Hi everyone 28 year old male with no prior history of wet dreams here. I've only ever had one dream in my life that I remember actually involving sexual organs. Generally my dreams involve meeting a female that I have a deep connection with and of course since it's a dream it's perfect. After those dreams I generally wake up with a massive drive for female companionship (not sex).

Anyhow currently I'm not having sex or masturbating, and I have been that way since one week after Lent Wednesday. Which was actually kind of a mistake, because I really tried to quit masturbating twice prior to that but failed within 24 hours. So now I'm at over 7 days and it's been pretty hard. I'm not doing this for religious reasons (I'm agnostic), I'm basically testing my will power. During the first three days of restraining ejaculation I did edge a bit, then on the third day I damn near pushed it too far. So I'm done doing that.

I don't have a goal set for how long exactly I will make it. To be honest I think I started masturbating when I was 13 years old, and masturbated ~once a day since then. Sometimes more sometimes less just an average of about once a day. So this is officially the longest I've gone since then, and I'm feeling it.

I'd like to have the experience of having a wet dream in which I can feel the orgasm and remember it, but if I find a female then I'm not going to continue the experiment (includes one night stands).

So ya basically I'm incredibly horny all the time, I can feel a tingle in my perineal area which is very similar to what I would feel indicating that I am going to orgasm soon (during sex or masturbation). I don't notice semen coming out during urination or anything like that. I've been having some problems ignoring the hominess in order to get to bed, but my will power would rather have me stay up all night than give in.

I think I'll set my limit at a year before I intentionally end the experiment).

Also I would like to add that I have had some strange orgasms before.

When I was ~7 years of age I was inspecting my penis and decided to try to engulf the glans with the foreskin (I'm circumcised). Dream: I had a dream that I was in a College classroom full of chicks, and I went up and hit on a few but it never escalated. This is still more sexually charged than most of my dreams however. This is getting interesting.

State of Mind: My basic principle is that I simply won't touch myself for anything but urination or cleaning purposes, and those are to be as minimal as possible. So when I start feeling horny I simply remind myself that I don't touch, but then I start feeling stressed and anxious. I think I'm sexually frustrated, hopefully this will go away as it is quite annoying.

Day 9, I'm feeling way better just woke up without having a wet dream but whatever I'm gonna keep going.

Dream Content: Can't remember

Mental State: I feel normal, I'm no longer ultra horny or anything like that. Don't get me wrong though I still want to masturbate or have sex pretty bad.

I know that I am full of semen at this point, and that my seminal vesicle & epididymis are just begging for relief. Day 10, Still no wet dream but I'm feeling great.

Mental State: I feel normal, but it seems like when I wake up in the morning I'm always the horniest. Still fighting it off.

Dream Content: It was just a strange non-sexual dream. I went and bought 2 digital cameras didn't like them much so I returned them. Seriously lame dream hahahahhha.

Day 11, No wet dream last night

Mental State: I feel pretty good not very horny at all... and 30 minutes later I'm horny as hell. I should be used to this by now.

Dream Content: I had a strangely sexual dream. There were even a few times when I felt pleasure swelling but I either woke up or it went away on it's own. I don't really remember what the sexual portions were, but they were strange like it didn't really involve nudity or anything.

Dream Content: I remember in one portion of the dream I was washing a dog that had orange ooze on it, and then the dog started licking my hair, but was actually eating it. Not exactly sure why that almost put me there but whatever.

Dream Content: In the other dream I was around a bunch of chicks, but we were trying to figure out who murdered someone. I eventually figured it out somehow, I can't exactly remember how but when I did the same orgasmic crescendo once again started and I woke up but there wasn't a trace of the feeling to be found.

So I'm not sure if the dream just ended there and I woke up a bit after, or if I woke up at the moment that the dream ended. Still it was interesting to experience that same feeling twice in one night even if it didn't lead to ejaculation or an orgasm.

Mental Status: I've found that I'm simply horny on and off during the day. My libido is also unpredictable. Like on day 5-8 I would have had sex with anything. Now I feel like that sometimes during the day but not always,

Lucky Day 13, No wet dream last night

Mental State: I'm feeling clear and good, I'm really surprised that I have gone almost 2 weeks without ejaculation.

Dream Content: Rated PG dreams. I dreamed I was a king, and then I had a few others. I was kind of restless last night and woke up around 3 times. Not the best nights sleep I've ever had.

Day 14, No wet dream yet

Mental State: I'm pretty much in control and my mind feels clear. Still the hardest part of the day is taking a shower for me because I have to be naked and I have to clean my penis. I've just been very matter of fact about it, but even with that I get excited. I'm thinking about going to public showers to eliminate the possibility of anything happening. I also seem to be craving ejaculation more than orgasm at this point. For some reason I am craving the look, feel, and smell of my semen. What I sleep wearing: Generally I sleep wearing just boxers, sometimes I wear just soft fluffy pajama pants without boxers, but that's somewhat rare. Before starting this experiment I could never sleep naked because I would just masturbate and then I would have to clean myself up, and I would still be leaking semen for probably a half hour or so after so I would throw on something. Since I started this experiment I've slept naked at least 6 of the nights. It feels incredible to sleep naked, and I don't really care if it isn't optimum for inducing wet dreams. Day 15, No wet dream yet

Mental Status: No change from previous few days... I just really miss the "me" time when I would just sit back and masturbate. It's like I'm nostalgic for the old times. Once I'm done with this I'm gonna have to remember to never take masturbation for granted again.

Dream Content: I had a dream that my friends and family were all getting drunk together. Then we went outside and some people were on bikes but I was running, and that's when I noticed I was floating instead of running. I instantly knew that this was a dream, and so I began to lucid dream. The first thing I did was go up to one of my friends on the bike and just stared into their eyes to see what it looked like. It was incredibly terrifying because I knew there was nothing behind those eyes and my mind was just making them up. Day 17, No wet dream

Mental status: Feeling good, pretty much my standard level of horniness has returned so I still feel like masturbating everyday but it's not as bad as before.

Dream Content: I had a dream that I stole a chair from a bar and ran off with it, only to bring it back and buy pizzas with friends. The we chilled out and played video-games, and we were late for College classes. Not exactly the most incredible dream ever, but it was fun.

Ya I've come to far to give up now, I'm not going to give up unless something goes horribly wrong. Today has been a more difficult day for some reason, perhaps because of my experiments with trying to use catalysts to trigger a wet dream last night.

Well that and the fact that I'm running on a hair trigger at this point. I'm really surprised that something that used to take me 10-20+ minutes to achieve feels like it's going to happen by me just thinking about it. Day 19, No Wet Dream yet

Mental State: Feeling pretty good, I'm still holding strong in preventing myself from doing anything I know I will regret.

NOTE: I quit smoking last night at 2AM, I've been smoking for probably about 5 years so I decided enough is enough. Quitting that habit along side this experiment. So far so good.

Dream Content: I can't remember much about my dream again, mostly because I woke up and then fell back asleep so the memories of the dream faded. However, I do remember one part in the dream where I got up to take a pee and while I was peeing semen came out. I remember being kinda pissed like "Ohh what the hell!!!", because I want a wet dream not a passive release during urination. Anyhow it was just a dream so it doesn't matter anyhow.... Lol, well i was cleaning up all my empty packs and I found one that was full, so I kinda failed already. Once this pack is gone though I'm really done hahahahaha. Never really got a good chance to say goodbye to smoking anyhow. So ya in about 2 days I'll really be done with a full on commitment... fucking nicotine, lol. I view this as a slight failure as I should have just thrown out the pack, but I'm just gonna finish it and leave one in the pack as a reminder of me quitting. Jeez I gotta get stronger.

Day 20, No wet dream

Mental Status: I'm feeling clear, confident, and normal. It's almost as if I've completely returned to baseline. I feel like I could go on doing this indefinitely without much trouble. Still I also recognize that mind sets can change quite rapidly, so I'm not letting my guard down.

Dream Content: I swear man Disney could license my dreams and sell them because last night they were completely rated G.

First dream: A group of people were paired into groups of 2, and then we searched this house for things on a scavenger hunt list. As it would turn out you have to crawl under the house and go into the walls and things to find them, but once you found them they were of great emotional meaning.

Second dream: At first I was just with a girl and we were drinking in an extremely fancy hotel. Then we left and were talking and then we started getting chased by ghosts so we went into one of the rooms and shut the door behind us. Then suddenly I was in a group of 8 and a completely different person who was looking for the other 2. Eventually we ran into the ghosts and it was like a comedy fest. Not scary at all.

Lamest dreams ever. Still tonight at 8pm I officially hit day 21, so maybe tonight will hold my first and only wet dream of all time.... /crosses fingers.

My only concern is that I'm too old or I am just one of those guys who never gets a wet dream. I mean don't get me wrong this experience in and of itself has been pretty amazing, but I'd like to experience a wet dream as that was the motivating factor that started this venture in motion.

March 14th, 2013 at 3:23 AM I had my last smoke. No more slip ups, it's on.

Also I haven't been having any urge to masturbate. If the urge does arise it's easy to dismiss, I feel like I've succeeded in kicking a habit I never really wanted to kick permanently in the first place. It's interesting, I'm starting to think if I start getting wet dreams then I might not masturbate anymore. It's a difficult concept to grasp, and I know I set my one year limit. A very selfish time, but I don't care about that at all as it was usually less than half an hour. I might have to find a way to give myself that time back in a way. Day 21 (3 weeks hurray!!!), No wet dreams yet

Mental Status: Completely back to what I think was baseline. I feel perfectly normal. I used to leak precum on days 2-15, but no longer (or at least with extremely reduced frequency).

Dream Content: I had a dream that I was living in an apartment with some friends and their mom. I would leave the apartment to go and smoke, and pick up high school chicks, or buy hotdogs at the gas station. BEST DREAM EVER lol, wtf is up with my subconscious.

Also I'm at roughly 12 hours without smoking, so not even 24 hours in... It's strange that I'm already dreaming about it, because generally I don't smoke in my dreams. Aww well screw it, never again.

Day 22. No wet dream

Mental State: Really really irritable thanks to some guy playing a horribly repetitive simple beat on a drum set. I'm seriously annoyed to the point of breaking my hand against the wall. Only got 3 hours of sleep thanks to Mr. "I can play the same damn beat on the drums". Anyways it doesn't help that I quit smoking, and then this guy decides to be the most annoying person alive. I'm going to office space his drum set I swear I am.

Dream Content: None I slept less than 3 total hours, probably not getting back to sleep either.


Ugh worst night ever. Not because of the abstinence though. Pretty much from quitting smoking & some punk thinking he knows how to play drums and he has to prove it in the middle of the damn night. It's interesting the way my mind works, even though I would never do anything harmful to this guy (except call the cops on him) I was laying in my bed thinking of many horrible things to do to him. At least some of the stuff made me smile, like kicking his door open and splashing lava on him.

Ok I'm done with this post before I get myself in trouble. I'm hanging in there, but quitting smoking is really sucky. Luckily I choose to do it at a time where abstinence wasn't being particularly difficult to achieve.

EDIT: Lol wow I was mad when I made this post.... I'm better now although I'm really kind of tired. Tonight I'm going to sleep really well. Gotta sleep enough for 2 nights, hahahaha. Maybe that will give me a better chance or something. Gotta look on the bright side.

Day 23, No wet dream

Mental Status: I was a lot hornier yesterday than I have been in a while. It made it difficult not to masturbate, but I didn't.

Dream Content: I dreamed that I asked this girl out to a dance, and we had a really great time. Then she offered sex and I accepted but as usual the dream ended right about there. It's really frustrating when that happens.

I'm not sure if I should count 30 or 31 days as a month, but either way I'm 7 or 8 days away from pulling off a month. Hurray!!!

EDIT: Lol ok so tonight I'm trying something a little different. I ate a couple of spoonfulls of cocoa and it was horrible, but if it's an aphrodisiac then perhaps it can trigger something hahahahaha. We will see, lol.

Day 24, No wet dream

Mental Status - I've been having a rebound of horniness since I quit smoking, I think it's from the anxiety of wanting to smoke being interpreted incorrectly and my body wanting to relieve stress through any means possible. I'm still holding strong.

Dream Content - Unfortunately I can't remember.


I'm not sure how I feel about 24 days without ejaculating. In a way it feels pretty amazing because of the willpower, but in another way I feel like I might be damaging my prostate or seminal vesicles. Also my epididymus feels absolutely full and contracted to maximum size (on palpation). This experience has been pretty darn cool so far, I can't wait to see what lies ahead.
