Jamie wrote:Okay, well a COUPLE nights ago I was surprised to have a pair of intense nightmares. I have not had these in many years so it was quite a shock to get these. There was something creepily palpable to them, this sort of doomish atmosphere and dread that felt very visceral and when I woke up I continued to have this dull strange feeling like my brain was in some bizarre frequency zone. But when I woke up it was like I pressed pause because as soon as I fell asleep again the dream continued, and just as bad. It was unpleasant and scary but so was my over-analyzed reaction when I woke up wondering WHY it happened, like if something was wrong.
I was even more surprised that after I fell asleep the second time not an hour later I woke up from a wet dream, of all things. Oddly for how intense the nightmares were the wet dream was not much to describe except there seemed to be just a trace of the same visceral sensation like I was in a weird trance that was in my nightmares.
The only connection seems to be that I really worked hard over the weekend, physically demanding stuff and when I went to bed my muscles were sore and I was completely exhausted and fell right asleep. I did not know that this condition could trigger such dreams unless it just meant I was sleeping more deeply? Oh, and I took some Tylenol before bed for my muscle soreness. Could that have anything to do with either nightmares or a wet dream?
