so I havent actually masturbated since last tuesday but I have gotten quite hard while sleeping and with my girlfriend (no sex)

Hey man, it sounds like you had a spontaneous ejaculation (SE)! Unless you thought yourself to hands-free orgasm this is what I would guess happened to you. I've always wondered what one was like, as I've never had one. Was it enjoyable like with an orgasm or just purely an ejaculation?

Anyway, I wouldn't reset your counter because it doesn't sound like you could have done anything to prevent it. I'd just try to enjoy that unique experience if I were you. Good luck with your ab man!

I've had this quite often over the past few weeks (last night as well)... It bugs me because it happens so consciously that I would almost call it MB. It's up to you to decide whether you want to start over, of course, but I'm curious to hear the thoughts of other people about this. I keep asking myself: "Couldn't I really do something to stop it?". In your case, you might have taken off your briefs to prevent your penis from rubbing against them. Who knows if the outcome would've been different? But yeah, it feels different than MB.

If I "did something to myself to make myself ejaculate" I would reset my counter, but if I "could have stopped it but didn't, but still didn't do anything to start it" like you did, I wouldn't reset my counter. My philosophy on it is, if I didn't cause the ejaculation by anything I did, it's a SE, and its fine with me. I'm not going to interfere with my body's natural process, either by starting to MB, or stopping a SE if it happens.

Of course, I've never had an SE, and I haven't had a WD since I was a teen, so I haven't tested this philosophy yet, but I figure I'll know that I've AB'ed long enough if I get an SE or WD.
