Dickenson, thanks for your invitation. I'm currently very tired. I think this is due to the 'waiting period' for the much anticipated wet dream. I'll join you guys out there whenever I'm free. I'm not sure about sleeping problems. The best policy may be to realize that you can't 'force' a wet dream, so just relax, don't think about it, go to sleep, and let it happen.

People who haven't masturbated in years and have frequent wet dreams don't fret about not masturbating or hoping for another wet dream when they go to bed at night. They just go to sleep.

I've seen that this site is slow to download as well, and I have a cable modem.

Thanks for everyone's coments. No, the nurse didn't comment on my penis, Dickensen. I think she was kind of nervous with that. So she tried to keep it covered. But my doctor has seemed to like examining my genital area.

Dickensen meant that he's been trying for a wet dream since around May 1, Texanguy. He just had July 1 on his mind, since that's when I had my last one.

It sounds like you know quite a bit about nutrition. Do you exercise regularly too?

As far as penis size is concerned, from what I understand, the right way to measure it erect is along the top, with it 90 degrees from the body. It's OK to push the ruler up against the body at the base. Maybe you are longer than you thought!

As far as my 'spontaneous orgasm' goes, I was up and awake, thinking about other things. It felt a little bit like a sudden need to urinate (although my bladder was not full), but then it got the feeling you get just before orgasm, only not as strong. At that point, it did become arousing, but again, not very much.

In a way, I suppose it's like having a 'wet dream while awake'. But in other ways it's the exact opposite. It doesn't feel as good as masturbation, but a good wet dream feels a lot better!

I think I may not get erections during the day as often as I used to when not masturbating for several weeks. But I usually wake up erect. (I sleep nude, so there is nothing constraining anything.) But when an erection happens it's the same as the 'old days'.

Maybe that's age and changing hormones, but I think some of it is just time and experience. For example, if you loved chocolate cake (forgetting about diet for now), and discovered a new bakery that makes outstanding chocolate cake across town, you may become a regular buyer, and look forward to getting the next cake when you are finished eating the last one. But after several years of doing this, although you still like the cake, it no longer seems quite as exciting an experience to go out and buy the next one. It's a matter of familiarity, not appetite.

I also feel that there is a natural tendency to hold off 'terminating' erotic feelings by forcing a quick orgasm, and to enjoy the ongoing erotic feelings instead. Eventually, it can be 'erotic' even unerect. Some people not even trying for a wet dream like the feelings and 'challenge' of not masturbating for a while, and they certainly don't stay erect all day, every day. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think it applies to some other people as well.

It sounds like you might also go without masturbating much at times. You said you started your 'wet dream quest' July 1, but hadn't masturbated for 2 months or so before then. And at your age you said it is difficult. Does that mean that you sometimes 'deliberately' arouse yourself without going to orgasm? (I think you implied that, but I'm not sure.) As we've discussed, it seems that people who have wet dreams apparently don't do that. It may prevent wet dreams. Of course, there's not much you can do about involuntary arousal.

Thank you for your comments on my studies. I really appreciate that. Yup, becoming a doctor is good; for one thing, it's a noble profession and seconly, it's really my dream since I was 3. But if this isn't really God's idea, then, I'll be doing other things, eg: journalism or even a sports car designer. Knowing that there's God really makes me feel secure and very assuring. He created me and has a plan for me. He'll help me and guide me all the way through my life (even for wet dreams too, I guess!)

It's normal to wake up with an erection, and to have it go away later. And of course it's normal to feel a need to urinate after a night's sleep. Some people say they are connected, but others don't. I think they are independent.

I agree, that teenager probably went back to masturbating -- most people do. It doesn't mean he feels bad about it, he may have just given up on his attempt to get a wet dream, and went on with his life. Maybe some day he'll try again, or maybe it's no longer relevant to him.

Actually, if anyone is following these long winded, esoteric, and sometimes off-topic posts, they may become inspired to pursue wet dreams themselves -- but only if WE start having them! If you, Hoban, and I start getting them and post how much we enjoy them, we may get LOTS of copycats. But probably not until then.

That brings up an interesting point. In all my internet searches, I've never seen a chain of posts like this one, where people are posting about their pursuit of wet dreams. We may be making history, even if it's rather meaningless and we don't succeed. (perhaps even less relevant than someone breaking the world record for eating Oreo cookies.)

But neither are people posting us that they tried not masturbating for months, and that they never had a wet dream. All I see are people who 'quit' masturbating for long enough to 'kick' the habit who then started having wet dreams, and other people who quit for a few weeks and gave up without having one. And lots of people who want them.

The best attitude seems to be the one you expressed: that you've really enjoyed this experience, and are getting used to this 'new' way of life. Make this 'new' way the 'norm', and then, sometime after that, start having wet dreams. That fits the 'profile' of successful new wet dreamers.

Yes I heard that practice makes perect. That's good that you were practicing for marriage. That's too bad that Britney Spears isn't a virgin anymore. It's all right if you still like her, Dickenson. But I think I like Hilary Duff better, since she's more decent eand everything. I don't know about Britney Spears' movie. But in Hilary Duff's movie, Hilary's character, Lizzie McGuire and her class go on a school trip to Italy, and have adventures there. I liked the movie.

I don't think I've experienced something like that. I just remember having ejaculations in my sleep. But hopefully the rest of your semen will come out real son in a wet dream. It's hard to say if you had an ejaculation or not. You may have been quite aroused and made a lot of 'pre-cum' while asleep. It's also possible to have a wet dream and not remember it, although it sounds like the quantity of semen (if any at all) must have been rather small. It couldn't have been a 'full' orgasm. Maybe it was a 'mini wet dream'. I'd take what happened to you as a good sign that your body is starting to consider 'sleeping alternatives' to waking masturbation. Maybe you're body will say 'that wasn't so bad, next time I'll go for a complete orgasm that way'. Maybe it will build up in intensity each time, until you wake up realizing that no masturbation could feel

My situation while awake was definitely semen. It's as if my body decided to ejaculate on its own without conscious arousal while awake, although it was accompanied by 'slight' feelings of orgasm as it happened. My guess would be that your situation is closer to a real wet dream than mine, since you were asleep when it happened. But mine was closer to a real ejaculation (it actually was one).

Both 'events' may be a sign that our bodies are seeking alternatives. We just have to make our bodies understand that masturbation is no longer an option, and they'll figure it out! After all, we are both ahead of the many people who've never had a wet dream in their lives. Our bodies 'know' how to have them, they just have to 'relearn' it. By the way, were you very aroused that night before you went to sleep?

By way of encouragement, I've seen a couple more posts on the internet by guys who have had a few wet dreams. They really liked them, and would like to have a lot more. One guy said that if he could have them every night, he'd never masturbate again. I'd bet he'd take every other night, or even a few times a week, as well! Still, most people don't have the determination to do anything about it. If they don't masturbate for a week or two, they give up or 'give in', and start masturbating again. More and more, I think it may be that you just have to 'kick' the masturbation habit and get it completely out of your system before your body decides to go for the wet dreams it hasn't had in years.

As far as the position of my penis, I just don't think about it. Unerect, it just hangs down. If I get an erection, I just have to shift things around to accomodate it. I don't put a lot of thought into it.
