Hey there I'm new to this forum , I stumbled upon it when I was just doing a search on wet dreams and well this forum is really interesting and I like the fact that a lot of people are talking about there experiences and it makes me feel as if I'm not alone and I have people to talk to (if that makes sense).

So anyways a bit about me, I'm an 18 year old guy, average build and just an inch below average height. I am circumcised (cut) and well Ive lately been trying to cut down on masturbating (been going at it a few times a week since i has 16) so far Ive gone 2 days strong without any urges (best record was 33 days when i went on holiday).

Well this is what Ive gathered from my previous wet dreams, they tend to happen between 13-17 days after I stop masturbating (and i think 2 or 3 times I've had it happen to me twice in the same week) and Ive noticed all my dreams which lead to a wet dream are on the sexual side (some times its me and just random girls, some I'm sure I never saw before in my life and other girls from movies etc and some dreams just involve girls), I've also noticed when ever i have a sexual dream towards the end when I'm about to ejaculate its as if my consciousness comes to me and I know that I'm in my bedroom and I'm dreaming, at that point I can feel the sensation building up inside me and on a few occasions I carried on with the dream and just let the ejaculation happen and on some occasions I've managed to wake up just before i ejaculate to be able to watch it happen (I'm just wondering has anyone had a similar experience where they are aware that they are dreaming and are about to ejaculate)

p.s I was looking through some posts made by other members and they used the letters MB, SE, WD. I'm guessing MB = Masturbating, WD = Wet Dream but what does SE mean and is there any other abbreviations that i have missed. I was also thinking about sharing future images of my wet dreams ( I know there are a few guidelines on what is acceptable and what isn't, but I'm not sure if I have to pre send the images to the moderator for permission or can I just upload them straight away if i feel they meet the guidelines)

Welcome! I just joined this week also. I haven't had a WD yet but this is day two of AB (abstaining from MB) and so far so good!

SE is Spontaneous Ejaculation,like when you're going about life and suddenly have a hard on and bam! You start spewing! I haven't had one but I can see ho it can be problematic, haha.

Thanks zachcurtis, so can it happen completely out of the blue or would you have a semi, because if its out of the blue then that's kinda scary, what if your wearing a certain type of colour and you can see the stain etc, but least if you had a semi you maybe able to take some defensive measures haha (run to a toilet)

Yaaaya! We can do this! though I am a bit worried for tonight. The weekends is when I happen to MB more. But got a new movie in for Netflix that can keep me distracted. Having an SE would be interesting, especially if one happened in public!

thanks for the help LPW, the link was perfect in giving a better idea on what goes and what doesn't, and so as you said just use my better judgement and upload pics and i don't have to send them off for approvals.

so far ive been awake the whole night its now 9:40am (just one of those nights where i couldn't get to sleep) so im going to try and have a little nap right now, but I'm getting a strong urge to MB, started of with a semi and which went hard and now its back to a semi.

Update to DAY 2

Hey don't worry I'm still going strong, I haven't given in to the urges and I don't hope to for quiet some time, but its really throbbing now after what happened. had something weird happen, i fell asleep at about 10am, i woke up to go to the toilet about an hour and 30 mins later, after that i went straight back to sleep, I feel the second i closed my eyes and it must have been within, what felt like 5 minutes I started to have a steamy dream involving me and another girl (has anyone else experienced something similar where you felt you had a dream minutes after you fall asleep after waking up to go to the toilet or do something else, anything where u woke up for 6 minutes tops then went straight back to sleep). well i couldn't finish my dream because i got a text on my phone and that just broke my sleep (wasn't to chuffed with that), but i could feel my briefs were wet, first thought WD but turned out to be precum and lots of it, so first thing i had to do was change my briefs haha.

But my question is has anyone had a WD caused by waking up then going straight back to sleep. personally i think because i was really tired when i went to sleep the second time i went straight into a REM sleep, is that possible?? doesn't it take hours to get back into that REM state????

As much as I know WD's occur extremely random. But there are few requirements that must be met. First you have to be without any sexual release for pretty long time. Though it is not the most important factor. People are different and some have WD's even when they MB frequently though this is rather an exception.
Second, the younger you are the higher is probability for WD to happen. WD occurence normallypeak during the first half or mid of puberty.
Third, it seem to be that people who dream a lot have significantly higher chances to have WD.
It is brain activity during sleep that trigger WD's. And during REM sleep some parts of your brain can get very active. Also during that period of sleep Testosterone levels are higher during the 24h cycle, which could cause sexual dreams and erections.

So, if you have dreams very seldom you have to change your sleeping patterns and perhaps lifestyle so that you could wake up naturally, enabling that important activity period for your brain before you wake up, when WD's happen most of the times.

Also, it seems that being sick or ill or having some small untreated health problems will significantly reduce your chances to have a WD. So you have to lead very healthy lifestyle with a lots of physical activity.

It is sad that there is very little scientific research done on WD's.

hey thanks for the reply, so far today is my second day in ABing and well i came really close to a WD, and i think i do dream a lot, based on the fact that i have alot of recollection of past dreams.
So i think i might have it easier to have a WD than others maybe, not sure haha. based on the fact i dream alot and im 18 so very much near the end of my teen life and under alot of lifes pressure.

That reminded me does anyone believe the amount of stress your under affects your chances of a WD because one night i was stressed about completing a school project, thought id go to sleep wake up early and finish it off, The next morning i had a WD so was wondering does your body naturally make u have a WD when your stressed as a means of relieving that stress. Would really like to hear what others think of on this matter

Hey just uploaded the pictures of my briefs after the dream it wasn't a full WD just precum.


Thats an inside view of the briefs, majority of the precum is visible in the center of the briefs


outside view you can kinda see the colour difference from the very first pic upload and in the picture the briefs are sort of reflecting the flash due to the wetness

its finally DAY 3 and i managed to fight all my urges to MB on day 2, day 2 really was a hard battle, dont have any idea why but i think it was one of the hardest and meanest urges ive had in some time, hopefully i can make it through day 3 just fine (and i know i will with all the friendly people and the support from all the people on this forum), so far haven't had any temptations or urges or random erections for the past few hours, fingers crossed the whole of day 3 goes like this, i dont have anything big planned, maybe just a lazy day in or go for a workout not sure.

I think being under stress actually reduces your testosterone, which should reduce the likelihood or the frequency of WDs. But I don't know for sure.

thats exactly what i thought aswell but then thought what if the body has its own way of relieving the stress and for me that happened through a WD and thanks for the reply Ronald

Update to DAY 3

Last night i had a huge urge to MB (as a few members that i was talking to on chat may remember when i had to leave due to my erection and not wanting to MB, and to just go to sleep) but i managed to fight it and get to sleep, i tried to sleep with the hard on but no luck, luckily it subsided after around 15 mins. Anyways about the night i had a good nights sleep, even tho its near freezing outside, my bed was really warm so i slept well, i don't recall waking up in the middle of the night to straighten up my clothes either (i tend to move a fair amount when i sleep so my clothes move into uncomfortable positions). Its now 2pm woke up an hour ago with morning wood (in this case afternoon wood haha) and its subsided now, to be honest i feel really confident about day 3, so far just got a lazy day planned, maybe clean up my bedroom a bit just to keep my mind off of things.

Its now 8:55pm and day 3 is close to an end, ive had maybe 8 erections and as i type this i have a semi which has lasted for maybe 45mins, all i did today was have a lazy day and cleaned my bedroom.

I want to believe this because I have a huge amount of stress in my life. Which is why I used to MB so much, as a form of stress relief and relaxation. But it makes sense that the body would want to naturally relieve itself in the form of a WD.


If that's true then I'm never going to get one. xD But that makes sense that it would reduce testosterone. Oh well, maybe once the semester is over and I have a few weeks off school with nothing to worry about, then I'll get one.... hopefully!

Im onto day 4 now, still havnt gone to sleep and its 00:50am, day 3 was full of alot of erections and really long lasting semi's but what do you expect when u have a lazy day, and i didnt MB so im cuffed with that, i guess tomorrow will be alot easier because i actually have things planned.

Thats really lucky you were in the bathtub, so no mess at all really haha, if you don't mind me asking what kind of warning did you get, in the past Ive had a public WD in my friends mums car (it was a 7 seater and luckily i had the back two seats by myself), we were all coming back from edinburgh and we were returning late at night, everyone was sleeping and then after about an hour of sleep my WD happened, managed to hide it perfectly, nobody noticed, it was night so you couldn't really see much and i had dark jeans on. thinking about the SE if it does happen in public i hope its dark outside so its harder to see and i hope that i have dark jeans on to. Haha i know exactly what you mean a few times ive fallen off the bed (i was right at the edge of the bed) had a dream i was running after a bus then jumped to grab onto it and at the point rolled off the bed, woke up for a split second and feel asleep on the floor haha. and i hope i dont speak in my sleep, god knows what i say (i think i have a slight idea haha). and i guess your right the longer your brains been active i guess the censor does start to not work as "efficiently" but im not complaining haha

Update to DAY 4

So i woke up about half an hour ago and had the usual morning wood and some precum, but for the morning wood i didn't really have to do much at all (went away a few minutes later) and im not really feeling horny at all today (on a scale of 10 id say im a 1, whereas last night i would say i was a 7.5), game plan for today is i have a few errands to run so i have get them done and i might go and buy a new book to read (not sure what book tho, suggestions are welcome)
