Not gonna lie. Today is day two… which sucks. I actually found myself avoiding posting yesterday because I didn't want to have to deal with it. There have been a lot of thoughts going with it because its not that I just masturbated, its also that I watched porn, but its not even that I just watched porn, I watched guys. I hate it. I hate porn for anybody. I don't care who you are or what you believe, I think porn is filth yet I find myself falling into it. Interestingly enough tho I found ZERO satisfaction while watching it which I'm glad for because usually I can shut myself out enough to not deal with me being me while watching it. This time was different. I was fully aware and consciously choosing to watch it and continue watching while thinking to myself what an idiot I'm being.

Afterwards I tried to go on reading my book as if nothing happened but I couldn't ignore what happened. I knew that I needed to take it to God and just tell Him. Not out of religious duty or anything. The same as how I tell my best friend when I do these things. Its because there is mutual love and care. God helps me through it and out of my guilt and self defeating thoughts.

So. Today, (well the end of) is Day 2.

Something I need to remember is to NEVER try to edge. That is what I started out doing, and always start out doing. I need to STOP! I never stop soon enough. I know when to stop. I've masturbated enough to know where I am at in everything.

Random Tid bit about my earlier journey with masturbation and abstaining. I successfully stopped for what seemed about a month and a half once when I was 15, but then I had a wet dream. Rather than be okay with that, I freaked out. I didn't know exactly what happened and I didn't like it. I woke up in the middle of the night shooting a mega huge load. It was unexpected and inexperienced before this moment. I became very self conscious and fearful of what my parents would think so I resumed masturbation again to prevent myself from having wet dreams. I had that mind set until I was 20. Even when I tried to abstain at 19 I feared wet dreams and was shameful of them. Until that is I talked to a real good friend about all of this, and I had a shift in perspective. for what ever reason after hearing his success in abstaining and being proud of wet dreams regardless the embarrassing circumstances, I wanted to be proud of having a wet dream because it was a sign of freedom from the addiction of jacking off.

I have been reading and actively posting on this forum for only a few weeks now, but I am noticing that many guys here have a lot of guilt and regret about MB, Porn and concerns about other sexual issues.

I hope not to become a bore to anyone, but you should not torture yourself or feel bad about yourself or guilty for urges and desires you cannot control. You are a young man programmed to ejacualte as much as possible. It's the way of things. I understand you don't want to be ruled by it and that AB is also a route to WD and that's a fine and admirable mission, but it makes me sad to hear you and some of your fellow 20 something's agonising over your playful habits.

As for the guy porn, well there are many shades of grey between straight and gay and most people are neither 100% one or the other. I am willing to bet that even the straightest guy would get some kind of enjoyment from watching another fit guy MB for example. It's something empathic between one guy and another, doesn't mean you want to have sex with him and even if you do, so what, live and let live.

It's always hard when the counting AB days clock stops and goes to zero again after we mb. I truly comprehend you. Even i'm new to the forum, i also feel the same way when i fail do AB and masturbate. I also have a struggle with porn, and have seen some guys too, and i'm straight like you. You must feel the same... while mb and watching porn is everything ok, but when you finished it's a terrible thing since you are aware of what you've done and you're not happy with that, and since, we and me are both mens that believe that God sees us, we feel bad for what we just did.

True, today or tomorrow i might jack off... i know that's a possibility and i also know that after that i'm gonna beat me up. But the important is, you might fall, but you should never give up. God loves you and he will help you if we want to do his will. Trust in God, trust in you, trust in us. I'm trying that. The urges are big, but God is greater. Boxer I don't think you overstep or anything. I always enjoy reading your posts! Both of y'all are real encouraging. It's super weird and normalizing to hear other guys express thinking about guys in a fashion like that. I was raised in the Bible Belt so there is severe homophobia and expressing things like that immediately classifies you as gay. I had quite a bit of confusion about my sexuality until about a year and a half ago. It really blows my mind to hear other guys say what y'all did.

Y'all are right about guilt. It's dumb and isn't productive. Guilt is a self defeating emotion. Y'all have a lot of truth.

Steath, one of the great things about this forum is that it provides you a place to check your ideas. Nearly always you'll find there is someone who has been there before and can offer advice. You're on the right track, so hang in there!

Your part of the world is quite traditional, but human nature is universal. The traditionalism and religious focus are frankly just a facade people like to place over their lives. It saves face. What people really get up to behind closed doors and the emotions they have sexually are no different to the rest of the world, but maybe they are just repressed somewhat.

I would consider myself straight and have never had any sex with a man. Sometimes however I find other men arousing. It's hard to explain, I don't want to have sex with them, but I find their masculinity a turn on. As said, it's kind of an admiration of another guy and an empathy with him.

You usually find the most homophobic guys are the ones who are struggling to come to terms with their own feelings. Be yourself, don't apologise for who you are. My own religion, in so far as the code I live by is, be kind and helpful to people, treat people as you would wish to be treated, respect their views and how they are, but defend you own views from attack and be true to yourself.

You are who you are. How you live and treat others is how you should be judged, not by your sexual orientation.

All of us should listen the words of boxer... i'm already loosing count the times i say he's a wise men. We are human and humans, first, are attracted to others humans depute their sex, and feel aroused by some activity they do. It's human nature, and that, does not determines if you are gay or straight.
One thing is to feel aroused when you see a couple (in reality or in porn) making out. You can feel aroused by a straight couple or a gay couple, and there's NOTHING WRONG with that. It's just the way your brain interprets it, and how the dopamine and seratonine levels lead to a response, sometimes, feeling horny or even exited.
I also grew up with a very strict moral compass, and as i said previously, i still am very religious and follow the doctrine. That does not mean that i don't think by myself, which i believe, god also wants.
Don't feel ashamed of that. I know, easier said than done. But that's something to have in mind. Beating yourself up will not change what had happened. Thinking on what you did and figuring out how to avoid doing it again (if wrong) it's was beneficial.

You're right Boxer. I'm pretty over the whole drama with homosexuality. I know what I believe and how the bible regards it, but it certainly doesn't make a person lesser or more sinful. I was reading Ephesians today and Paul taught how Christ was for the gentiles as well as the jew. I immediately thought how the gentiles would never be considered saved, but it doesn't matter. Sexuality doesn't matter. I love my home and hometown, but there is a lot for the people here to learn. I do not intend this to be political or anything of the such. I am agreeing with you. We all have our natural urges and there should be no shame or guilt in them. Its just how it is sometimes. I've wondered in the past how many of my friends covered things up due to fear of judgment by the self righteous Pharisees of the area. I do wish more things were open to speak about.

It's hard when you are made to feel that you cannot be yourself. People, particularly in groups can be very cruel and unkind. They too fear that if they accept you, they will be rejected from the group as well.

Your part of the world and your town is a very nice part of the world, with warm and friendly well meaning people. It might not be the most progressive or accepting of alternative life styles, but many parts of the world are the same.

It's really hard when you are young and starting out in life to find the balance between being accepted and being the individual you want to be, but I can assure you, it gets a little easier over time. As you mature a little and you meet more people, some who come and some who go, you realise more and more that most people are struggling with something. Each individual's struggle is different, but once you recognise this, you can make peace with yourself and just be yourself. That's how it worked for me.
Trying to be perfect or pretending to be is an enormous burden and consumes a lot of energy. When you can drop this facade, the energy is directed into happiness.

Until you are able to reach this point in the real world, I hope you gain from being able to be yourself on this forum, knowing we will not judge, we accept you and will support you all we can.

Day 3

Merry Christmas!

Today is a milestone day for me to make it through. It's been pretty good. Last night was pretty weird. It took me forever to fall asleep. My heart was pounding super hard while boners came and went.

I'm seeing that you're doing great. And some stimulation is not that bad, if you can control it. Somo advocate that to successfully quit mb you need to have a strict "no touch policy". So, a believe there must be a compromise between your hands, brain and penis. In those, the mind is the most important, that will hep control everything.

Day 4



Made it to today! Ha I think many of my posts will be like this. Three more days to make first goal of seven days then an extension to 14!

Woke up early at 6 am for about thirty mins. Had a hard boner and started playing with it in my sleepy haze. Once I realized what I was doing, I turned some music on to change my focus. When it went down, I used the toilet the got back in bed. I cycled through a few more boners before falling back asleep.

Just finished a 2 mile run. It was the first run in a couple weeks so it was difficult but great!

And your right about needing a no hands rule. I have poor control as is and I really shouldn't you with myself like that.

DAY 5

Weird, I posted but It never showed up. So if it does in a little bit I guess there will be a double post.

Still going strong! I woke up again at 6 for about 40 mins. I finally fell back asleep, but woke up every 30 mins with a boner. I don't have a usual way I sleep. Lately it has been nude. Today I checked my sheets since I had so many boners, and there was a damp streak. I will probably switch to boxers or compression shorts while I'm hime. Plus they will show more if anything happens. I started waking myself up humping in my sleep. I did that last spring while abing, but I was rooming with my best bud and he did too so It wasn't weird or awkward. If I ever have to explain to my new roommates, I'm sure they will be fine. Its something that just happens.

Yes to me to feels like no edging is the best way to go.

depending on your purpose for AB too, edging can just be a substitute of sorts for MB and detract from your overall goals. Even though the urge is strong, seems like it's best to stay away from edging.

Day 3

Welp I was edging again on the 27th knowing better not, but went too far. Today is the 3rd. Been fine. Had a fun weekend with friends I haven't seen so had not chances of thoughts straying. I am changing to a stricter habit of no sleeping nude and no edging. Sleepydreamer, You are 100% right about edging just being a substitute. I know it is, but I like to overlook that. I'm starting refreshed and anewed. Usually after jacking off once I will a couple more times before abing again. I am not doing that this time. I only got off once, and got back on the horse. I'm gaining a new perspective abing.

Things I have been thinking about:
