I think lifting might help. Heavy workouts can actually create more testosterone, as well as can abstaining from MB. These days, many guys on bodybuilding sites say ABing helps their gains and energy levels, and there are 'no fap' topics where guys post their progress in AB and its positive effects, including WDs.
I think it can help you succeed in your goal of getting WDs by recognizing that while MB used to be pleasurable, it is now becoming inadequate and boring. The letdown feelings after MB are becoming more negative, while the feelings after your WD were positive. MB isn't the least bit necessary; other guys have indeed successfully traded MB for WDs, and notice many other positive effects as well.
What I'm saying is that developing a negative attitude about MB and about being stuck in an endless 'MB-letdown' cycle, when WDs are a superior and more natural outlet that others have achieved, can help you succeed. Even if you slip up and MB, the right attitude can help you to ultimately achieve your goal.
Good luck in moving beyond MB to having WD after WD with no MB in between!
