I quit porn long before I tried ABing, I haven't really used porn since November. To deal with that, I taught myself to focus the experience of MB, to focus on only fantasies inside my head. Before this more serious round of AB, I gave myself the outlet of trying to focus on only the feelings, both the arousal/horniness and the physical sensations, because I figured that not touching myself would break the habit almost as much as not doing it at all (and it's the way I hope to do it in the future). This gets pretty close to edging, because even though I can't hit the point of no return like that (or, at the current stage of AB, the flatlining stage, not even get hard doing that), and I'm tempted to finish using creative methods that aren't my hands (such as showerheads).

And, I read forum posts by people here, who either do hands-free, or have random SE's out of the blue, both of which are described as better than MB my most people. I'd be glad to do either of those, but I am absolutely going to AB long enough to 'reboot' myself, if I want to do any of these...


As I post this, I spent all day either walking in the sun, or in the gym, and I am so infused with t-buzz-like energy that I'm losing my mind sitting down long enough to rest...

I don't seem to be as interested in reading this forum when I'm bored, which is probably good, because it means I can think about things other than that I am ABing.

Two days ago, I passed my own record, and this is now my longest AB ever. I might be aiming for a 90-day reboot though, so lots more to go.

Good luck! It only goes to show that one way to make ABing easier is to get your mind off of it! Good luck... I wish you more WD soon!

30 days!

I'm not sure what the next milestone to count to will be, but I'm going to aim for a 90-day total reboot to wash away the last few remnants of porn addiction, and to see what happens. I kind of doubt I can go that long, but who knows? If I get a WD, awesome! If I give in and do a hands-free and succeed, then still awesome! If I don't succeed and MB, then it ought to feel pretty good after so long. My life is both stressful enough and boring enough that my AB has to fight with everything else for my attention...

Edit: And, after reading a few other posts, I've also realized that if my goal is a reboot, then after the reboot is done I should probably MB somewhat regularly, like maybe weekly, to get back into the swing of things. And, also because experience here seems to suggest that MBing after a long AB still lets you have WDs...

I'm also realizing I've typed the abbreviations MB and AB 20 times in only a few posts...

This morning, I realized that it's been so long since I MB'ed, that it now feels like a distant memory, and I felt nostalgia and 'missed' it. I look forward to being able to do so again, occasionally, after I 'reboot'. I would still very much enjoy a WD, and if I get them, I may not want to MB much at all.

My counter for not using porn to MB is now at 189 days, and I've only given into the urge to even look at it a few times since then, the last being before my current AB period. This, I think, is more important than the AB itself, both to my own general health as a person, and my ability to WD or MB.

Congrats at 189 days! It is tough to stay away from porn...

Since you are around my age, and almost have the same number of previous WD, I will use you as my barometer. Once you have had your WD, that means I would have to roughly wait the same number of AB days, before I finally have mine.

I may not make the best barometer, because random stuff like this happens:

Day 34: I had another dry "WD", this one was a lot like the typical WD, where the dream is a bit vague and not sexual (I think I was rescuing kittens from an abandoned house) and then suddenly unrelated to the dream, I wake up to my penis pulsing as if it was trying to ejaculate. Nothing came out, there was no orgasm sensation, and I had to get up and pee immediately. I don't think I was properly awake, or even properly asleep before that, everything from now to about 6 pm last night is very fuzzy in my memory, but I remember enjoying the fact that I'd almost had a WD.

I'm not sure if I did anything differently that day, I had spent all day at home to give my muscles a chance to recover from all the exercise I've been trying. I did wear boxers to bed, which is unusual to me; I have before, but I'm usually MUCH more comfortable sleeping nude, given that my room is usually cold, so any blanket I use to keep me warm makes boxers a bit too warm. I might try wearing them daily for a while, and see if that helps. Since I didn't release anything, I still feel like I really need to after so many days.

i heard the term dry orgasm quite a lot, but honestly, i don't really know what it means nor have I experience anything of that kind. Anyway, I have this feeling that a wet orgasm in a form of WD is about to happen to you especially so that it is now about 35 to 40 days of your AB

I'm not sure I'd call that a dry orgasm, it didn't feel like an orgasm and it didn't let anything out. It was more like waking up and feeling my penis trying to imitate an orgasm.

And, since I woke up having to pee and that is probably why it didn't release anything, I have to wonder. The city I live in is very dry, so dry that I have to drink a lot of water, all the time. Before bed, one glass won't last me all night, I need to drink more or I'll be woken up by how dry my throat is, and therefore if I wake up at all I tend to have to pee...

Day 38-ish? I don't want to count as closely, but I still want to know how long it's been.

This morning I woke up sensitive enough that I could have had a very pleasurable MB pretty much just from thinking and touching parts of my body other than my genitals. I didn't, though, because I don't think I've reset yet and so I didn't finish, or get close enough to call it 'edging'. My goal is to have a balanced life with WD's, SE's, hands-frees, even normal MB, eventually sexual experiences with others, whenever it feels best, not all the time, not compulsively, just whenever is best. I enjoy the good feelings, the energy and awareness I sometimes get from ABing, but I don't enjoy the incredible pressure I also get sometimes from ABing.

This is a bit tricky, since my life throws a LOT of things my way, and I'm usually dealing with a lot of things at once, even just in my head. And it gets pretty tough to deal with a lot of pressures at once, and I've considered MBing just to lessen the pressure from that direction for a bit. I would just rather enjoy it, so I haven't given into pressure yet.

At some point I'm going to have to consciously learn to choose what is the best for me, and I'm still not sure how to know that. When is it best for me to MB, to AB? Reading other people's logs suggests that I'll figure it out. Until then, hopefully I sleep a bit better and dream a bit more, and have a WD!

Today is day 42. I am simply amazed that I haven't ejaculated in 42 days, especially since I spent many of them bored and alone.

I don't know how long I'll go, but at this point however it ends, it'll end naturally, and when it's supposed to.

Day 50.

I'm still amazed it's been so long, but I'm not paying all that much attention to ABing anymore, or how far along it is. I'm very easily distracted by my real life, which at the moment is short periods of boredom and long periods of doing or trying to do complicated things. I'll be getting a new job and a new home. I'll hopefully be getting more sleep, it's been random recently and I've had less dreams than I might have otherwise...

I never ever forget that I am ABing though, even if I'm not thinking about it there's always a kind of itch in the back of my head, and a lot of sensitivity down below. It's been so long that MBing feels like a distant memory, but if I gave in, it wouldn't be comfortable nostalgia, it would probably just give me a hangover effect at this point. That wouldn't be worth it. I'll wait until I'm sure it's worth it.

A lot of people on here have had to wait 60 or more days for a WD, so I'm not giving up yet.

Today I almost managed to hands-free, just from lying down in bed for 5 min after a shower and focusing on the waves of horniness. I think I'll allow myself to do that more often, because it feels like my body's forgotten how to cum after 55-whatever days, both awake and in dreams. Whether I'm awake or asleep when I go off, I want to enjoy it, and I don't want to be touching myself when it happens.

I may be closer than I think. I've had some impressive morning wood this last week. I've also been distracted by real life local events, and mostly stuck at home, so I've had few sexual thoughts and haven't seen any attractive girls, and so my dreams have been flat and empty, along with my daydreams. I might have to remind myself to be horny.

Well, made it to Day 60. I'm not sure I even have anything to report. I get morning wood easily, my entire body is more sensitive than usual, I wake up with just a bit pf precum every morning.... I don't seem to be having trouble not MBing, the intense craving is gone, but the desire to feel myself release is like a neverending itch in the back of my head. My sleep has been very random, I either have a lot of very creative dreams, or disjointed images of what I did all day. Nothing wet, nothing sexual for weeks now.

The boredom of all this may get me more than the intense cravings for MB used to. I feel kind of like I've forgotten how sexual release works. I still hope to end this by either a wet dream, SE, or hands-free, but I'm not sure how long to go on for.

All in all, apart from the fact I miss release, ABing is just a bit better than frequent MB.

I haven't been sleeping well for days now, so no dreams to report. It's probably because it's so hot inside here in the summer, and it's definitely too hot to try and wear boxers overnight. I seem to remember a lot of hard-ons and twitches down there throughout my tossing and turning, so I'll take that as a hopeful sign.

Day 70, I think.

I woke up from a few seconds of really nice dream, and spent a while lying in bed playing it over in my head, and focusing on the hornyness I felt. I may have a touched a few times, because I ended up feeling like I would ejaculate if I touched just a little. It's apparently really easy for me to edge right now. I don't get why some of you like edging, because it drives me nuts to be so close and not want to finish because I know it won't feel as good as it seems. I was close enough that I ran to the computer and let the internet destroy any feeling and thought I had. I didn't even get as far as posting here until now, I distracted myself so successfully.

I've been waiting for a while. I love how AB makes me feel, but I get so bored with never ejaculating or having a WD. I still have no idea how this streak of AB is going to end. I'm tempted to end it on purpose on day 90, but I'm not sure how to make the most of it...

I've still been having only non-sexual, non-arousing dreams. Which is weird and annoying, since I wake up and am immediately so horny that I pretty much have to lie in bed letting the feelings roll over me in waves and using my willpower to not touch. I'll be going on a trip out of town in a few days, it'll last a week and a half and I'll be sharing a room with others for half of it. I have no idea how my current super-sensitive state will fit into that.

I wanted to go 90 days, but day 90 is right after I get back, and the temptation to do something to trigger what is going to be an awesome orgasm is strong. I'm not sure what to choose to do.

Some people here report that they MB, and then this triggers WD's in the next week. So, if I give in, I could actually make myself have a WD while sharing my hotel room with others. ~.~

Well, I got back from vacation, no WD's, and today was day 90. I hit my goal!

I'd decided a few weeks ago that I would break AB the first time I really felt like it after day 90, and that was this morning. I did a prostate massage/orgasm, I enjoyed it a lot. It doesn't really feel like I had 90 days worth of buildup, but it felt pretty good. Now, I'm gonna wait and see if MBing the one time will trigger WD's more than waiting did. I won't go 90 days this time, but probably 3 weeks to a month. Or as long as it takes my sleep and dreams to return to normal, I've been sleeping very lightly or something, and not dreaming much at all.

Some things I noticed on Day 1:

I slept a lot more restfully than I have in a long time.

I seem to want to MB normally just for the hell of it, just because I haven't in so long. I haven't yet because there's no way it will feel good after only one day.

The 'hangover' that comes after losing the t-buzz makes me feel pretty laid back, but my mind is very active.

I was wrong about it feeling good. I got in the shower, and standing in it was chose enough to edging that I decided to finish. I tried at a hands free but didn't quite make it.

I should probably just say 'August is hands-off.'

I couldn't resist MBing for a few days, so I enjoyed it and then tried to start another AB, because it was starting to feel like too much. It's actually pretty hard, I can feel my body craving the dopamine or something like it. I'm not even very horny, I just sort of crave it. It's weird.

I'll keep a close eye on my dreams. They seem to be getting closer.

I finally had a sex dream, one where I got into bed under covers with a girl just a bit shorter than me, she was lying face up on top of me, and I was touching every part of her with my hands, making her feel good, and eventually penetrating her, and every time I touched her, I felt pleasure in my penis. But, as I'm a virgin, I have to imagine what this is like, and I can usually tell when I'm doing so. So, this felt like the kind of fantasy I usually have while MBing, and thought that I was just touching myself. I had promised myself (while awake) that I would try and go for a week inbetween MB sessions (until I was ready to AB for a decent amount of time), so in the dream I thought "I'll stop myself now before I get to the edge", and I did stop myself and just lay there, feeling proud that I'd managed to keep my promise.

Until I woke up and remembered what I did, and realized how very close that was to a WD, and D'OH!

I've no idea what to do now. I've obviously completely confused the subconsious part of me that controls dreams. I would AB again, but that seems to stop me realizing while dreaming that I can have wet dreams...

It sounds like your mind is still thinking of itself as the mind of a 'masturbating person'. I also don't know what your arousal levels were like during your 90-day AB period, but perhaps they just weren't high enough to get you worked up enough to have a WD?

I agree, I don't think 90 days made it 'forget' masturbating as a natural way to do things. And, I'm certainly more aroused now than most of the 90-day period, I wasn't aroused much at all for the second 45 days...

My dreams have been comparatively full of sexual imagery this week.

Edit: After reading your post about arousal being more important than ABing itself, I should think hard on that. My general arousal level is less than before I it 20, but also sometimes less than others on here who are my age. shrug

My life's been a bit stressful lately and I've figured out that if I don't MB, it feels worse. So, I'm not going to AB for at least a few weeks. I would like to AB again, since a lot of the time it felt good, so maybe next month if the time is right?

I haven't been trying particularly hard to AB at the moment, my life is a bit too disorganized and so I get stressed if I don't MB every few days. I've been trying to go for longer gaps of 4 days or 5 days, but I haven't really managed more than two this week. But, even with that, I've been pretty close to a WD at least 3 times this week. I've woken up out of at least two somewhat erotic dreams, rock hard but needing to pee. I also fell asleep lying on my stomach once, something I usually can't do because lying like that gets really uncomfortable after 10 min. The pressure of lying on my penis somehow set it off, and in a dream I could feel myself getting hard and turned on for no apparent reason. It felt like I was going to cum. But then it got really uncomfortable, probably from the pressure of lying on an erect penis, and I woke right up.

I'm not sure what I've done to make me have all these awesome dreams while still MBing every 2-4 days, but I like it. It's finally cold enough that I can sleep in a room with a comfortable temperature, a comfy blanket, and no car noise. I've been sleeping for 9 hours pretty regularly, and I don't have anything this week to get up for during the daytime. I've also got an app on my phone that makes a binaural beat noise, and I've been putting it on my headphones any time I'm awake during the night and falling asleep with it on. I'm going to keep doing that and see if I get any closer to a WD. I'm also going to try and draw out the gaps in my MB to 5 days or more, and see if that helps too.

I've managed to AB for 14 days. I find it makes me feel like I'm holding onto lightning, and if I'd intended to go longer than 14 days I couldn't have.

I haven't quite given up hope for WD's yet.
