This is in an effort to find out what guys who are abstaining or who are WD’ers are wearing. So, Help me out and pick the underwear you wear on a daily basis… select all that apply.

Ever since I started abstaining from MB, I went commando and the feeling is just so great. Walking around or doing work, you can feel your genitals move at the slightest movement, and WOW!

I've been experimenting a bit lately with looser garments, such as commando, boxers, looser briefs etc. However, nearly always I've preferred pretty tight briefs. Historically, I just haven't liked the feeling of things bouncing around, I guess--especially at events requiring lots of walking, like an amusement park. With less walking, like at home, I'm OK with briefs having ample room, or going commando. When avoiding stimulation, I find it's better to sleep nude. Any undergarments create more friction/stimulation for me that simply wearing nothing.

Boxer briefs, in particular, I've never understood the allure of. With boxers, it seems you have to insert your penis down one leg or the other, and there it dangles. Meanwhile, the testicles maybe don't quite make it down one of the legs, and get caught/squeezed if you're not careful when moving your legs. Boxers give no support whatsoever, as far as I've experienced.

The athletic shorts which include built-in briefs are pretty good, though. But they're looser than tighty-whities, still allowing your package to move around while you're walking/running. A jock strap still seems the best bet for going running.

Ha ha, what? I'm not sure what you mean by the athletic shorts w/built in briefs--do you mean like swimming trunks? Or do you mean boxer briefs. Bec you say you've never understood the allure of boxer briefs, but then you go on to describe regular boxers. Are those two separate topics, or are you confusing boxer briefs w/regular boxers? Cuz man, you've must have worn some pretty tight boxer shorts if you have had that experience w/regular boxers w/finding a leg for your penis and getting your nuts bunched up when you walk! (Either that, or you're hung like a horse, haha) Cuz I'm more of a "shower" than a "grower" in that dept. and I've never had those problems.

What I like abt boxer briefs is that they seem to give the benefits of both regular boxer shorts--more coverage, a better look (I think), and color options, and some more room in the crotch (+ plus women tend to rate them the highest on which type they like on men!), and yet they also give you more of the "support" for your package you get from a brief and they keep you warmer in cold weather. What I dislike abt briefs the most is there is no air circulation there--by the end of the day, my nads feel all hot and itchy, not a pleasant feeling. Plus, it's not good for your nuts to get too hot--it kills your sperm. That's why your balls dangle separately from your body, to keep 'em cool. And there's just something embarrassing to me abt wearing tighty whities, haha. Like I wouldn't want to change in front of others if I am wearing them. If I am wearing boxers or boxer briefs, I don't care who sees me. Weird. Maybe brings back bad childhood memories or something, haha.

I will admit that I found out recently that wearing a jock strap is indeed extremely comfortable for running, so I agree w/you there! (A doc recommended I get one to avoid a hernia, and so far so good!)

I think he is referring to running shorts. Built similar to swim trunks, they are a very light weight shorts, with a thin built in brief to keep your junk from bouncing around as much. (not with mesh, like swim trunks) Some of my friends who play soccer wear them too and Ill wear them once in awhile to jog in. They are very comfortable... I’ve never went running in a jock before, but ill have to check that out to see how it works out.

One's junk does bounce around a lot more in these, though, than with a jock strap. So if you're currently avoiding penile sensation to help continue abstaining for a wet dream, a jock strap gives the most support with the least "excitement" down there.

Squeeze is correct that looser undergarments (or none at all) do allow more air circulation. For example, going commando is great for keeping your junk cool, especially right after a shower, if your skin hasn't totally dried. So what matters is whether one is OK with things bouncing around for the sake of air circulation, or finds this sensation distracting and would rather have his package supported and not moving against clothing as he walks.

OK, yeah, I have a pair of those running shorts. They are super comfortable for just lounging around in, doing stuff around the house, or sleeping even, but yeah, I've been running in 'em once or twice and felt that I bounced around too much in them, too, and the rather silky texture of the inner brief thing was a bit too stimulating for jog time, haha. But you can comfortably wear a jock, brief or even compression shorts under them for that kind of activity.

Yeah, I think commando for me would be a bit much, although, like most Californians, I wear my board shorts commando. I just can't imagine going commando with most types of clothing, like jeans--doesn't your penis head hurt from the abrasion? Ouch is all I can say. Unless one is intact, with their foreskin, I can't imagine that being comfortable, and if not, it seems like it would only serve to de-sensitive your penis head over time, which will happen enough if you are circumcised like me. Plus, if you get a few post-peeing drops coming from your little man, there is nothing to absorb it but your pants--kinda embarrassing :oops: What are your experiences w/these issues, commando fans? :confusion-scratchheadblue:

Hi, I have been going commando for the past 3 weeks and I feel okay from it. Wearing trousers or jeans isn't a big problem for me so long you place the penis in a good position. I have not experienced any abrasion yet, but it may be uncomfortable if one gets an erection when in jeans. Oe with foreskin may be more dangerous than one who is circumcised, 'cos there may be this possibility that the zipper may jst zip the foreskin and that is really OUCH!.

As for the post-peeing drops, i ensure that nothing is seen by flicking the penis to let all the pee come off before putting it into my pants. Once again, the main worry is when at any point in time, a SPONTANEOUS EJACULATION occur , and that will be disastrous because you have no control over it and everything will be seen.

Hope I have help answered some of your queries. Do consider going commando, it is really good.

I alternate between boxers and boxer briefs most days. During the summer and particularly during the weekends if I'm wearing loose shorts, I'll wear boxers because they feel cooler. In the winter, I wear boxer briefs more. And when working out, I wear sports briefs or compression shorts or, once in a great while, a jock strap. I know some guys apparently go commando at the gym, but I feel like I want the boys supported when I'm working out! .

Going commando is awesome around the house, or even wearing loose boxers. I just don’t think that I would be able to play sports or hit the gym going commando. I’d be working out with a hard-on the entire time…I have to have some sort of support. As of yet, I still haven’t attempted to go running in a jock but I plan to check it out. Overall, still a “briefs guy“... hehe

Okay, Okay… running in a jock isn’t that bad. I wore one yesterday during my run. Its actually very comfortable, better than sport briefs for me anyways…

I wear trunks. A lot of girls have told me I look good in them. They also keep my balls from flopping all over.

Boxer-briefs almost all the time. But lately I've been trying briefs again, but the problem I'm having is that the pairs I get are a bit too tight: They tend to dig around the groin region. Maybe I need to go one size bigger, or try different brands.

Ha ha, yeah, wearing both briefs AND boxers is a bit much, haha. Someone must really be afraid of being seen naked!

I like wearing regular boxer shorts, I like the freedom and the occasional "breeze" you get when you wear them under shorts, haha. But since I've been working on foreskin restoration, my glans has become more sensitive from being covered up more, and so when you are in boxers, it moves around and the corona/edge of your penis brushes up against your boxers/pants when you walk and that is irritating to me now. But if I am able to restore enough to where at least the corona of the glans is covered, then I can wear boxers comfortably again. But I would still prefer boxerbriefs when I am doing something more athletic or when it's cold out!

If I had to commit to one type I would pick briefs, but the truth is I rotate through the full spectrum and have plenty of each type. When I was a teen I wore bikini style briefs the most (this was also when I had the most WDs) as I wanted both the support and the erection hiding as I seemed to get a lot of spontaneous ones. Then I discovered boxer briefs and worked a few into my regular rotation. Even though I am a brief man, I never wear tighty whities, they are so unsexy, I haven't wore them since I was too young to remember, I always have a colour or pattern.

I agree with the comment that you usually have to pick a leg in boxer to put your dick down, but that is OK if you pick loose ones and your shorts are long enough.

The truth is you need to pick your underwear to your clothes or the activity you will be doing... Wearing tight jeans, go with bikinis; boardshorts at the beach, go commando; walking shorts on a hot day, go with loose boxers and enjoy the breeze; walking a lot, boxer briefs; a lot of manual labour and lifting, go with briefs.

I will asmit I have a couple of pairs of thongs, can't say as I like them that much usually can only stand them for a short time, even less if they have a T-back as I hate that up my crack. I did recently by a non-athletic jock with an open back (two strapps around each cheek) and it is great under boardshorts when you think an erection might be embarassing.

I asked a friend once, what type of underwear (they're called undies, in my country), he said boxershorts & briefs. I asked why, he says, to hide the erection, and if i get dacked (when someone pulls your pants down, great times in Australia) no-one will think that i wear tight undies.

BTW i wear briefs, because i get ALOT of erection.

I rotate a lot... I wear boxer briefs the most, but I change them based on activity and devices I use for restoring.
