Prescribed MB??

Has anyone ever heard of a doctor prescribing masturbation? I have posted a few times about leaking frequently when using the restroom. So frequently that I've considered seeing a doctor. My concern is that all they will recommend to resolve this is more frequent masturbation. Has anyone heard of this? Would you be willing to break AB for that?

Yes, a colleague of mine was advised by his doctor to have an ejaculation at least twice a week. So during the lean times between his outings with his girlfriend - they both had young daughters, and did not have sex in their homes, and thus went to hotels/motels - he was advised to masturbate. He used to suffer from extended headaches, and after following his doctor's advice the headaches disappeared. Had something to do with the semen build up in his body. I should add that the guy was in his early fifties at the time.

I have also heard it prescribed to patients who underwent prostate surgery to treat prostate cancer.

A very close friend of mine was getting mega stressed out at work he had broke up with his female partner so was not having sex and was working long hours! In the end he went to his doctor who asked him about many things one was his personal sex life and when he found out he guy had not been having sex or even MB for ages he just had not done it with work and the stress etc. The doctor told him to make some relaxing time and to MB at least 2 to 3 times a week .

So doctors will do this!

Now that worries me a bit - if we are supposed to release semen two times a week but go AB for weeks, or even months, to have a wet dream. And I just read another post where the OP had a prostate swelling. I am not sure what caused it, and it may not be due to AB, but it sounded like masturbating with ejaculation helped.

I would think our body would release it (hopefully by having a wet dream) before it gets that bad. But some people seem to get it more easily than others.

Prostate swelling can be caused by any number of things from bicycle seats to early stage cancer. If you have prostate pain or problems, a trip to the doctor is indicated. However, without any problems, it seems that (at least in my case) various reproductive fluids seep and ooze all on their own even without ejaculations.

I saw a sex therapist fr help with premature ejaculation and controlling SE's and she counselled me about masturbating often and using techniques to learn to delay ejaculation while masturbating.

new to the forum. i, personally, was prescribed mb. when i was 10, i rudely and embarrassingly discovered that i had a syndrome that causes me to se, esp. during stressful times. he could have prescribed meds to help control it but i was very young so i ran the very real risk that it would permanently affect my sexual development and the probable side effects were intolerable...
