I just found this forum and after reading a lot, I'm really eager to start having WDs again. MB is just not as satisfying and doesn't feel worth it. I remember having a few WDs during puberty and my most recent one was last year after ~11 days of AB.
My goal is to completely AB to start having WDs frequently. For me, AB means: no MB, no edging, no porn. I MB once yesterday, so I'm starting today at day 1 of AB. I'm hoping this log will help motivate me and keep me on track!

I forgot to mention, I will also be doing kegel exercises every day and trying to increase my semen volume by: drinking lots of water and eating peanuts (for L-Arginine). I have read that zinc helps increase sperm production, but since a man with a vasectomy can apparently still have WDs, sperm count is probably not a factor.

Day 4. Last night, I humped the bed for a while out of horniness. I'm not going to count it as edging because 1) there was not touching with hands and 2) I was not close to ejaculating (on the edge). Still, I'm going to try to refrain from doing it in the future.
Now I'm just waiting for this horniness to pass so I can concentrate on work.
Update: This is getting pretty tough. I almost MBed today, but NO. It's only been 4 days, I can do much better.

I failed. 
I couldn't get to sleep, so I watched porn and couldn't resist. I barely had to touch at all, which was pretty interesting. I've been losing too much sleep and I think it's from ABing.
Is it common to have difficulty sleeping due to ABing?

I understand the temptation, when your laying in bed & can't get to sleep.
Sometimes I take melatonin if I can't get to sleep & that seems to help or I try to find something to do until I feel like sleeping. Watch TV, find something to do on the computer (game, write/answer emails, chat, update a blog, research something) or finish something I've been putting off (cleaning/laundry ect.). Just some thoughts for you...

Plus you had the benefit of learning first hand how porn and touching can really mess up abstaining and getting to a wd. Glad to see you are still posting here. Unsure how often you you mb'd before the attempt to abstain. But I bet if you look at how many days you have abstained since August 27, I am sure you have had many more successful days than failures. I am confident you can successfully learn from what works vs. causes setbacks and get to the point where you are in control and can successfully abstain long term.

Just keep it simple. Don't think too much that you failed and all that. It's ok. They are a lot of thousand other things to be happy with...mere masturbation infact spoils all the fun :-) . It's ok. Have a target that will make you easy. I don't know if you can quit for 300 days with just saying I won't masturbate.. I will have sex.. but after some days.. after reaching my target .. have a beer and cheers

Day 4. Last night, I humped the bed for a while out of horniness. I'm not going to count it as edging because 1) there was not touching with hands and 2) I was not close to ejaculating (on the edge). Still, I'm going to try to refrain from doing it in the future.

Sometimes I take melatonin if I can't get to sleep & that seems to help or I try to find something to do until I feel like sleeping. Watch TV, find something to do on the computer (game, write/answer emails, chat, update a blog, research something) or finish something I've been putting off (cleaning/laundry ect.). Just some thoughts for you...

Welcome to forum. It is excellent to see that you went right back to abstaining even though you had a slip up. That is really important. Plus you had the benefit of learning first hand how porn and touching can really mess up abstaining and getting to a wd. I know from my own experience that abstaining really works and hope you are successful and can get some wd's in the near future.

I am confident you can successfully learn from what works vs. causes setbacks and get to the point where you are in control and can successfully abstain long term.
