Hi all,

This is my first attempt at stopping masturbation to have WDs... I have tried to give up in the past but never made it a week, and never had WDs in mind.

It's day 2 and I woke up hard for the first time in ages. I'm quitting porn as well as masturbation and just want to see how much it all builds up! I got incredibly horny a little while ago and it's only day 2.

I'm going to try to keep a running log of my journey. My first goal is to make it one week. Today I have felt depressed (which is out of the ordinary for me), and intensely horny... both seem to be wearing off.

Am also trying to AB from porn and mb. It's good to think we might get free of those habits. The first days are really tuff, you get horny all the time and just want to jerk off. And that will continue... But you'll also experience many nice new sensations while AB. You'll found out.
I'm on my 11th day of AB. Some days are really bad, others not really. A good thing is to keep your mind occupied with some sort of stuff that does not envolve sexual thoughts.

Btw, never had a WD before? When did you ejaculate the first time? Was is by mb?

Hey thanks for the welcome. I'm definitely feeling more horny and ordinarily would pump all my energy out using porn. Recently though I have realised how detrimental this is for energy and life-force (for want of a better word).

I can't remember ever having a wet dream before. I started MBing really young, like before I could ejaculate. After a few years I noticed some clear stuff coming out... went from there. I think this is the reason I've never had one. I have had sex dreams, but never actually remember WDing. Perhaps I have never stopped long enough... I'm keen to find out. New ground for me.

Wow one month? Each time I have stopped I have struggled to make a week... tomorrow will be day 3. Thanks for the insight. I will keep you updated as to my progress.

Hey thanks future I appreciate that. I've tried many times to give up porn and masturbation, but it just seemed impossible after the 3rd day. This time I feel more empowered though and it's largely due to reading posts like yours on this forum.

you'll be able to resist temptation. One good advice is, don't edge as a substitute to mb, it will make it much much harder do give it up.

I've found this to be true. I've been abstaining for 10 days now and have made a conscious effort not to edge, or really to stroke it at all. It hasn't been easy, but it's been easier than time in the past when I've ABd and edged.

One thing I've found helpful is to look at it in a positive way, instead of thinking you are denying yourself things like porn and MB. It's been amazing to just let my body get back in control of things, almost like healing. See it in that way, and it becomes a welcome relief from the past!

Day 3

Today is day three. I didn't notice any morning wood when I woke up, but I did sleep in quite a bit, my nose is blocked, but I feel quite good. I don't feel particularly horny. Usually I would start by looking at internet porn as soon as I started feeling horny, but it's out of my mind right now.

I do feel different in other ways though. I remembered my dreams last night. Not sexual but I have a recollection. This is a familiar pattern for me - I never remember dreams while I'm MBing everyday, and after a few days of abstaining, I start to remember them again. I think this is a good sign and probably has to do with my brain chemistry changing.

Just yesterday I went out and bumped into a girl I kinda like. I felt a bit shy and self conscious so I'm going to keep a track f those thoughts and see if ABing has any impact.

Day 4

Today I think I had dreams about being hard in the morning, although I don't remember waking up erect.

I don't feel all that horny. It's weird. My balls do feel heavier now, and I am stronger. I was able to do easily 25% more pull ups yesterday when working out that I could have done otherwise.

I think I just need to not think about sex and wait for it to come to me, even if that takes weeks. Last night I really wanted to cum, but never got hard. My normal routine would be to watch porn and MB from soft. I think I need to wait until I get hard on my own, but it's just a feeling. Would love to hear thoughts on the matter.

Are you still looking at porn regularly? Seems like that might be something to consider giving up as well if you're going for all the benefits of AB. Awesome to hear though that you're already seeing increased physical stamina, etc. Maybe if you're able to give up porn you'll start seeing yourself become more easily aroused, and have erections more frequently. It seems counter intuitive, but in my experience, and seems like that of many people on here as well, the less you intentionally stimulate yourself sexually (i.e. porn, MB) the more easily you're able to fully experience natural stimulation and arousal.

Yes I agree with those comments, and I have quit porn for the last 4 days. Haven't edged, looked at porn or even imagined it!

Based on how much I used to use porn though, I think it will take me a lot more than 4 days to get my (normal) libido back...

An interesting thing happened today:

An attractive lady down the street recently divorced her husband. I got talking to her and we ended up going into her home and had sex 3 times. It was really good to know that things still work down there as I had been a bit worried I'd lost my libido.

That was after 4 days of ABing, but things didn't work exactly the way I'd have liked (took me ages to get hard, and only through manual stimulation) I think that's a hangover from being used to watching porn and using my hands to masturbate from soft (as opposed to being mentally turned and getting a hard on without touching). This is the feeling I get, but its hard to prove that's the reason.

Anyway, so although I came 3 times today, it wasn't due to myself masturbating. I still see myself as abstaining... although I suppose if I don't reset my day count then it's somewhat cheating.

Excessive MB and porn does effect your sexual function and programs you to respond in a certain way. During my first AB, I went through some strange phases, including no erection in a real sex situation, despite being full to bursting and intensely turned on, so your story makes sense to me.

During my second AB session, I couldn't keep it down under any circumstances. I can only guess you body is in a state of flux and reworking how it responds and to what stimulation.

Anyway, you busted your nut 3 times with the nice lady next door, so not being one to over think things, I would say great stuff and move on

I think if you empty yourself, you have to reset the counter. I reset my counter whenever I shoot however it happened and must admit to resetting a little more often than I should be

Can you describe more about your first AB? Timeframes and such?

I feel like I'm at that stage (or was) with my AB. I'd be very horny, but soft... or else I'd have no libido at all at times that in the past I would have been horny as hell.

What was yours like? I'd really appreciate another persons experience.

So I cracked after about 4 days... It's amazing how difficult it got... or how difficult it seemed. Like my mind completely turned from being determined to being weak.

Day 2 now... just gotta make it a week and get past those breakers!
