Wet Dreams - what should I do?!

Hello to all!

I have recently come across this site, and I have found it rather informative so far to say the least! I have read through some of the past topics on the subject of wet dreams and I seem to have encountered a problem similar to MagicMurdock - that being that I do have wet dreams quite often...perhaps more than I would actually like to have.

I do have a question to ask you guys, and any feedback would be appreciated. I am a virgin, and recently my girlfriend and I have been talking about having sex. The only problem is that I am nervous that I might have a wet dream whilst we are sharing the bed together and, well, accidently ejaculate on her...and that she will freak out a bit over it. I know that it shouldn't bother her, and that in all reality it probably wouldn't be a problem for her, but I am still concerned about it.

On a separate issue, my girlfriend is still a virgin as well, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how I could make her first time easier on her, or any tips on what I should do in general?

I'd love to hear any thoughts or opinions on this, and I wish you guys all the best in attaining your goals of wet dreams!

P.S - English is not my native language, so I am sorry if my expression was poor, or if my grammar and spelling were incorrect.

Your written English is very good.

You asked a very specific question, how to make sure you don't have a wet dream on your girlfriend. The specific answer is that I think you are unlikely to have a wet dream right after sex.

But you didn't give us any details about yourself (some of which would also be of interest to us as 'wet dream researchers'). If you masturbate several times a week, or several times a day, and still have frequent wet dreams, you might have a wet dream after sex as well. But people who do that seem to be very rare. You might just wear some protective clothing to sleep to make sure you don't make a 'mess' on her if you are one of those people.

But if you don't masturbate, or you don't have wet dreams the same day or night you masturbate, you probably would not have a wet dream after sex.

You don't mention your age or circumstances. If like Magic, you are a religious person (since both you and your girlfriend are both virgins), and/or perhaps underage, I wonder whether you are really making the right decision. Might you regret it later? But that is up to you, and none of our business if you don't want it to be.

But we would like to get some information about you in our pursuit of wet dreams, if you wouldn't mind:

-How old are you?

-Do you masturbate? How often?

-If you masturbate regularly and still have wet dreams, do you have any theories as to why that is the case? For example:

-Did you have lots of wet dreams before you started masturbating?

-How old were you when you started having wet dreams?

-How old were you when you started masturbating?

-Did you masturbate in the past and then quit? How long ago?

-If you used to masturbate and quit, how long ago did you quit? How long after you quit did you start having wet dreams?

-If you had quit masturbating, why did you? Was it difficult to quit?

-You've read our posts. Are there any other comments you have that might be of interest to us in our pursuit of wet dreams?

Good luck, and thank you for your answers.

One more thought

If you are going to have sex, and if you are not old enough or ready to be a father (stable income, ready to support a child), make sure you use a condom!

Some Answers...

Thankyou for your replies, Texanguy. I'll just start by answering some of the questions you have asked:

-How old are you?

I'm 19 years old, my girlfriend is 18.

-Do you masturbate? How often?

I normally masturbate a few times a week, although this may vary depending on how I am feeling at the time. Sometimes I masturbate daily.

-If you masturbate regularly and still have wet dreams, do you have any theories as to why that is the case? For example:

-Did you have lots of wet dreams before you started masturbating?

I actually started masturbating before I ever experienced any kind of wet dream, so for me, wet dreams came later on when I went through puberty.

-How old were you when you started having wet dreams?

I was 15 when I had my first wet dream. The first one was unbelievable, I had heard of wet dreams before, but actually having one was unlike anything I had expected before.

-How old were you when you started masturbating?

I was about 13 when I first masturbated.

-Did you masturbate in the past and then quit? How long ago?

To be honest, I actually masturbate quite often and find it difficult to go for long periods of time without doing so. The longest I have probably gone without was probably about two weeks.

-If you used to masturbate and quit, how long ago did you quit? How long after you quit did you start having wet dreams?

Like I have said, I haven't ever intentionally 'quit' masturbating. When I went without for two weeks, it was more so that I didn't feel the need to at the time, rather than a conscious decision to actually quit. I continued to have wet dreams during that period of non-masturbation as well.

-If you had quit masturbating, why did you? Was it difficult to quit?

I think I have already answered this to some extent in my earlier answers. I didnt' find it difficult to 'quit' as that wasn't really my intention. I must say though, I admire the dedication of everyone on this board to go with out masturbating for sometime, I think I would find that quite difficult to do.

-You've read our posts. Are there any other comments you have that might be of interest to us in our pursuit of wet dreams?

I am not really sure what you would find interesting, but I have noticed that the majority of you seem to think that not masturbating will increase the occurance of your wet dreams, but I personally have found that even if I masturbate on a regular basis, I still have them quite frequently. Perhaps I am strange?

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them and I will try to help you out with some responses for your research on the subject.

In response to some of your other questions, Texanguy, I don't think that I will regret having sex with my girlfriend. I am a virgin, but for me this has nothing to do with religion - it has just been my personal choice to wait a little longer until I found someone that I really loved and wanted to be with. My girlfriend and I are both over the age of consent, so this is not a problem, nor is it the reason we have chosen not to have sex so far.

In all likliness, I know that after we have sex, I will probably not have a wet dream, but there is always a slight possibility, and this is what is concerning me. Sometimes I may have a wet dream at night even if I have masturbated earlier on in the day, and I am concerned the same thing may happen after I have sex. Particularly because I managed to have these dreams without having the added turn on of a woman lying next to me naked!

I do feel that this is something we are both ready for, and of course we are intent on using protection.

I think I am going to leave now, I am getting slightly turned on by thinking about all this stuff and need a distraction of sorts... I hope this doesn't seem weird to you all....

Thankyou for your replies, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. If anyone else has any further suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks, Kris

Thank you for your answers. Your English seems as good as if you were a native speaker. Where are you from?

I am sure that you are very unusual in that you have frequent wet dreams even though you masturbate. I think you are in a small minority, based on postings by various people on the web, including professionals who give advice on such matters. For most people, if they masturbate frequently they don't have wet dreams at all. A majority of people have never had even one wet dream, or at most had only a few, in their whole lives.

How do you compare the feelings, intensity of wet dreams to masturbation? After having them for 4 years, are they still the same as when you first had them?

How often do have wet dreams?

Thanks again for answering my questions. And best wishes for you and your girlfriend.

Thankyou for your reply again.

I am glad that my English is adequate enough, I'm Norwegian, but I was raised in Spain until I was 12, where I returned home to Norway again with my family.

To answer your questions:

I have found that the feeling of a wet dream is much more intense than the feeling of release that you get with masturbation, it is unlike any orgasm I have ever had from masturbation before, and I am hoping that the intimacy of sex will enhance things further. I have found though that none of my wet dreams have been as intense as the first one I ever had, but there are still immensly pleasureable. I couldn't really tell you how many I have ever had, or how frequent they are, as sometimes I can have them very often, sometimes I will go for months without any.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but I think the frequency of my dreams depends on how I feel in life at the time. Ie - when I am more sexually frustrated I tend to have more wet-dreams. Quite often though, I also tend to have a lot of 'dry dreams' as well.

I hope some of this has been helpful to you, and I again wish you luck in your goals! May I ask you if you have ever had a wet-dream yourself?

It must be quite late in Norway right now!

Your pattern of wet dreams is interesting. If you didn't masturbate you might have more of them, and not go for so long without them at times. But who actually knows for sure? Wet dreams apparently have never been a subject of intense scientific study.

Your description of wet dreams as more intense than masturbation seems to match the experiences of many other people. As to whether sex is better than wet dreams, I get the impression that opinions vary. Mike (Brahms2 , who quit masturbating a couple of months ago and has had two wet dreams since, has had sex in the past, but said he has not pursued recent opportunites to have sex (at least so far!) because he wants more wet deams.

May I ask what the subject matter of your wet dreams are?

As for me, I've had a few wet dreams in my life, years ago. One was after 9 days of not masturbating and a complete surprise, but most were after a much longer time. Like most people, for me regular masturbation seems to prevent mine. Now I'm older, so I may have more difficulty or may have to wait longer for mine.

Please feel free to post in our regular topic, currently 'Wet Dreams VIII'. There are no special qualifications, just the sharing of an interest in wet dreams, and in having them.

Texanguy...

Actually, it is quite early over here at the moment. I have had to get up early to do some work!

About the subject of my wet-dreams, it tends to vary. The last one that I had, I was dreaming that I was at a concert when it started to rain. A girl that I didnt know was standing next to me, and of course, she was wearing a white top which became see-through from the rain, and I could see that her nipples were erect. I offered her my jacket, and she told me she could think of better ways to keep warm! So from then I got totally aroused and she rubbed her hand over my jeans and slowly unzipped them as she lead me to a more secluded place. I pulled off her top and started to rub her nipples and stroke her body while I was kissing her, and then she began to give me a hand job......and it was so intense that I came pretty quickly and that is when I woke up!

My girlfriend and I are going to go out later on tonight, so maybe tonight will be the night? Maybe I will be able to compare things for you better tomorrow?

I'll try and post in your wet dreams section later on, but I have to go and work on some stuff at the moment!
