Hi guys! I am a new guy here. Just found this forum at the end of December 2014, but I am already abstaining from MB from the end of November. So, was very surprised that I am almost ready to see my first WD.

The internet is making it more and more mainstream to recognize that there are positive effects to AB (abstaining) like the ones you mentioned, and that MB (masturbation) can have negative effects. I think guys living in western cultures used to feel like they were isolated 'freaks' if they personally enjoyed the effects of AB more than MB, but now it's becoming more and more accepted that it can actually feel better not to masturbate, and that sexuality can be better expressed and enjoyed by not masturbating. If you are new the WDs (wet dreams), they can be quite different from MB. The biggest difference is that many experienced WDers (wet dreamers) will tell you that their WDs are more intense and longer lasting than MB and that they ejaculate more semen in WDs than they did when they used to MB. This is true even if they have several WDs per week. The other thing about WDs is that they normally don't take away the feelings of sexual energy like MB does.
