Wow, the first day of the new year is over already...in the blink of an eyelid...In the wake of 2012 I've been nostalgic thinking about the days gone by...I thought about this past year and the years prior to it...my heart squirmed and leaped as memories of the bad and good times flashed through the doors of my mind...it's been years since I lost the first girl I fell in love with...time heals but time never lets you forget...

I have some good news. I've been abstaining for the last 6 days and I'm lovin' it. The best part is I had a Wet Dream last night...

Hey folks,

Hope everyone's been successful in their AB runs. Well, I'll be entering Day 3 in about 2.5 hours. I'm typing this from my laptop and before I came onto the forum to log in this post I felt a tinge of temptation to surf porn but I diverted those thoughts to something more constructive. Today I met a girl on the bus and we were chatting for a while and she kept crossing and uncrossing her legs while talking to me and I started to get this bulge that wouldn't go away. She wore these tight grey leggings and a loose top like jacket. When it was time for her to leave I was relieved as my horniness declined..*phew* And if anyone was wondering what it was we were talking about....it was just small talk. Well I have some good news!! I'm on Day 6 of my abstinence journey. It's been a long time since I've posted but I do pop in once in a while to read newcomers logs and my friends logs. It's good to see everyone doing good on the AB front...I've been really busy with projects and studies so that has been taking up most of time since the last two months...since then I've been MB'ing most of the times until 6 days ago when I just stopped...well, I've got a lot of vasocongestion (blue balls) since this morning and it's pretty discomforting...it's like a lower abdominal cramp that extends to the scrotal sacs in the form of a pulsating discomforting ache...I've been reading up online and the quickest method of relief is a wank...that's not an option for me as I would be defeating the purpose of the reason why I started this AB run in the first place...any tips guys??

Unless your doctor have instructed you not to use tylenol (acetaminophen, paracetamol), some get relief by taking this over the counter medication to decrease the discomfort. Others have used low dose ibuprofen (motrin, advil) over the counter (except if the doctor has told them not to use this anti-inflamatory, since there are good reasons sometimes not to take it). To sit for a while in confortably warm water might help. Ordering thoughts, conversations, and avoiding images, sensations or other materials might help decrease the congestion, which will subside eventually on its own. Hope everyone's doing well in their AB journeys..I am currently on Day 3 of my newly started AB run and I have some good news...I had a WD just 24 hours after my previous masturbatory induced ejaculation..

Well, just to recap on my previous post..my blue balls did go away eventually(however, the day was crazy with a constant ache waist down)...

I will be sharing various articles and excerpts of books that I've been reading on the subject of abstinence and masturbation and how it effects the body and mind..I urge all my friends to participate in this as I love reading all your thoughts on various concepts...

So this is my first article based discussion on topics that are relevant to the interest of this forum. I came across this article a while back while browsing the net..It is from a site called ‘The Modern Savage’ and the writer is M. Savage.

The article describes the writer’s observations of his ‘no-masturbation’ policy for a week..Yep, just a week and it looks like a week was all that was needed to make some important observations. According to the author, There is an idea floating around that basically says that if a man abstains from ejaculating he will be more likely to pursue and attract females.

Here are his observations quoted from the main article.

“The first noticeable observation when abstaining from masturbation was that I was definitely more horny. No big surprise there. However, I believe that having that feeling of pent up sexual tension helped me to approach and talk to more women, as well as be more sexual around them. For instance, as opposed to approaching and having a casual friendly conversation, I was likely to use more sexual innuendos and be more direct about my intentions.”

“The second big observation from abstinence was my level of motivation. Not just motivation to go out and meet women, but my motivation to do other productive things in life, like exercising or writing for example. This was the complete opposite of weeks where I masturbated on a frequent basis. I’d just sit around the house all day watching TV, surfing the web and…uhh masturbating.”
Then, he goes on to talk about the influence testosterone. Now this part is really what got me interested..

“Essentially, testosterone is what helps make a man a man. It’s responsible for developing muscle and overall body fitness, not an unusual trait in an alpha male. Also, it helps to charge the male libido and sex drive.”

“So what’s testosterone have to do with masturbation? Testosterone is produced in the testicles and when you ejaculate you are releasing or using up some of that testosterone. This is fine when you are having intercourse with your desired partner, that is the whole point after all, but not fine when a chronic masturbation habit is leaving you drained of testosterone and limiting you from your true sexual potential.”

“In 2003, there was a research study done on the testosterone levels in males during certain periods of abstaining from ejaculation. It found that there was a gradual increase in testosterone levels during the first five days but on days six and seven there was a huge spike, up to a 147% increase in testosterone on day seven. After day seven, testosterone levels returned to normal, thus indicating that seven days is the effective number of days to abstain from ejaculating in order to hit peak levels of testosterone.”

Wow, now that was insightful…the study says that there was a spike of as much as 147 % in testosterone on day 7…This takes me back to by first AB run that I had on this forum..I remember day 7 was brutal and I was horny all the time and my body was begging for a release…It will be interesting to see if the same happens this time when I hit day 7…I’ll keep track of this for sure…

Thus, the study concludes that 7 days is optimal between ejaculations after which testosterone decreases..so if u have to masturbate wait for 7 days before ‘choking the chicken.’ (Excuse me for the lame penis reference jokes)
