quite logical to conclude that a lean, muscular guy who looks like he would be the kind of guy who gets WDs probably does. In addition, he may very well have gotten the motivation to reach that level of body shape by reducing or eliminating MB.

All of this might explain why WDs happen less frequently in older people.

There is more and more information and more anecdotal obsevations about MB, AB, and WDs on the internet than ever before. It seems like we can draw some general conclusions:

-AB has positive effects. It increases energy, confidence, even concentration, and often leads to WDs as an outlet. It enhances testosterone, which may play a key role in these effects, and MB may affect brain circuits that become addicted to a simple dopamine high from MB. But these observations are based on MB as the reference point. If you take the non-MB state as the reference point, it becomes clear that MB has a variety of negative effects.

-While everyone is different, there can be little doubt that a good WD gives a much more intense, longer lasting, and full body orgasm than can possibly be had from MB. That may be connected to the fact that a good WD will often result in more semen being ejaculated than can be had from MB.

-The aftereffects of a WD are radically different from MB. Rather than an 'MB letdown', after a WD a guy often feels horny, excited, and happy (he might even slip up and MB). The body thus seems to know the difference between the natural peak orgasm of a WD and the forced ejaculation by manual stimulation of MB. Might this difference actually happen before the ejaculation is complete, thus explaining the difference in semen volume and intensity between WDs and MB?

Very informative post, Texanguy.

I feel like I have started that transition away from MB. I'm not sure if you've read about my new plan for a gradual transition into AB, but it involves stints of gradually increasing periods of AB to hopefully help my body adjust. By the time I hit my next goal of 15 days (yes it's short, but I did say gradual transition) the shortest streak of AB from my previous three sessions will be 6 days. While I may have done some decent stints (44, 33, 20 days), they have all been outliers when compared to the previous ones. The next best is 4 days as the shortest run out of the last three, and I'm not sure how accurate the data from that period is anyway.

Early during my ABing, I managed to achieve success by 'shelving' my urges. I pretty much saw any kind of fantasy as 'evil' and didn't allow myself to even think about them. Not surprisingly, I started to lose my horniness. I'm sure there were other reasons too, but considering how I used to get horny even when I was sick, I think this showed I may have gone too far the other way. Later on, I started allowing myself to fantasise, but ended up MBing. Now I like to think I have a slightly better balance. I get horny and aroused, but I feel like that's beginning to disconnect from an impulsive need to MB. You can be horny and turned on by a woman or your thoughts, without needing to release. That's what I'm aiming for now. I think that shelving feelings of horniness is a sure step in the direction toward asexuality.

When I was younger, before I learned to MB, I used to look at my dad's porn magazines and get aroused. I would want to know what sex felt like, but I literally had no idea that you could 'DIY'. In those days, I coped without MBing. I remember, reading the many articles in those magazines, longing for one that described how you could feel an orgasm by yourself without a partner. So effectively I had a time in my life where I a) Got horny; b) Wanted release but ; c) Had no way of achieving that. Perhaps a trick to achieving this 'rewiring' is to begin to associate MB with such negative feelings, that you literally reconstruct that situation. Getting horny, wanting release, but having no way of achieving it. After a while, perhaps the body would switch.
