It has been difficult again to resist for few last days.
Today morning I had a fake WD again. I dreamt that I had a WD I felt like I was wet all over but when I tried to verify how much wetness there is, it was all dry. Nothing again. Am I so desperate in having a WD that I have fake WD's?



Setting dates or lenghts does not work for me. First attempts I did this and I failed every time. Motivation should come from inside, then it is easier to resist. I know, I would not MB. And I just do not do that. It is kind of state of mind.

Tieguy, it has been easier for me after day 100.
But I am thinking about to quit AB in January or February. It is just pointless. I think it has been proved already that some guys do not have WD. Unfortunately.
In my teens I had few and seems like I will never have more.
Still there is a faint hope...

Does this mean you've gone almost 150 days without release?

No SEs? No stimulation free releases?

I say, keep on going with the AB. See if you can go for 365 days.

Lately it has been a bad sleeping pattern that I think is a reason for low chances of having a WD.

Tieguy, it seems you are one of these whose getting a WD seem to take forever.
My firstAB tries were like one week, then 2 weeks and there was quite an achievement of 35 days wich was polluted with extensive edging. So I thought if I edge less and last longer I could have a WD at last. So my last big attempt was 99 days. Then it seemed like if I waited little longer I could have achieved a WD, so there is the reason why I am on current AB attempt.
Abstination has become easier, but it is not effortless. I do not forget that I can't MB. It is always in my mind. To be honest I feel that chances to have a WD are rather small. Especially after 150 days. As normally WD should start some 2-4 weeks after starting AB.
A wish to have WD is the only reason why I do not MB. (Perhaps I should have written to Santa:) about my secret desire)
I am happy if my humble AB attempt inspires you or anybody else whatever the reason.
I have noticed that setting small or no goals help to AB. Starting an Abstination is like entering a certain state of mind. Difficult to explain.

NSX, yep almost 150 days without any release. There have been 2 cases of false WD (I dreamt like I had a WD) And there are several moments when SE has been very close.
Right now I think that it is not worth to continue with AB without WD. Well see what next month will bring. If I think about 365 days right now,it seems too much for me. Like when I started this AB period I never set any goals except having a WD.

Tieguy, I have exactly the same feeling almost every day. Then I just would postpone that till next day in the hope perhaps tonight will be my WD night.

I feel like Im a snail.
If I look into a far distance, it feels unachievable. However, if look into next day, it doesn't seem so difficult and I keep on moving very slowly.

If I was Harry Potter, it would have much easier. just take your wand and say: Expecto Wetdreamum!!!

I am very tempted to quit.
Not because I couldn't hold any longer.
It's because there is no reward, no WD. And I do want to feel normal as I need to do more work with my brains, not to fight my urges.
I am not sure of continuing till 183 days completed or half a year done.
May be I will choose another path in my WD chase. Like MB once every 2 weeks, just to have at least some release, similar to normal WD pattern.
These are my thoughts right now.

Ang, I do believe Mario has gone 158 days with no MB and NO WD. So that's why I'm worried. Because I don't see a WD for me anytime soon.

I used to post a lot in the beginning of this forum. I think it is possible that you are having WDs and not remembering them. You should examine your clothing or bedsheets to see if you can find some stains.

We have seen that sometimes a WD occurs when a 'slip up' happens after abstaining for a long time, especially if it is only one slip up. If you finally decide to induce a waking orgasm, I suggest that you do it hands free, like humping your mattress or pillow. Don't do regular MB. Do it only once, not more. Then wait a while, maybe two weeks or a month before doing it again, no matter how much you might feel like doing it again.

I think a lot of whether we get WDs or not is psychological, and clearly it varies from person to person. Maybe it makes sense to try to copy the attitudes and feelings of full time WDers. Full time frequent WDers seem to not edge and don't seem to deny themselves MB. They remember how good their WD's are and look forward to the next one with little or no desire to MB. The most successful MBer turned full time WDer at this site, shadow-15, actually took an active dislike of MB while fantasizing about having sex.

Maybe you just have too much suppression. You can be moral and ethical and still imagine having sex in the right situation, and maybe that would help you do it in WDs.

I think that the changes people notice when they abstain are natural and built in. Our bodies and brains change naturally when we abstain, or a better way to put it might be that we force changes when we MB that may not be natural. Among these changes are the extra energy, making precum more easily, and the ability to feel aroused without always getting an erection. Several people mention that their penis seems longer when they abstain.

Some or all of this might be due to increased testosterone, which at least one study indicates happens when we abstain. I think another thing that is true is that sex would feel better if you don't MB. It's not just the extra horniness, it's the combination of feelings and control. You can also see that many guys who slip up and MB say that it didn't feel that good.

So maybe you don't want to go back to MB. You may very well not enjoy it.

All this talk about the goal of having a WD might minimize the fact that guys who have regular WDs want to have sex and do it in WDs. They want to repeat the experience and enjoy it much more than they want to MB.

All this suggests that you might try doing what a lot of full time WDers do: Try imagining having sex before you go to sleep at night. No edging, no touching, just imagine having sex. Don't think about MB at all. (Of course, WDers have an advantage, because they can recall having sex in their recent WDs.) For many, MB is obsolete. They simply want the experience of having sex, and do it in WDs.

Maybe thinking along these lines will help. Maybe you are ready to finally become a full time WDer.

Today I had many dreams. None were sexual despite I fell asleep sexually very charged. I have times with dreams and times with no dreams. When I am deprived of sleep and very tired or sick I do not have much dreams. When I can sleep as long as I can for several days, I usually start dreaming. There have been several sexual dreams. Among then I had 2 fake WD. Like I dreamed that I had a WD. First there was a sexual dream, then I felt like i ejaculated and then I dreamed I woke up and when I really woke up, there was only hardon and no wetness. That was around day 90.

I can easily have an orgasm without touching myself. Without humping a pillow. Sometimes I wake up in the morning with such feeling and sometimes if I think on sexual things I can get erect and continue toward SE in my mind without touching. I call it mental masturbation and have avoided by supressing that aroused feeling in myself. As I failed on day 99 exactly because of that kind of behaviour during my previous attempt.
It might be that I am suppressing myself subconciously, not allowing myself to ejaculate even in my dreams. As that has been the case several times.
Perhaps I will switch myself to SE mode, allowing only mentally stimulated orgasms if the mood is right.
I really want to have a WD that bad!

Day 161

Sexually charged dreams and weird penis behaviour. It like just pulsated without ejaculation and without being hard, being fully awake.
It certainly motivates me for a time being to continue. But there have been similar periods during my AB time before.
There is also difficult time in my life right now. If it stabilizes to certain level I could well carry on till 1 year is complete. But if I have to choose whethere to AB at any cost or try to be more productive I will discontinue AB, as my willpower pool isn't unlimited. I have to divert some of my willpower and constant T-buzz won't help me to concentrate on work that needs more brains.

I am trying to be honest.
If my personal effort inspires someone then it makes me feel more useful and I am happy to help.
