I have however been abstaining for 32 days now and have had 2-3 wet dreams per week the last couple of weeks. They were consecutive and usually Sunday -Tuesdays. These are always the days I am horniest and is actually around the day of week I started abstaining from masturbation.

This week has been hard for me because I did not have a wet dream. Today I felt like I had to pee and when I went to the bathroom, barely touching my penis, I felt semen gush up my shaft. I am starting a new AB streak. I fell of the wagon for a bit. I didn't go MB crazy, but enough to make me want to start to AB again.

Almost two weeks! Believe it or not, but I had another WD last night. Bigger than the previous one. Not sure if I was just super full and one was not enough, but have had 3 in one week in the past as well.

After stumbling a bit, I am at it again. Around a week now (have not kept track). It has been hard the last couple of days. The good thing is I had 2 WDs...

Day 9 now. Had another WD this morning. Was feeling horny yesterday, but managed to not touch myself at all. Guess that worked!

Texanguy has asked me why I think I have so many WDs. The answer is that I cannot pinpoint anything exactly, but here is a list of some of my habits:

- I try to sleep at least 8 hours a night.
- I sleep in boxer shorts or briefs, I think sleeping naked makes me subconsciously scared of the mess.
- I always sleep and have WDs on my back.
- I drink a lot of water.
- I go to gym at least 5 times a week.
- I drink a multivitamin for men everyday which has prostate support ingredients.
- I have WDs some days with 0 horniness and another times when I struggle to keep boners away.
- I get WDs even when I MB ( although I feel tired then)

I think some of the things you described may be contributing to your WDs:

-At least 8 hours of sleep is I think more than most people get. REM sleep (where dreams occur) happens more later in the sleep cycle. For this reason, they say that statistically more guys have their WDs on weekends when they can sleep in.

-Working out, especially with heavier weights, increases testosterone. Body fat retains estrogen in males, which reduces the effect of whatever testosterone levels they have. A lean, muscular guy is thus likely to have more testosterone and have less of its effects canceled out by estrogen in body fat. It also seems like WDs are a common discussion on bodybuilding sites.

So that would lead to the question: How good of shape is your body in? Are you both lean and muscular? How well do you fit the theory I've offered in the past, namely that if a guy is lean, muscular, and in shape, that it's pretty likely that he gets more WDs than most guys?

You are right Texanguy, I actually do have a low body fat percentage. Used to be skinny but have added muscle through years of gym.

Your 'low key' admission to being lean and muscular, as well as exercising regularly, lends support to the idea that this probably leads to more frequent WDs.

Actual scientific statistical studies correlating muscularity, exercise, and body fat levels to WD rates may never be done. But there is a logic to such a connection. WDs have been shown to be connected to higher testosterone levels, and exercise, muscularity, and low body fat is correlated with higher effective testosterone levels. Logically then, lean muscular guys who work out (and don't MB all the time) on average would have more frequent WDs.

It's interesting that at least some guys on AB tend to get more interested in working out, and have more energy and determination to do so. There is also a belief among many serious bodybuilders that MB reduces gains and motivation by lowering testosterone, so they don't MB.

So guys serious about getting WDs should probably not only abstain from MB, they should work out regularly, lose body fat, and maintain a good diet.

The great thing about AB is that you actually have more energy to go to gym.

I relapsed a few days ago. Have luckily been very busy since then so I have a good feeling about my next streak.
