I made it a full week already! Desire/arousal/lust not as ferocious today for some reason. Often, when I achieve a milestone (such as a full week) there's the temptation to say "enough already, you have avoided MB for 7 whole days." This time, I got thru day 6 (and thus far into day 7) with only minor, occasional pangs of sexual hunger. Awoke with fully erect morning wood, but it went down within the hour. I'm always amazed how abstaining can be such a roller coaster. Impossibly horny one day, pleasantly in full control the next. At this rate, making 8 days, 14 days, 20 days, 30 days or more seems doable. But who knows, I could be temporarily desperate to cum within a day or two. It helps me during those times to remember that the overwhelming temptation is usually short-lived. I keep in mind "this too shall pass." Try to break the connection between 'desperate to cum' and MB. Sure, you can want to cum at times, but just in an exciting scenario that happens inside a WD. Try to see MB as an inadequate and poor method of cumming, that it can't give you what you want, and that it will be completely unsatisfactory. I definitely am feeling great on day 9. Sure, I'm really horny, but then again overall I feel so much better. It seems the t-buzz kicked in for real last evening. I began to think of working on long-put-off projects for which I've procrastinated! (When MB, for me it's so easy to ignore things that need to be done.) Did the 6-mile exercise trail yesterday. Day 14! Two whole weeks w/o MB!

As I now complete my 2nd full week of abstaining (at least here in the Eastern time zone it's already Jan. 14) I'm noticing an unusual sensation. It's not what you might think. It's happiness. It dawned on me that I haven't felt this happy in a quite a while. I'm certain the two weeks without MB has a LOT if not everything to do with this. I think too-frequent MB had contributed to me leading the unenthusiastic life I commonly see among peers--a life that's too often inexplicably sad and lonely, despite the 200 phone numbers in my cell phone and 430 friends I have on Facebook. Does abstaining "cure" sadness, or is this a fluke? I guess time will tell. But right now I feel the happiest in months.

I don't think I've felt this good since prior to Sept. 3, 2010, the day I traveled to the American Midwest for a visit with my dad (after spending the previous day with my 98-year-old grandmother.) Sept. 3 was the day our beloved pet feline since 1998 died with no warning. Worse yet, I was out of town and unable to be with him in his last moments. Hours later, I developed the worst root canal of my life, right on the Friday of the Labor Day weekend. No dentist available to me on a holiday weekend and in a rural area. Due to the excruciating root canal pain, I slept sitting up (vertically) for 2 entire weeks! To top it all off, my stepmother viscously berated me for being less active than usual due to the root canal pain, such as being unable to visit my 99-year-old great-aunt. Well, duh! It was really a triple whammy hitting me Sept. 3.

I'm long overdue for the happiness I'm feeling. I don't even mind enduring the periodic bouts of virtually unbearable horniness, if that's my sacrifice to move on to a new, happier, "never-ejaculate-except-in-wet-dreams" lifestyle.
