mastering lucid dreaming sex to substitute mb habit

Hi everyone I've been doing a bit of reading on lucid dreaming. I have copied this quote from a book called "exploring the world of lucid dreaming" by author called Stephen Laberge. See the highlighted section at the bottom of the quote for the references to wet dreams, and i've included the rest for interest and having an understanding of the context.
"One of the most dramatic demonstrations of the cor-respondence between physiology and
dream activity came from studies of lucid dream sex. In 1983 we undertook a pilot study to
determine the extent to which subjectively experienced sexual activity during REM lucid
dreaming would be reflected in physiological responses.
Since women report more orgasms in dreams than men do, we began with a female subject. We
recorded many different aspects of her physiology that would normally be affected by sexual
arousal, including respiration, heart rate, vaginal muscle tone, and vaginal pulse amplitude. The
experiment called for her to make specific eye move-ment signals at the following points: when
she realized she was dreaming, when she began sexual activity (in the dream), and when she
experienced orgasm.
She reported a lucid dream in which she carried out the experimental task exactly as agreed
upon. Our analysis revealed significant correspondences between the dream activities she
reported and all but one of the phys-iological measures. During the fifteen-second section of her
physiological record which she signaled as the mo-ment of orgasm, her vaginal muscle activity,
vaginal pulse amplitude, and respiration rate reached their high-est values of the night, and they
also were considerably elevated in comparison to the rest of the REM period. Contrary to
expectation, heart rate increased only slightly.
Since then, we have carried out similar experiments with two male lucid dreamers. In both
cases, respiration howed striking increases in rate. Again, there were no significant elevations
of the heart rate. Interestingly, al-though both oneironauts reported vividly realistic or-gasms in
their lucid dreams, neither actually ejaculated, in contrast to the “wet dreams” commonly
experienced by adolescent males, which frequently are not associated with erotic dreams."

I doubt that Stephen Laberge has taken abstinence into account here. He assumes that lucid dreaming won't cause a wet dream, but how does he know that when the two males were most probably sexually active, i.e masturbating or having sex regularly. Who knows, maybe becoming a lucid dreamer whilst being abstinent for a long time could allow somebody to manipulate their dreams and turn them into wet dreams.
One thing is for sure. Lucidly creating and enhancing sexual dreams is very possible and the research and evidence is shown here. If a guy can become experienced with lucid dreaming and attempts to enjoy several sex dreams, even if they don't become wet ones, would be in my opinion more satisfying and fulfilling than just masturbating .
So I have made a decision that after my exams, I will commit to a long term period of abstinence and I will try to master lucid dreaming, for the general experience, for lucid sex dreams and exploring lucid wet dreaming possibilities. I can see this being a very fun, new and fresh approach to getting more wet dreams, and I hopefully as a result I will forget about masturbation because I'll be getting a lot of fun sex dreams anyway! This should help me abstain for longer, because I will have a substitute and won't feel as if I'm missing out (that is of course if it isn't to hard to 'make it').
I have also noticed that abstaining increases dream recall and dream vividness.

WOuld anyone else like to try this with me, and have an opportunity to have a fun substitute for masturbation, if anyone is struggling with abstaining?

Interesting article, thanks for posting.

I have tried my hand at lucid dreaming but didn't stick with it long enough to get good at it. I was able to lucid dream a few times, but it fell apart rather quickly (I woke up soon after I realized I was dreaming).
I have had lucid dreams once or twice which led to ejaculation. It's worth perfecting it to be able to get such dreams more consistently.

But you do need the ability to sleep for a long time, without interruption. Or being able to wake up after like 7 hours sleep and go back to sleep, because a lot of lucid dreams happen during that time.

Also, I recommend melatonin. It's an over-the-counter sleep aid, and for some reason it makes your dreams much much more vivid and memorable.

From what I have heard, a lucid dreamer can implement "stabalising techniques", where he or she can try and make sure that they don't wake up.
You can go to bed earlier to get more sleep, if you wanted to. Also at the weekends you can have a lie in. Teenagers tend to get more wet dreams in the holidays or the weekends, because they are sleeping for longer and promoting more REM (rapid eye movement)sleep, which increases the likelihood of dream activity and recall .
