Thanks for the explanation. I think if he had a regular cycle of MB, then WD, then MB again, that the WDs may not have been as directly related to MB as he thought -- unless at times he abstained from MB for significantly longer times and didn't get a second WD. But then maybe he did get more WDs if and when he ever abstained longer. At this point, we may never know since it was so long ago and all we have are your general memories.

But we have seen here at this site that guys can abstain from MB for a few weeks and not get a WD. Then they slip up, MB once, and then get a WD soon after. But it also appears that WDs can simply exist at a lower rate side by side with infrequent MB. That may have been the case with your friend, whether one MB directly caused one WD or not.

It's interesting that he was opposed to MB on religious grounds but was quite comfortable nude in front of others who had similar inclinations, and often slept that way with no covers. I think that not MBing regularly allows at least some guys to enjoy their bodies more, including enjoying being casually nude. He probably also enjoyed his WDs 'of a sexual nature', even if he didn't like the clean up afterwards.

Some guys who completely abstain from MB can get 3-4 WDs per week, and even two in one night. At the other end of the spectrum, guys who MB'd once or more most days for years tend to have great difficulty getting even one WD when they try to get one by abstaining. Some people fall in between and both MB and get WDs at relatively low rates.

Hey! ddruffyn, your account was super interesting! That's cool that you and him were that comfortable around ea other. Did he ever catch you MB or having a WD?

What I find most interesting about it is that it confirms our suspicion that (most) WD's are triggered internally--by one's brain, and not bec of any external stimulation from underwear or sheets. Since M was on his back and nude, the only thing that caused his WD was his brain! It was cool that you got to see it bec that enabled you to see what most of us have only wondered about--what actually happens to our bodies when we have one, and how long does it take, etc. It was interesting to learn that his erection was so quick and that his ejac was so forceful. Like with the videos we have seen here, we can see that they don't all happen the same way, and perhaps your friend's was kind of unusual in how quickly it all happened, but it still adds some valuable data to this whole mystery.

What also really interested me is how quickly he had it after getting up for a bit. I have a loft bed myself, so I know the effort it takes to get up, go down the ladder, then if he hit his snooze, and then climbed back up into his bed. That kind of wakes you up. I identify with him lying on his back when it happened, though, bec almost all of the ones I've had that I can remember, I have been on my back. I wonder if there is something to that. Yes, as valuable as my isolated observation may be - it is just that, an isolated observation. From other incidental evidence, I believe that this was typical for M, but was it typical in a broader context? I cannot know. It is consistent with my observations from my own WDs, but of course, one is a poor observer, by definition, of anything in a dream state. I also suspect that some of my own WDs were not on quite so accelerated a time scale - but you know about our perception of time in dreams - my feelings on this may be entirely meaningless. So - what this may say about anyone else's WDs is still highly debatable, and the video records that have been captured are still the most valuable.

So - we know that M could have a ejaculation in a WD without any physical contact or stimulation, and I believe having awakened myself on the top of my covers with the evidence plain, that I have done so as well. We also know that there are people who are able to do this intentionally while conscious! Of course, in other chat rooms in this same site, people discuss spontaneous ejaculation (I had one myself once) and there are people who can do it on purpose as a form of non-physical MB (I guess - I never learned this trick). It should be no surprise to any of us that our mental state has a significant influence on the experience - and even the possibility - of ejaculating.

I understand that we are walking a moral and ethical fine line here, and I completely understand and support the "no nudity" policy, and yet it obviously limits our observations pretty significantly. Still, I don't know that I'd be willing for anyone to push the line any farther. Tough choice. Clearly, this is not the first time, nor the most significant time, nor will it be the last time, when morals, ethics, and research come into conflict. What brought me to rehashing that was the tiny "thought debate" that I just had with myself when I first thought "Too bad I didn't capture that on video" followed immediately by "you couldn't have posted it here, anyway - and it wouldn't be right to post it without M's knowledge - and that's NOT a discussion I'd be prepared to have with M."

M's ability to fall asleep after getting up to deal with his alarm was a matter of some amazement to me most EVERY morning, not just this one. As I said, if I hadn't had an earlier schedule, I think we'd have had a serious problem with this. It was, um, interesting the few times I was in bed to see him jump down, nude and usually erect, reset his alarm, and climb back in bed.

As for seeing me MB or have a WD, no. In fact, after debating with myself a bit, I offered to let him watch me MB to "even the score" since I saw him ejaculate, but he said while he appreciated the spirit of the offer, that wasn't something he was interested in at all. I'm sure there were a few times he was aware of me doing it, but nothing was ever said. I'm pretty sure he never saw me ejaculate.

I think the only thing anyone can learn from seeing a naked wet dream will be how far their ejaculation travels. Everything else you can see happen inside some clothing, from how fast an erection happens, to where it points, to if there is any throbbing, to seeing the semen being absorbed.

But what does distance and force tell anyone? I guess it tells us that wet dreams CAN be forceful, but not everybody ejaculates like a cannon. If you dont do this while awake, then I doubt it happens while asleep. If you can shoot while awake, then it makes sense you might when asleep. In fact, since I read you dont even need an erection to have a wet dream (can ANYONE ejaculate beyond oozing if not erect?) then it seems like if anything, even if you can ejaculate a certain distance awake, that in a wet dream there will be less force. So I doubt the opposite it true, that if semen only ever dripped out of you that in a wet dream suddenly it can go 5 feet. So a naked wet dream video will only tell us what the normal waking or sleeping ejaculation distance is.

For that reason, and because at this point it becomes pornography (to some at least) that it might not be a good idea.

I think it is great that you had that experience of seeing a wet dream first hand like you did. You also said it proved that the penis needs no stimulation to get erect and ejaculate, but we already knew that the brain was the biggest sex organ, and the penis can have a mind of its own. It gets erect every night in REM sleep even without a sexy dream or any stimulation. The brain provides the stimulation, in the dream and also simply whatever the mechanics are of making it all happen physically.

I notice that even when naked there is "stimulation." I find that even the sensation of starting to get an erection in itself makes the erection continue to happen. In other words, "getting an erection is a good feeling." I guess there can be air flow also contributing, but usually just having the penis travel from its soft state to its hard will make it rub against part of your leg or stomach on its journey to being hard, and this provides some stimulation even while being naked.

Hey guys, I'm new here and I have had several WD and after watching the various videos from this thread I can say that I understand WD more, like last week I was sleeping in the sitting room and had a semi WD (you know the one like in Jamie's first vid, where precum comes out b4 the actual main ejaculation) I would have the complete thing but was interrupted by a knock on my door. It definitely seems like an authentic WD, since he went from flaccid to ejaculating before even completing the erection. This video proves that you don't need any physical stimulation to get a WD. His brain supplied all the stimulation needed, most likely in a dream.

From the position of his penis before the WD started, he probably fell asleep without getting an erection. That implies that he wasn't resisting a strong desire to MB, and just went straight for a WD. It also implies no edging, and no edging needed. Together with being able to successfully capture his WD on a video, it suggests that he gets WDs quite easily and frequently, which implies that he doesn't have much or any MB habit. This is logically what you'd expect from a guy who is both motivated to capture a WD on video and succeeds in doing so.

There wasn't a lot of semen volume. That means that you don't need to be extra 'full' to get a WD. Together with the speed with which he went from start to finish, it implies that emptying this way is a pretty frequent occurrence for him.

This also suggests the real reason that abstaining isn't to become so 'full' that it has to come out. Rather, it's to retrain your brain away from physical stimulation and towards having more intense ejaculations through the wet dream brain pathways. It's shutting off the MB brain pathways in order to activate the WD brain pathways. This 'brain retraining' idea explains why most guys who succeeded in getting a WD say that edging makes it harder to get WDs.

I'm sure that the video was just 'fast forwarding' in order to get the the action part sooner. It shows that he was calmly sleeping for quite a while before the WD started, without having to wait through several minutes of nothing happening at normal speed.
