I have to admit that this forum is a great source of motivation to me. It is very tempting to mess up and I have been feeling very horny lately, however, I resisted the temptation to even touch my organ and left it in peace. It is weird how easy this decision seemed to be after I dressed up and went out for dinner. When I looked back at the struggle I had few hours before that, I don't see why it was a struggle to start with. Whenever I feel tempted, I remember that I have supporters here and I won't disappoint them. I am determined to go the distance this time and do what it takes to achieve a MB free life.

Fantasy is at the heart of MB. Even if it's a real person/situation that we are imagining during MB, it is still a fantasy at that moment. Plugging into real life with real people and forming associations with them sort of negates the need for all of that. Before we know it, MB is less of a concern.

I am determined to go the distance this time and do what it takes to achieve a MB free life.

Your attitude with this is commendable. Be patient and take it one step at a time.

so I am back! after my earlier (under a different name) quest last year that lasts for almost 4+ months, I gave up and went back to MB but with much less frequency like once every week or few days. I have to admit that my energey level and motivation have never been the same as it was during my AB (but much better than my 2 times a day MB-life). Recently, I have indulged myself into MB again, like two times every day. I am feeling sick of myself, so I decided to cut back and AB. Seriously, I used to edge every day for almost 5 hours in a row until I gave up and MB! END. no edging no touching from now on..

Day 2 for AB
Day 1 for NO edging

Reminding myself how it all started. Was feeling very low and wanted soemthing to lift my spirit a bit so I am trying this. Here is where I am today. While I am happy that I didn't wreck my AB this time, I won't lie, I am tired and really need any outlet as soos as possible. I won't go back to MB as I know myself, if I do it once I won't be able to stop myself and would back to square zero again. I might visit my doctor and ask for his advice though. 216 Days. What a performance! My feeling is that you will need at least 300 days of AB before you get a WD. So you have to keep on going. I'm 95 days behind you, however I think you have now gone into the territory where I will not be following. I'm currently up for the 150 day challenge, but think my upper limit will probably be to match Mario and his 161 day run. I think sexual relations with females will keep me from following you. You are an inspiration for everyone here. 216 days with no release, no one here is even close to you! Except perhaps for FH, but he was going to stop at 185 days or something, and we still haven't heard from him. Micheal should be on about 150 days but again, we haven't heard from him either.

Some context first: I usually dont' get many dreams and if I have a dream, it is always confusing and not coherent and I always forget most of it quickly.

now the story,...yesterday I tried to do an experiments to see if I can expedite a WD. I bought over the counter sexual stimulant that is guaranteed to work under 1 hours and last for 24 hours. it is not viagra but lets say over the counter substitute (not sure if this even accurate). Anyhow, I took a dose and then watched some erotic material online (no born as I said I am not into it). lets say I watched what usually turns me on. The response was quick and indeed I got horny quickly. Of course touching myself was not an option, so after sometime, i went to bed hoping to give my body a way to release its tension. I had a dream but not a wet dream, it was a sexual one though. First one since ages. it was not steamy but there was a girl involved of course but nothing went so far.

Anyhow, it is a step along the road.. I am not sure what conclusion I can draw from this experiment.

To put things into context, I used to watch a lot of erotic material before going to bed in earlier days but no effect on my dreams. Is is the stimulant? may be but all it does is to pump blood quickly to your organ when you are excited.. so not sure though.. may be it was my mental state. I mean I was preparing myself to have a WD or a good dream so I got something? may be.

But wait. It taking a year longer for guys who have a wet dream before getting an orgasm from masturbation might not be the same reason as it is for older guys. I thought that your first ejaculation did not have much sperm in it, or something that made it clearer than when you got older. So if a wet dream in some way relieves a build up of sperm, then maybe because sperm has not built up explains why it would take much longer. The boy masturbating for a whole year just didnt have that much sperm in his semen. On top of that I have heard of (but never experienced) "shooting blanks" which means that for some boys the time they spend masturbating doesnt only not produce sperm but no semen as well!

But after all that, I believe the time in between gets much shorter.

That is a good point that semen is different and a smaller amount for the first year. So that could affect things. Though the amount for young guys may be less, the organs are also smaller so there is less room for things. A number of years ago I found a book at a university library that had a plot of the changing average size of sex organs as guys mature. This plot had external as well as internal organs such as the prostate and seminal vesicles. I had never really thought about it before that day, but it makes sense that those internal organs start out small and get bigger during puberty too, even though it is not seen on the outside. So for young guys there is less semen but also less room to hold it.

Indeed it might be the case that my brain is trying to figure out how to deal with the new situation. There is also a "memory" effect here. My brain has been programed in the last 15 years or so that I cleanse myself via MB and that it needn't dump my load in my sleep as I usually dump it twice a day via MB. I think it will need sometime to adapt. But it is hella taking too long that I expected. Last time when I had that WD after ~ 9 months, I remember that I didn't expect it at all. Actually I lost hope at that time. I remember that I shaved my pubic hair on that night and ate some date snack. I will try to do that ( I mean the shaving) on Friday night and see if it does any stimulation. The funny thing is that after my first WD, I staying one or two months with MB or WD so I tried to eat the same snack every night thinking it is the cause LOl. In one of them, I saw a girl that I like, we were planning to sleep together, I asked her to wait until I go to my place to pick up something and come back to her, then something happened, and I wake up in the middle. Damn.. why I had to go to pick up something.. I would have a WD by now otherwise. Anyhow. Am I close for a WD? I hope so. I still have more power to fight the urge to MB or even SE. Oh, and is SE a cheating, I mean if I think hard about sex and my load gets dumped out without any stimulation (only mental one), would this be considered a cheat? if you have a SE, do you get an orgasm? do you have to have a boner for a SE or it can happen when your organ is flaccid as well?
