Hello All,

I'm terrible with introductions but here it is. I'm 19 year old male and have never experienced a WD. I just feel the need to switch things up a bit. I MB virtually every day but I have decided to abstain from MB in search of the elusive WD. My last MB was on 10/4/09.
Anyways, on with the journal:

Day 1: I basically laid around all day and resisted the urge to MB. Refitted the door on my car, now it works like a dream. I have a feeling many more of the things on my "To do" list are going to get done now . Nothing much to report.

Day 2: Woke up early to do some stretches and exercises before my Physical Therapy (which I will refer to here on as PT). It helped me take my mind off of a morning wank. Man, showers go quick now . I'd be lying if I said my mind isn't on MB right now. I've been half mast for a good portion of the day.

One tip for your journey:
Try not to "play" with your dick at any point. Even if you don't take it to the end, in my personal experience it decreases your chances of having a wet dream. And if you start the edging way, it even takes more time than MBing and you will probably find yourself edging whenever possibe. At least that's what happens to me.

Day 3: Been aroused all day. It's a bit odd having these feelings and trying not to succumb. Any sort of sensation down there caused me to get hard. I've had to stop putting my laptop on my lap . Gave in to looking at some porn tonight. No contact or happy endings though.

Think of it as an exploration into new territory, and continue on the journey. MB has been preventing aspects and feelings of sexuality that are natural and built in, but have been inhibited by the MB habit until now. You should start to be able to separate horniness and arousal from a desire to MB, and will likely become able to feel excited and aroused without always getting an erection. MB can go from feeling like a necessity to realizing that it is just an an option. Then it will become not a very good option that has negative side effects, such as reducing the 't-buzz' and feelings of energy and even 'maleness' that we talk about here, and reduces the chances for the natural, normal, and intense outlet of WD's.

There are guys who don't have the MB habit and don't want it. They have realistic WD's that include more exciting situations and more intense and long lasting orgasms than MB can give. They go to sleep at night hoping for another WD while not being tempted to MB.

Isn't that the 'next step' after endless and increasingly boring MB?

Day 4: Much similar to day 3. I've been feeling some sensation in my wedding vegetables all day. Kind of hard to describe but it almost feels like a slight pressure. My testicles are a bit more sensitive. My body must be wondering what the heck is happening because I was a daily MBer and I just went cold turkey.

I did some reading today on abstaining from orgasm/MB. How it gives you WD's, tbuzz, energy and raised confidence levels and views of the opposite sex among other things. I've gone from the mind set of "I think I'll try this out." to "Hell Yeah!! I wanna do this!".

I'm going to lay down some ground rules for myself. I'll change them or add to them when I see fit.
1. No porn As of tonight I'm deleting it all off of my computer
2. Set a goal, reach a goal, set another goal.
As of now my goal is to abstain to 15 days from my last MB release. So 11 days till I set a new goal.
3. No MB of any sorts

Day 5: Today has been a good day. I haven't had any urges to MB. Some morning wood and some occasional half mast after that. I do still have sensitive testes however, maybe a minor case of blue balls? I dunno. I have noticed my attitude change from fairly timid/laid back to sociable and sometimes edgy. I've got some projects for the weekend so hopefully that will keep my mind off of floggin' my log.

Day 6 - 12:30 PM

Awoke at around 6 AM with a raging hard-on (for lack of a better term) and feeling a bit aroused. Decided to try the Deer Exercise (something I was reading about the night before similar to Kegals). It definitely made me a bit less horny and helped me fall back asleep. I've also been trying to sleep on my back or my sides which has been somewhat successful. I'm mostly doing it to help rid me of my back problems but also I see that most people get their WD's while they sleep on their backs which is a bit more motivation to make the switch.
Blue balls continues though . It doesn't bother me much unless I do certain positions.

Blue balls sucks. It FINALLY subsided about an hour ago . Still some minor pressure but nothing like this afternoon. It even killed my appetite. I guess I'll have to be a bit more careful on how long I allow myself be aroused for so I can keep blue balls at bay. Other than that it was a fairly normal day for me. I think it's time for a cold shower .

Nearing the end of day 7. In a few hours it'll have been a week since my last MB !!! Today erections weren't as frequent. Even when I thought about something sexual I could keep it down. Absolutely nothing like my first 4 days of precum stained boxers. Anyways, nothing else to report.

Day 8 & 9:
Nothing significant to report. However I've been waking up around 4 or 5 AM with the hardest morning wood I've had in some time. No erotic dreams.

Day 10: Seemed like a regular day. Double digits, w00t!
Day 11: Nothing much. Took a 2 hour nap at noon in hopes that something would happen, nothing did.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with this spare time before bed that quitting MB has freed up. I gave reading a shot, which I used to do frequently when I was younger, and that put me to bed like nothing else.
For some reason I've been waking up in the middle of the night (or morning) for the past few days, often with my member throbbing. I seem to wake up around 5 or 6 regardless of when I fall asleep, before this I've easily been able to sleep until 8 or 9. I seem to be dreaming more though, or at least more aware of what I have been dreaming. Nothing too out of the ordinary in that department though.

Day 14 (Two Weeks!!): I started taking daily multivitamins. Figure that it's good for my health and might help WD's. It's been 2 weeks so far, which I believe to be a personal record and I don't plan on stopping.

Got back from a nice long drive and I'm dead tired. I shouldn't have any issues falling asleep tonight.

My dreams have been normal, nothing extreme or out of the ordinary. Unfortunately none of them have been sexual. However before I stopped MBing I never really had too many dreams about sexy time. Perhaps my brain needs to transition from visual stimulation (ie, pornography) to mental stimulation (ie, dreams).

Yeah, Whenever I get that feeling I just think "If you MB you'll have wasted X days of hard work". Usually that gives me some sort of motivation. Sometimes I'll just change thoughts or go do something active/productive.

Today was the end of my first goal!!
Felt some minor pressure in the wedding vegetables, hope it's not another oncoming of blue balls. I don't know why I would get it though, nothing has really aroused me within the last couple days. :fingers crossed: Maybe signs of an oncoming emission? I can only hope.
Next goal is day 30 which I think puts me at Nov. 3rd.

Day 20:
Had a very busy work week so I didn't even think about MB. Everything seems alright. Frequency of erections is way down. Usually I'll have morning wood every other day and that's about it.

Every day passed is a day closer. Hopes are still high. MB seems like a distant memory now and I have little to no urge.

Day is ending. I've kept myself pretty busy the last few days. Time to return to work tomorrow. Feel pretty normal. Same ol' same ol'. Still no ejaculation of any sorts.

End of goal 2 by the way. Next goal.. make it to Dec. 1st. That's 26 days away. Dec. 1st would put me at 56 days of abstinence which is the high end amount of time it takes people to get a WD according to the FAQ.

Day 38: I've had increased sensitivity for the past few days. Whenever my member brushes up against something, erect or not, I feel a bit of pleasure and sometimes I'll get one or two PC contractions. Over 5 weeks since my last MB and ejac. Never thought I'd make it this far. Can't give up now.
