I am cut and most of my life I really preferred to be that way. But I am a cyclist and I had issues with my glans getting sore from all the rubbing. I decided to start restoring. I am very happy with what I have accomplished so far. Most guys don't know anything but what they have had all their life. How would they know any different? I see why most like how they are. Now there are men who have been cut later in life for some reason or another. After the fact most who have been cut later in life absolutly hate the new feel and look. I know of a couple that restored back their foreskin after being cut. I will tell you this much it is a whole lot more comfortable to have the little guy covered. Lol. There was a study done and most women who have had sex with both prefer the intact man. Is this not what we are most concerned with, pleasing our wives, I feel like now, I would definitely not what to have been cut at birth.

Commandokid, yeah, I agree with the irritability thing w/having one's glans exposed all the time. I used to always wear tighty whities as a kid and early in high school I switched to boxers bec I thought theybwere cooler. I remember getting SO many boners from the mild stimulation I would get from my penis moving around and being stimulated a bit by tue fabric and ny legs, bec I wasn't used to it. But over time, my penis grew desensitized to all the new feelings and over the years got to the point where my penis head was hardly sensitive at all, even wet.

I'm glad that most of the guys here are content with the look and feel of their penis, whether cut or uncut. Every guy should like what he has. But most of the guys who have said they like being cut as still in their early twenties at the most, and my dick will still really sensitive then, too. As I got into my thirties, though, I began to notice the lack of pleasurable sensitivity down there that had built up over the years, and this began to hamper my ability to get strong erections, etc., even though I am otherwise healthy and have great testosterone levels. Intact guys with their foreskins generally don't have that problem, even as they get older, bec their glans are protected most of the time.

I'm just saying that one of the positive aspects of being uncut is the protective aspect, which is like a long term investment in your penis and sexual health.

Sadly, I'm cut. Here's the worst part though: I come from a line of uncut guys. My grandpa is uncut, my dad is uncut, my uncles are uncut, and my cousins are uncut. But for some crazy reason, my dad decided to cut his children. He said in the past it was so we could fit in with everyone else and not be embarrassed in the locker room or whatever. I also was cut twice - once as a baby but again when I was two because some skin had grown back. So not only do I have a normal circ scar, I also have an inch long scar on the side of my shaft.

I hate circumcision, I think it's horribly wrong, and I'm for obvious reasons restoring.

Hey its strange thay you were cut when no one else was in your family. ARe you sure u did not have medical reasons or anything? But it sounds is if you have asked about this as you know you have had two operations. I was but for medical reasons.

Nope, it wasn't medical. The second time I guess you could consider it as that. I don't know what exactly was growing back because my parents never really told me much other than I was cut twice. I guess it's cause I had a skin bridge or something. My sister just had a baby boy and I tried to convince her and her husband throughout the pregnancy to not circumcise him but they didn't listen. Now my sister has researched more about it and regrets doing it. Back to my dad's reasoning to cut me though, he said that it was simply so I could fit in. Thinking about it, he grew up in a time when 90 or more percent of American boys were cut so he was probably the only boy on his high school teams that had foreskin. Showering after practice and games could've been really embarrassing. Back then, he didn't know he actually had extra sensitivity thus making him superior to his teammates because he had no Internet to look it up haha. Instead, he was simply the odd one out. So he cut me and my brothers so we would be normal. Funny thing is, there's a lot more uncut Americans today so it really wouldn't have been an issue. Shouldn't have ever been one.

I started restoring years ago and even though I have never bought a restoring device, I have definitely gained additional skin through means of manual tugging and taping every now and then. I want to crack down for good though and finally get a device.

I have a concern about this issue. Actually there are two kinds of operations performed on the male genitalia regarding tradition and sexual purity. The first is the Jewish tradition of circumcision wherein the entire foreskin is cut off for me this sounds better because there is no room for the foreskin to hang loose thus giving a chance for exciting stimulation. The second type of operation which I have only discovered recently and is often confused with circumcision is what they call the 'dorsal slit.' It's similar to circumcision but the foreskin is not entirely removed or in some cases is not removed at all. In this operation a cut is performed on the upper side of the foreskin thus letting it hang loose on itself. For me this has caused much trouble because the foreskin left is easily stimulated by friction caused by the worn garment. Though I have no contentions regarding circumcision but I find the 'dorsal slit' a suspicious type of operation. If one's purpose is to perform an operation similar to circumcision why not just cut everything off.....It were better if the man were not circumcised at all because uncircumcised men have their genitalia intact and their foreskin is tight and not loose. My concern is not really the act of circumcision but there are some young people out there who are too weak to bridle their own bodies due to a weak conscience and a weak faith. I would rather be circumcised or be intact rather than being subincised but it is a matter of conscience and faith working through love.

Interesting discussion. I have a short foreskin which means I am kind of in the middle. I originally suspected I had been circumcised, but I can remember having intact foreskin as a child. I don't know how it affects my sexual life, I have only ever masturbated for starters. I have enough skin to move over the head of my penis, but it's dry due to being constantly uncovered. How much of this wetness is connected to pleasure? I feel like I am missing out and I'm not even circumcised.

The foreskin is highly egrounamis (spelled wrong sry) tissue that has more than 20,000+ sexual nerves, necessary for protecting an INTERNAL organ, needed for normal sexual intercourse since the foreskin acts as a gliding mechanism and just looks way better than a dried out cracking unsensitive head.

For me, I am disappointed that my parents did not do enough research or if they did any for that matter about circumcision. I never gave my consent to have a healthy, normal functioning peace of my perfect little body to be cut off for "astetic" purposes. For me the cut penis is not the NORM and makes me sad every time that I see my friends when we are showering after swimming or those random drop of the pants lol. The intact penis is more beautiful. the skin that protects the head and to see nice, perfectly normal glands with no cracking just makes me happy.

So I am regrowing my foreskin to get the look and alot of the feeling back that was taken from me as an infant.

A cut penis doesn't look bad, but an uncut guy will look the same when hid foreskin is pulled back (minus the circumcision scar and a dry glans...)

I'm sure your wife would support you if you found that having even some restored foreskin increased your pleasure, if not hers. Why wouldn't she want you to experience the best sex possible? Any extra skin you can grow makes even masturbation more pleasurable. Being able to not just move the shaft skin up amd down bit actually pull it up and over the glans a bit is a whole new experience and almost instinctually beces the focus of what you do. That let me know that, oh, that is how it's supposed to be done, ha.

Any comments made by women in college abt turtles and all--that's kind of immature and I'm sure your wife, as a nurse, has outgrown such remarks abt other people's bodies!

I was cut as an adult. I hated being the only uncut guy in a school full of cut guys. I also felt that it was a hygiene nightmare. I had a short frenulum and tight foreskin that added to the problems. I will say it was easier to MB uncut as I never needed lube, but over all I am very happy I had it done. The doctor did a very good job, and was able to leave my frenulum intact except for a small nick to give it a little slack. I do not notice any difference in sensitivity and the only big change is that I now have to use lube. I really do like the way it looks. I never used to be able to use a urinal but now I can step up to one in confidence.

Well... not really America's fault... it has been around for centuries predating all major religion... it started picking up during the Victorian era... and in the US became fulled by the madman John H. Kellogg (yes... the guy who made the cereal). He not only made male circumcision popular, but he also stressed the importance of female circumcision. Spouting that it reduce sexual desires, kept you clean, and caused the individual to avoid masturbation.

The foreskin is indeed a needed thing for sexual function. It makes sex easier, makes masturbation easier and more... plus... no lube needed even while wearing a condom. Even sex with a condom feels good.

Could be worse... you could have a mom that cut you because she wanted you to have your dad's dick... then lie for 15+ years and gloat about your circumcision... totoally ridunculous.

Ha, wow, especially considering that a boy's foreskin usually stays attached to his glans until he starts puberty or so, there would actually be very little to clean... But I don't think that most ppl who are cut or are women who haven't been around an intact baby know that.

If you read through this thread, you'd probably come across several answers to your question..., but the biggest one for me is that once I got into my 30s, I realized that my penis head was maybe 1/2 as sensitive as it was in my teens, and I realized that a large part of that was the keritinization or skin thickening/roughening and desensitization that occurs from having my glans exposed and rubbing against fabric all of these years from being circumcised. Cut guys in their teens and twenties will say, "oh, but my penis is very sensitive, I wouldn't want it any more sensitive than it is now..", etc. i would have said the same thing then, too. It wasn't until my late twenties/early thirties that the gradual desensitization was enough to be noticeable. Why do you think we sell so much Viagara and lube here in America? Older guys can't get it up easily here due to a combination of poor diet and the reduction of penise sensitivity since most white males are cut (not as many blacks amd Latinos are cut in the US, not sure abt Asians).

When I've kept my penile skin pulled forward for a while, covering the glans, I can really notice a difference in even temporary sensitivy gains. Also, using moisturizer on my glans after shower also eeally helps to restore amd smooth out the skin there. Give it a shot for a while, and seee what happens!
