What's your hypothesis? (If you have one, otherwise what's the point of this thread?)

Among other reasons, I hope this poll will help motivate me to read more since the votes can be changed now.

I'm all for reading, although I would want to read interesting and positive text. When it comes to religion, I find there is a lot of dogma. I'm interested in philosophy and psychology, not theology. :techie-studyinggray:

Yeah, I agree: any reading that puts your mind in a positive place is alright with me. :handgestures-thumbup:

This is the religious section though—not the psychology or philosophy section—so that’s why I called this thread Religious Reading. I’m leaving it open to the voter to decide what qualifies as religious reading. Self-help books, for example, are usually classified under psychology and yet so often they copy sayings and ideas from religious texts.

Yeah I would say that qualifies for this poll. Also most books that are classified under "Inspiration" and "Spirituality" I would consider to be religious reading.

If you have one all-inclusive term for all these different classifications then I may consider changing the title of this thread to that term.

EDIT: Nvm. I visited the Amazon.com website and they have everything classified under "Religion and Spirituality."

EDIT: Sorry everyone for resetting the poll. :( I changed the poll topic to what you read most. (Dec 6, 2009)
