Hello, WDF

After years of knowing about this site and being curious about having a WD, I have finally decided to give it my all and go for it.

It is day 2 of AB for me, so the worst is soon to come in terms of temptation to MB...My record is ~10 days

I made this thread as a way for me to be "held accountable" to other people. I figure that it would be easy to give up if I was alone, but I wouldn't want to let you guys down so easily! I'm not sure how often I will post updates, but given my extra free time it may be daily. We'll see.

Here are some of the things I am doing that may affect how fast I get the WD:

• I will not stroke or rub my dick at all
• I sleep nude
• (EDIT)I will do kegel exercises once a week (I can hold a kegel for well over a minute at this point)
• I have kept a dream journal for a little over 2 years now
• (EDIT, again)I will avoid porn and thoughts of arousal

Day 3

I had a great sex dream last night. Due to how often I used to masturbate (I probably averaged 10-15 times a week for the past few years) I have only had a handful of sex dreams ever, so I definitely feel like I am on the right track.

In case you were curious, the dream involved the hot pornstar Sasha Grey giving me a handjob. I was really curious to see if the dream got me hard in real life but the dream dragged on and became non-sexual for a while. By the time I woke up I was soft, also, there was no precum.

Abstaining has been much easier than I thought so far; but I haven't started getting random erections yet, so I guess that is when it will really start to get challenging.

Day 4

I woke up in the middle of the night a couple of more times than usual and got a few erections while trying to go back to sleep. It was kind of annoying. I didn't end up with morning wood though, so its not so bad. I am still going strong.

After doing a little more reading on the forums, I decided to start using a theory of texanguy's. He figures that watching porn or fantasizing before bedtime can increase your arousal and possibly help bring on a WD. I think I agree, if we get aroused often enough and basically trick our body to believe that masturbation is not an outlet, a WD seems like a logical reaction. I feel that I have enough self control to not touch myself while doing these things.

Day 5

I am still focused and I am keeping my urges in check. I will get a WD eventually, just need to have patience.

Last night I did quite a bit of dreaming, more than usual. It was 97% non-sexual, but I still think it is a good sign of things to come. Pun very much intended.

On the flip side, I have been having very few erections. It is certainly making abstinence easier for me, but it could also mean a wet dream if farther off...

Day 6

Still trucking. I had another night with lots of dreaming, but I remembered very little of them. School has been keeping me busy so I have had less temptation to masturbate.

I have a feeling I have been working out my PC muscles a little too much and my ability to get spontaneous erections was probably affected. I will now just do them once a week to simply maintain them rather than every other day which was to build them up.

Wow, a whole week! I have only ever lasted this long maybe 3 times or so. My erections (or lack there of) have improved since I have taken that break from PC muscle exercises. I actually had morning wood today. That's about all there is to say today, I will check back in tomorrow.

Ok, the past 24 hours have been full of fail. I edged last night and this morning. I was just so turned on with how hard my dick was and how good it felt to stroke it. It felt so much better than those daily sessions I used to have.

Ok, I just haven't been horny enough. I don't even feel close to a WD right now. So that means it is time to switch up the strategy. No or very little (I am human after all!) porn from here on out. I will just try to suppress all thoughts of arousal and maybe that will cause my subconscious to compensate.

I really just want to give up and go back to masturbating. It was much funner than waiting for something as unpredictable as a wet dream.

Day 10

I am tied with my best record of abstinence! Its really hard for me to believe that ever since I began masturbating that I haven't gone more than 10 days without doing it. I am slowly taking control of my body back from the little guy downstairs

I found myself dealing with erections a few times last night while I tried to get to sleep, a good sign if I have ever seen one.

I feel much more optimistic today about what I am doing. Next stop, the 2 week mark!

Woot! New personal AB record! From here on out its uncharted territory for me.

I just feel really good right now. It must be the t-buzz I have heard so much about. I am pretty horny and erections come easily and often, but I am still fighting the good fight against my urges.

I am also needing less sleep for some reason. I sleep between 6 and 7 hours when I used to sleep between 8 and 9.

Congratulations on so many days of AB, especially since you edged once. I find that I can increase the chances of a WD by sleeping in really late one morning when the chance arises. Somehow the extra hours of sleep sometimes lead to an awesome and hugely satisfying WD.
