Also, I have been leaking copious amounts of milky precum sever times a day…odd. I marvel at the design of the body and how it knows what is happening even when I do not. Also,lately my mind has been plagued with thoughts of this  , this,  , and this,  . It kind of freaks me out because I used to never think such sexual thoughts all of the time and I am a virgin, and I have no context to think about sex. I believe that the reason behind all the thoughts and easy arousal is the increase in Testosterone in my body due to abstaining. One would not think that the increase would be so great, but the body rises them just enough to cause intense sexual feelings because the body thinks that if semen is not being released then DNA is not being passed on and the body's goal is to make sure that that DNA leaves, whether or not it goes to a reproductive use or not. Just for interest I found this article in the World Journal of Urology on Testosterone in the abstaining male: " This current study examined the effect of a 3-week period of sexual abstinence on the neuroendocrine response to masturbation-induced orgasm. Hormonal and cardiovascular parameters were examined in ten healthy adult men during sexual arousal [induced by viewing pornographic videos] and masturbation-induced orgasm. Blood was drawn continuously and cardiovascular parameters were constantly monitored. This procedure was conducted for each participant twice, both before and after a 3-week period of sexual abstinence. Plasma was subsequently analyzed for concentrations of adrenaline, noradrenaline, cortisol, prolactin, luteinizing hormone, and testosterone concentrations. Orgasm increased blood pressure, heart rate, plasma catecholamines and prolactin. These effects were observed both before and after sexual abstinence. In contrast, although plasma testosterone was unaltered by orgasm, higher testosterone concentrations were observed following the period of abstinence. These data demonstrate that acute abstinence does not change the neuroendocrine response to orgasm but does produce elevated levels of testosterone [pre-study: ~3.8 ng/ml; post-abstinence: ~4.5 ng/ml] in males." I find this study to be very interesting since it relates directly to my body and me and is hard scientific proof that my personal mental conjectures about the "why" of everything I have been experiencing is caused by the Testosterone increase. I know, blah blah blah! Boring boring boring! But really, I get into the whole science of why my body and mind are acting the way they are during a period of abstaining. Maktub100Successful abstaining I believe varies from person to person. When I started abstaining I try not to make it a big deal to myself. I did however change my showering habits. I went directly to cold showers only. I have found that the cold shower removes horniness and also forces the body to increase Testosterone production just ever so slightly. This puts one at a higher chance of having a wet dream. As for edging, just do not do it. Do not even touch your dick unless you have to clean underneath your foreskin…thats where the cold shower comes in. In a cold shower you will not want to do much but get in, wash and get the heck out. When you go to the lavatory try not to touch your dick. I would say of all rules just do not touch it in any way that will lead to you mbng and DO NOT WATCH PORN!!! You want to watch porn because your body wants you to be social and porn does not fulfill this need. Try to do things with friends or stay busy. Because you watching porn is your body craving some type of social attention. If you can make you do these things you should be fine and once you get a big number of days behind you you will feel like mbing even less because that would mean you wasted all of that time. I plan on composing a what todo and what not to do list and posting it later on. It will be for more informative.  Hang in there bro, it really is worth it!

[/quote] I guess I like that instead of just focusing on how you feel at a given moment like most of us do, you incorporate a lot of philosophical thoughts (Why do I feel this way? How will I feel later?) and you have the advantage of some medical expertise to verify your theories. I find myself most interested in visiting WDF at moments when I am really struggling with AB, which I assume is true for most people. Unfortunately, if I end up reading a bunch of discouraging journal posts from people who feel the same way I do, I too often end up less motivated then ever to keep up the fight, much less enjoy the experience. Its refreshing to read a more objective report. Sure, include the rough spots, but discussing rising testosterone levels and increased attraction to people over pixels gets me fired up to keep ABing. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

DAY 40 IS HERE!!!!!!!  I have noticed that my libido has been unusually low and I have not been aroused easily…I find this a bit odd…mostly because a few days all I could think was things like this and this …and now these things are not remotely on my mind. I am kind of relieved. I think this means things will be "smooth sailing" for a while and I am so glad. You guys who have been reading know how difficult things have been for me. Still no wet dream, but if my libido stays this low, I do not know if I will even care. I have a guess as to why my libido is so low…I think my body is used to the high Testosterone levels. I could be wrong, but that is my best guess. Wooo!!! DAY 40!!!![/size]

My libido is at an odd standstill, and I am at the point where I can touch my penis and wash beneath my foreskin and not be excited. So it begins. I almost gave in last night. I went to bed with a rock hard boner and I was leaking precum. I woke up several times very horny, and eventually ended up edging...I was able to stop and sleep. Lesson learned. AGAIN! NO MORE EDGING!
