Was going through your logs the other day and I have to congratulate you for abstaining, especially waiting to have sex. It must be very difficult seeing that you are still a teenager and have been with your girlfriend for a while. I'm a girl, and when I started my first relationship (which I still am in now), I gave in after a month.

You can do it. I think you've reached the point where AB and WDs are your more natural and preferred outlet. They feel better, more intense, and are more rewarding.

I think that WDs may naturally be a more mature and 'adult' outlet than MB. Once you get them pretty regularly, MB really can't be an acceptable substitute anymore. It's hard to argue with the conclusion that WDs are a far better and more rewarding alternative to waking sex than is MB.

Zach, sometimes we just aren't ready to meet the goals we set. Perhaps right now is not the time for you to AB. I do it for personal satisfaction and religious reasons. If yours is a strong reason, than persevere. If it is not, don't sweat it.

As for the 3X per day rate...oh, do I remember those days. It is good to be a teenager!

Zach, I think you are in a unique position to compare full WD mode with frequent MB. How do you think they compare?

First let me offer my ideas, even though it's difficult for me to get WDs.

I think WDs naturally feel better, more exciting, and more rewarding than MB. WDs are simply a better experience. Feeling horny while out of the MB habit and in full WD mode, and not wanting to edge at all while looking forward to the next WD is more fun and exciting than resorting to MB.

But I think one MB can lead to another because it's quick and on demand. If a guy is MBing regularly and wants a WD, he realizes that he has to deny what he's become used to doing, and knows he has to wait a while for a good WD. So even though he might prefer a WD, and would enjoy it more, he settles for the lesser but quicker fix of another MB session. It feels to him like an uphill battle to get into WD mode, and it can be easier just to MB again.

On the other hand, if a guy gets away from MB and edging, and gets fairly frequent WDs, MB seems inferior and not worth it. He likes where he is, it feels better and more enjoyable than MB, and he knows without a doubt that his next WD will be much better and more exciting than MB.

So i think you can argue that both MB and full WD mode have their good points, but full WD mode is indeed better.

How does this compare to your thoughts and observations?

To break one's cycle once in a blue moon, especially after the milestones that Zach has achieved at his age, is a feat that MOST of us would love to have. I think to have your relapse time, get it out of your system, and then get back on the horse, isn't a bad thing.

True Strength!

Ive been taking the time to read some stuff here on WDF and i came across the encouraging words thread started by Kipman in Off Topic and im not sure how ive never seen this thread but i was sitting here in my room this christmas eve sending some Pms to friends and i started reading this thread and the post titled True strength really him home with me. with everything thats happened in the last few years of my life ive been so tempted to give up but my mom n dad always told me to never give up on anything, your dreams and especially life. so no matter how bad things got i never gave up. from my end i dont really see that as true strength cuz i feel more like a waste case but i wanna believe that at some point in my life things will turn around and get better. but im thankful that my family is still around even though i cant see them now since they have moved away. that has been hard on me and is maybe making me grow up a bit faster so things have been changing a lot this year. many of u that know me know im extremely shy in person and i mean extremely shy, i rarely ever talk to someone unless im forced to. in school i dont talk unless someone asks me a question, i wont eat alone in a restaraunt or fast food place, i order and go sit outside or in my truck by myself to eat and its very hard for me to make friends because of my shyness. the only way i meet new people is if someone introduces me and we talk but i rarely start a convo ever. being away from my parents is kinda forcing me to interact with people. becoming involved in the forum chatroom has helped me a lot to overcome my fears and has taught me how to talk with people and many here are surprised when i tell them im so shy because i think im 100% opposite on chat than i am in person. i still have issues cuz so many people here that said they were my friend bailed on me and refused to talk to me but in the almost 2 years ive been here i now realized that many people here lie about everything and are here only to get their rocks off and are no longer my friend because i refused c2c with them or refused pics or vids but i have realized they were only saying what i wanted to here so they could get what they wanted which im sorry to say i gave them so they would be my friend and talk to me. now i know how the internet world works and i stopped doing those things and then u quickly find out who your real friends are. well im happy to say im over those people and have learned to pick my friends and i think most of the people i chat with regularly are good people and much more honest than the people ive delt with in the past and i think ive been happier lately for it. im a very emotional person and this year i think ive had the least amount of uncontrolled emotions than any year i can remember, which is very good for me. anyways im rambling again so i should stop here i just wanted to say that quote has a lot of meaning for me. I can say no matter how bad things get i will do my best to never give up and Hang in there as i always say. so im done now.
