I have reached 4 days AB...not a record but defintely a good start. Unlike many guys here, my first goal is not getting a WD. That would be a nice addition to my true goal of abstinence. I hope to update tomorrow that I am 5 days MB free.

Lazy Sunday afternoon. Day off from hockey practice although I need to start winnowing down the varsity unit. Truly the sucky part of being a coach is telling a kid they are not quite good enough.

Five days completed. This is kind of like a bodily cleanse for me except it is more mental than physical...the difficult part that is. I still find it surprising how I can go from being wicked horned and habitually whacking it to not MBing and being less horny. Yes, it will come back and I will struggle to stay chaste, but for now it is not so bad.

Picked the varsity team today. First game is at our home rink Wednesday night. Wish us luck!

8 days down...longest attempt in months!!!!

Also, we won the 1st game and regular classes end tomorrow. Finals start Saturday and end next Friday. The Christmas break cannot come soon enough.

10 days!!!! I am really happy I made it this far. This is the longest AB period I have achieved in months and hoping to make it two weeks without giving in to lust. Yesterday was really difficult for me...I was horned much of the day and bed time was really difficult but persevered. I have said often that I despise this weakness of mine but realize that I am a man and can master my passions with consistency, hard work and prayer.

My forum record set last year was 37 days. My top goal right now is to pass that mark and make it to 50 days. Don't know if I will get a WD. Have not had one in a few years and am wondering if age plays a part. Most of the guys posting here are younger and I think that certainly helps. I am not really looking for a WD but would not complain if I got one as a sort of bodily reward for being disciplined.

Really tired so will be heading to bed soon. Good luck to those of you trying and congratulations to those of you who are succeeding.

Jake, I want to AB because I find MB pathetic and want to be stronger against lust. I do hope I have a WD very soon but it is not my main goal...just a benefit. It is a personal and religious goal for me.

Well I am halfway to my most recent AB record. I really want to get to day 38 to set a new record on this site and then see where things lead. I am looking forward to the Christmas break (final game before the break is a road trip tomorrow...my guys are really looking forward to going home and I don't blame them. Ugh! Reset back to Day #1.

Actually, I am quite happy I made it 23 days without giving in to MB. 23 days is my first major attempt at AB in more than a year and the second longest attempt since I joined WDF. In the past, I would get down on myself for failing and would begin a longer period of giving in. I don't believe that will happen this time and I am committed to beginning a new period of AB.

I gave in as I usually do at bed time. If I don't fall asleep fairly quickly, my mind starts to wander and then I start day dreaming and then...well I guess you all know where that leads.

The old record still stands at 37 and I hope to break that this time.

So, woke up at home still ABing (day 3 complete). Things started pretty good today so I decided to partake in the annual pickup hockey game with my brothers and friends. As we get older, it is a friendly game so we don't need any equipment, right? Right?

Sadly, an athletic supporter with protective cup is still recommended as I learned half way through the game. And so, after puking on the ice (yes, I really got nailed) and being taunted by my so called friends (brother was sympathetic but younger half brother not so much), I sit here iceing down my nuts at home and hoping the swelling comes down pretty soon. Man do I have a nasty stomach ache. Me thinks AB will not be too difficult today.

Thanks, iroselyem. Glad to be back but already had to reset my counter.

As for the jock, served me right. No real damage to the boys except for excruciating pain and a bunch of ribbing. I don't think I could even eat anything till the next morning. But I bet most guys on here have there own bad experience "downstairs".

I don't think so. No noticeable changes and all issues cleared up pretty quickly.
