I guess maybe it has to do with my age (16), hormones and consistent exercise habits, not ejaculating has become really inconvenient.
I get wetdreams almost every night, which is nice, but interrupts my sleep and (especially given the large volume of the mess) I get erections really often for no reason. I also get blue balls pretty often for no reason.
Though I do ejaculate outside of wetdreams occasionally, whether it's by myself or with a girl helping, but I don't do it consistently.

Would masturbating regularly solve this problem or would it just make it worse?
Has anyone else gone through something like this?
How could I get my body to level out a bit?

Have you gone through periods where you MB'd on a regular basis? Unfortunately I can't speak from personal advice because I never did any extended AB periods at your age. Back then I'd be MB'ing 1-2 times a day. I never had a WD, even if I went through some brief AB periods (on the order of a week). If it isn't against your religious beliefs, try MB'ing to see if it cuts down on things. Just don't MB to porn. In some guys it increases libido and in others it causes a decrease.

Based on your user name and previous posts, you seem to be a guy for whom WDs are both your normal and preferred outlet, and for whom MB isn't that interesting or relevant. It may help if you MB, but it may not, since you are already ejaculating almost daily in WDs, which are probably more full and complete orgasms, with more semen volume, than you can get from MB.

One guy came here years ago who didn't MB, but he didn't enjoy his WDs. With people's encouragement, he started to MB regularly and his WDs went away. But then sometime later he wanted his WDs back. He even went to the trouble of changing his user name from something like 'WDhater' to something like 'WDlover'. The trouble was that he became addicted to MB, and had trouble stopping. Even when he succeeded in stopping MB for a while, the WDs wouldn't come back. He started posting less often, but finally posted getting one WD after abstaining from MB for a rather long time. But if he ever got back to regular WDs, he never reported achieving that goal before he quit posting here. He may never have gotten back to WDs as his main outlet.

There's no guarantee that the same thing would happen to you, but it might. But perhaps you could try focusing on other things and getting less aroused in the daytime, and see if that would help first, before running the risk of becoming addicted to MB and possibly losing your ability to get WDs. Plus, as I said, frequent MB may not help since you are already ejaculating frequently through WDs. You might also find frequent MB to be too boring to continue doing. So try focusing on less arousal during the day and see if that helps first.

You're right, I prefer WDs over Mbing, but WDs are starting to get really inconvenient. As stated above, I have to do lots of cleaning and their messing with my sleep schedule.
I've been trying to stop these feelings and urges I get very often, but again, I'm 16 and still not fully done with puberty yet.
The only regular ejaculating I do now is through WDs. (Self or girl inflicted ejaculating doesn't happen often enough for me to consider it regularly.)

I'm totally good with going back to MBing, like you suggested might work. I'm not so afraid of not being able to stop MBing again. I'm pretty good at self-discipline. What I am afraid of is my plan backfiring. What if my body starts making more testosterone and semen if I start ejaculating more? It would seem natural for my body to think that I need more of it if I use more....

I really need someone whose gone through something like this before....I guess I'll wait it out hoping it will end and trying to control my mind some more, but any advice on whether MBing (and how much) will help or hurt would be welcome!

Yeah, ha, you are 16, so whether you MB or rely on WDs, you are going to be horny all of the time and get random boners all the time, and the occasional blue balls! Just try not to think about sexual stuff TOO often when you are awake and I'd imagine that the blue balls will be less frequent.

You said that your WDs interrupt your sleep schedule and are messy. How many hours do you typically sleep? Like say for a school night--when do you tend to go to bed and when do you tend to get up?

Around what time do you typically get your WDs? Or do they vary an awful lot? When I got them sometimes when I was younger, I would usually get mine in the early morning, like around 6am or so.

And re: the messy bit--what do you usually sleep in? Boxers, pjs, in the buff? Maybe wear an extra layer when you sleep (if that's not too hot/uncomfortable), so if you get a WD and wake up soon after, you can just use your underwear to wipe it up, chuck it in your laundry, then go back to sleep wearing just your pjs or whatever. Or keep an extra pair of boxers under your pillow or something, so you can just switch into them after your WD and go back to sleep. If you sleep totally in the buff, though, I can see that being a problem since you'd get your juice all over the sheets, ha. That would be messy. Wear at least a pair of boxers to sleep in if you aren't already. It would make clean up a lot easier. If you get up soon after you come, it shouldn't soak through too much.

I sleep about 7-8 hours a night. I go to bed at around 11-12, and get up at around 7:00.
I can't tell around what time I'm going to get a WD. Sometimes they happen in the middle of the night, other times they happen before my alarm rings and still some happen right as I'm drifting off to sleep.
I sleep in an old shirt from on of my college brothers and some sweat pants or shorts. The issue with the mess is that occasionally, when I get hard my member sticks down one of my shorts legs and shoots out from there which leads to a messy bed.

The real reason these dreams mess up my sleep isn't that they wake me up. A loud noise or even just a noise might wake me up at night(not that I normally wake up for no reason I'm just saying). But after I get waken up from something like that, I can just roll over and fall asleep pretty much right away. With a WD I have an exciting dream coupled with a strong orgasm. That wakes me up pretty good so I can't just close my eyes and fall back asleep. Also, if my clothes or sheets get wet, I have to get up and change which means it gets even harder to fall back asleep.

I've been trying to ride these dreams out, but I guess a little wanking can't hurt in the end. I'm pretty good at self control and discipline so hopefully I'll be able to stop again if I want my WDs back.
