My legs became hairy at about age 13. This surprised me a bit cos Dad had smooth legs. I was actually waiting for the hair on my arms to grow, for as a kid I had admired the hair on Dad's arms, and he had assured me I would have hair there when I was older. I didn't like hair growing on my legs instead at first, but after a bit (you may say) it grew on me.

I was blond as a kid (as the picture suggests) but my hair darkened as I approached puberty, and all my body hair - including my legs - was dark. Why did the fact that yours were golden require you to shave them? If I had still been blond as my legs became hairy, I would have been proud of them and let them grow.
