So im starting now and hopefully i can get a lot of endurance but im not optimistic, feeling horny as hell while trying to AB. This is day 2 already, I found the forum yesterday and made a silent pact with myself to try to go for the gold and beat Zack's record after reading his log which was frankly an amazing log. I think if i make it a competition for myself it might take away some of the frustration of AB and give me some motivation to push harder, faster and stronger.

I find it hard too. I am horny like 99.99% of the time. But I think i'll give it another go. Best of luck man..

I fell off the wagon today but I am going to keep trying, its soooo hard to keep it going but here's hoping it works

I went running for about 4 hrs with a 1hr 30 min swim thrown in the mix, it seemed to help me to recharge and refocus. Has anyone else had good results from being physically active? The 4 hr run was 2hrs one way and 2hrs back running an approximately 10 mile course I plotted on roads near to where I was planning to swim. The more time I can spend exercising the less time I have to let my mind wander and become horny or distracted from my goals.

Almost fell off the wagon today, was with this really hot girl I met at Starbucks and we went swimming and one thing led to another and I almost lost my motivation to stay AB completely. But I remembered the advice you guys have given me and it really inspired me to put everything in perspective, I didn't MB like I wanted to after that experience and I felt really frustrated but now looking back on it from earlier in the afternoon I am kinda excited in the sense that I persevered and held on. So here's to many many more days, hope I can keep it up

thanks so much for the encouragement, right now mb hasnt even crossed my mind in a while so I feel really energized and confident. Right now I'm trying to find a train to hitch a ride on to distract me from wanting to mb, I figure if I took a train 300 miles one way and then 300 miles back it would probably keep me busy enough running from the cops and railroad thugs to be able to ab hardcore. So wish me well, I'm gonna do it prolly at midnight tonight when the rail yard switches shifts

Yes, my sister is a keen runner and she had been encouraging me to start running for a long time. I started the The Couch-to-5K ® Running Plan a few weeks ago and wanted to get up to speed before I visited her earlier this week so we could go running together. And we did! It was awesome! She suggested we could try 5k, so I agreed. She was veerrry encouraging, like a personal trainer! "Breathe deeply to get the air into your lungs," "put your shoulders back so your lungs can open fully," "you're doing really well..." It was fantastic. I needed to stop a couple of times, but she kept pushing me and encouraging me to run just a little bit further. My confidence has skyrocketed and I can't wait to go back out and run.

Man that sounds intense and I definately agree. I'm already on day 4 now and I'm finding it so much easier to remain focused on my goals just by being physically active. Today I went cliff jumping and did about a swimming 3k across a lake. I definately appreciate all the encouragement and advice I've been getting from all of you. Really for me the thing that is hardest is remaining focused and trying to cut down any downtime. I've found that the more engaged I am in physicality the more success I am having in ABing thus far. Tonight might be a small problem as I haven't figured out any activities to do to keep myself distracted especially since I've accomplished all the work of today that I needed to do and even then I've done some of tomorrow's obligations already also.

Im headed to SLC (Salt Lake City) tomorrow, today is Day 5 for me and I'm going strong but starting to lose my momentum. Woke up this morning so horny and almost started to MB but then I forced myself to jump out my window just to keep my momentum going strong. That didn't exactly turn out so well, I lost my balance and fell in my bedroom on my way to the window. I've got to find other things that aren't exactly so potentially harmful to health to distract me from wanting to MB. Today will be my biggest challenge I think, I've got a date with a really nice girl I met and were going to go sailing. Physical activity with a female always seems to turn me on so hopefully this won't be the end of all my hard work at the end of the date.

You will be doing awesome. Try to hold on.

I lost the struggle yesterday so I officially reset and am on day 2. I was supposed to go to Salt Lake City today and I thought perhaps that would be a much needed reprieve and would give me momentum but I am sick with the flu right now and stuck at home. Despite this I am going to challenge myself immensely, I booked a flight to the United Arab Emirates to visit some friends in Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the Burj Al Arab (a truly incredible piece of architecture if you've never seen it go, its well worth it).


I leave in 15 minutes, wish me well and hopefully I won't get too sick from traveling on an airplane with the flu.

Losing the struggle is normal, especially that you are extra vulnerable when you are sick. Don't blame yourself for that. Just stay active attitude and start AB again, I think you will do much better this time.

A trip to UAE, wow. Good luck on the trip.

That's gonna be quite a journey.

Just got back from the UAE and it was just what I needed, being in a different culture and being immersed in a different environment kept my mind totally away from the temptation to MB and instead kept me solidly ABing the entire time. While I was in the UAE I rode with some friends by horseback across the Emirati Desert into Oman where we stopped in the mountains of Oman for a little while before sailing down the coast of Oman past Yemen and the Gulf.

So I had a lot of fun in the UAE and Middle East and definately would do it again, now I'm just focused on maintaining my AB hopefully for weeks instead of days. We will see how it goes, only time can tell!

Keep it going, I think you certainly will do a lot better and make it to numerous weeks.

I want to thank you all so very much for your kind encouragement, it has helped and I am now on Day 8 and progressing quickly towards a solid Day 9 and 10. This evening in the next hour I will be flying to Salt Lake City for a meeting and then I will be traveling from Salt Lake to London where I will be spending sometime visiting friend's there. For me I have found that the more I AB the more focused on ABing I become and the more intense the struggle is yet I find this is still a goal worth attaining and something that I want to focus on so that I can achieve the ultimate goal of a successful WD and reoccuring WDs. With that in mind I have found that travel is the perfect elixir for attaining a successful AB period, my time in the UAE simply kept me so busy that MB never entered into my mind at any point. London will not be my final destination, I plan to spend at least 2 or 3 days in the United Kingdom before flying from there to Egypt where I will join a few friend's for a desert trip through Saudi Arabia and into Jordan, through Iraq and into Kuwait where I'm hoping I can sail like I did a week ago.

Life is fun if it is well lived, breaking up daily monotony is key to both maintaining successful AB and to reducing overall stress. I am fortunate in that my current work has allowed extreme flexibility and opporotunity for travel, I should think that if it did not offer such flexibility maintaining an AB with the busyness of work would make it a near impossibility. Again, I do want to thank you all for your encouragement. I should be back on here and posting again no later than 9/15/2014.

Back and I've made it successfully to Day 20!! I am so excited but haven't had a WD :-( It's getting discouraging a bit and the temptation to MB is increasing every single day. Hope I get a WD soon

Trying to keep my momentum up but its getting harder, it seems like what ive always used to distract me is no longer working. ugh... not sure how long this will last :/

Day 21, focused and back on track. Last night was hard but I found sleeping worked beautifully to distract from any potential trouble. Yet despite sleeping no WD yet, perhaps it will never come for me but if it does I will be glad :-)

Thank you all for your messages and encouragement, it means a lot to have that community in this pursuit and I certainly have appreciated it continually.

Restarting to Day 1, I MB'd and lost yesterday :/ This is more challenging than I ever thought it would be!

I like that you never give up no matter how many times you fail. That is encouraging to me. You did go a long time AB and I congratulate you on your achievement. We are all here for you

So today I went with a bunch of friends, all females, swimming about 300 miles south of here and damn did they look fine in the water, it was so hard not to just MB this evening when I got back but I'm distracting myself little by little with other things to do. Right now I think I may go eat a bite but I'm not sure what I will do this evening to distract myself from the temptation.

Starting I never realized how strong the mental component is to all of this, I just keep telling myself its all in my head and just to forget it but no matter what the temptation to mb comes back each time when I'm weakest. Here's hoping that I can last tonight and meet the challenges of the next few days and last even longer in my ab attempts and finally have a wd

Jacob, you can do it. You have my trust. Just stay strong and keep yourself busy and occupied by other things.
You will be doing good then.

You know I really appreciate the encouragement, and it keeps me going until day 29 when I just get irritated and lose it and have to start over on Day 1 again. The biggest tthing for me is that I get frustrated after that happens and say fuck it (excuse the language) and just ignore even abing for 1-3 days before I decide "what the hell" and start trying to ab again. For me thats the biggest challenge

Still going strong but I've lost count, I'm not sure what day I'm on because ive not been thinking about it a lot just keeping myself busy. So if someone wants to do the work (I'm too lazy right now) and tabulate what day I'm on based on my last post then you'll know how long i've sustained it. All I know is its been a while and I've just not thought much about it at all. The past few days I've been working on my flight training, this weekend I have some cross country activities and then Sunday evening I start my skydiving training, hoping to get jumpmaster certified soon. All this physical activity and work is definately helping me along, I know that whenever I work out and keep myself totally occupied the temptation does not become nearly as strong as it was.

Now this week was definately an interesting experience, I met this girl probably mid twenties at an airport where I flew at a pilot's diner and we had a really good lunch and she mentioned she was looking for a ride to a city about three hundred or so miles out of my way. So I figured 300 miles isn't that big a deal and she looks nice so I might as well give her a ride. So we took off and we had an amazing conversation, when we landed in her city I taxied to the hangar refuel line and let her out and walked her up to the lounge there. Well I go inside the lounge and this big guy is pacing around, probably weighs 200 pounds and almost all muscle he walks up to the girl and grabs her by the arm and tells her he's been waiting for her to come home because they were engaged to be married. Well the girl didnt like him grabbing her so roughly and she said ow your hurting me. The guy said i dont care and he tried to pull her out the door to the parking lot, i grabbed the guy and told him to leave her alone or at least not to be rough with her. so the guy let go of the girl and took a swing at me, i grabbed his arm and flipped him on his back and called the cops. they came and locked him up for domestic violence and the girl started crying and slapped me and ran out into the parking lot and then came back inside and apologized and said she was just on her period and that her emotions were kind of crazy. So i told her it that it was okay and she said thanks and and started kissing me well I told her to stop because she was engaged and she did and she walked out the door and ive not seen her since then.

After that happened it was really hard not ot MB just because of the sheer craziness of it. Have you guys ever had that happen where you get an adrenaline urge to MB just to let out the tensions? It was the wierdest thing but i was able to resist.

Got pushed out of a plane at relatively low altitude, fortunately had a parachute but now I have a broken leg. I MB'd because I was just so damn irritated at having a broken leg I figured it would get my mind off the pain. So now I'm back to day 1.

Oh man!!! So sorry to hear this! I hope the pain subsides and it heals quickly!! Will be praying for you!

Thanks so much, I appreciate it for sure. Its been a difficult day not to MB and I ended up MBing earlier today so WD starts over yet another day. Its mostly because I'm laid up with a bum leg and I can't swim with it yet because it cant get wet and I can't go rock climbing and I can't go skydiving, everything I want to do pretty much is ruled out because my leg is in a cast. So frustrating!!!!
