This site seems to think that you recondition yourself entirely once you start masturbating, and it's likely you will never have a wet dream after that:

I know that very little is know about the cause of wet dreams, and I'm just curious if this is something that any of you accept or if you overcame the odds. I ask this because I've never had a wet dream and I've been masturbating for something like 15 years. Anyhow now I'm on day 14 of not masturbating (or ejaculating any other way), and I'm going to go for a year if that's how long it takes.

Just curious about the validity of this particular claim.

On reading that article there is a lot of sense in what they are saying and to some point from my own views not based on any scientific knowledge as I don't have any! Just my own personal experiences. But it does seem to me the more I read some guys just never have wet dreams! It would seem that from starting MB for most guys not all but most that is the end of wet dreams or the chance of having them and then on you may well go in to sexual relationships as well as MB! Being old now myself I can AB for many months and never get a WD but I do find it easy in some situations to after AB for longer spells to do a hands free cum with slight cloths stimulation which I enjoy more than a WD! So I tend to agree it could be a very long AB period for some or the older you get! However by just reading this forum you can tell we are all so different what might be so for one guy is different for another I don't think you can say there is one rule on this for all! As it does seem in some ways we all have such different bodies and how they react. Try AB and see how you get on. I still think AB is good for you every now and then as is MB in the right levels.

Ya I was thinking more about it, and how many guys actually abstain for even a couple weeks once they become sexually active. I think the research is really hard, because most guys never stop once they've started and it's hard to find guys who will stop. I'm going to continue on my abstinence for as long as I can (only up to one year then I'm done for sure). Currently only on day 14, but I'm holding strong.

Here's to proving that website wrong!! Even if it takes a really long time.
