Had a spectacular wet dream near the end of last month, then succumbed to a bit of mb the following couple of days. Good news is I'm back up to 19 days abs now and, wow, the t-buzz is really coursing thru me. Ironically, the horniness is more intense now at 19 days than it was when I'd abstained longer. Unexpectedly persistent morning wood today. Totally suprising for only 3 days' abs. Kind of wishing now I'd done more of a "clearing of the pipes" before beginning this contest. I only ej twice in October: once on Oct. 19, and the last time on Oct. 31. It seems like there are two schools of thought for what to do prior to beginning abstinence. I have followed the 1st one: 1) mb the minimum , or as infrequently as possible, usually just once. The theory here is that less is more. As such, mb is like candy. In that case, more mb would only lead to more and more horniness . The opposing theory is: 2) mb as much as physically possible so the body will tire of the urge. This would be similar to the MOYD counter-challenge.

Thank you for the valuable insight, InterestedGirl! It is really interesting to see how the physiological changes are similar in many ways yet different in others. As for me:



Day 5 now (Day 6 in 3 hours)
Last mb was Oct. 31, 2013

Pattern seems to emerging:

even-numbered days: some urge; relatively easy to tolerate
odd-numbered days: more intense arousal; harder to hold off

Days 2 and 4 were pretty easy to resist any desire to fap, for the most part.
Days 3 and 5 have presented markedly increased horniness. Today I awoke with the most powerful morning wood in months!

Hopefully this is indeed a pattern of alternating days of horniness, at the moment being odd-numbered days. It's easier to ignore a sudden, perhaps momentary, certainly temporary flare-up of intense arousal if you know that the following day it's likely to subside somewhat. One secret to extending abstinence is when that pattern changes from a strong temptation every other day--to every 3rd day, or even 4th day. Sexual frustration is not always cumulative, even though it can feel that way. I've experienced this pattern before where the peak temptation to mb alternates. That is, it's not always EVERY day. It's much easier to resist the temptation to ruin one's abstinence when the intense horniness is interspersed with days of mild to moderate urge, or even the pleasant warmth and glow of accumulating t-buzz.

Interesting. It's so weird how that happens; it can be so (frustratingly) unpredictable.

Thanks, iroselyem! For me the temptation is stronger again today. But I'm just grateful that it is alternating, and that yesterday was such an easy abstinence day. True, it is unpredictable whether the current alternating of "one day quite notable horniness, then next day somewhat noticeable moderate arousal" will continue or change. It's possible the intense urge days could become every third day, for example. Regardless, it helps to successfully resist strong urge days knowing that the desire probably won't be as intense the next day. I think a common misconception is that sexual arousal is cumulative. That's not necessarily the case. For example, I tend to find day 12 of abstinence easier than day 11. If the urge was simply cumulative, each day would get progressively more difficult. I don't find that to be the case. Even on some of the most tempting "fever pitch" horny days, I'll "tell" my body to just be patient and see if the level of frustration is still "this bad" the next morning. It almost never is as urgent feeling by then. More importantly, I'm then always grateful I didn't succumb and give in the previous night for the few seconds it takes to ruin abstinence.

Thanks all! Today has been kind of an inverse of yesterday. Yesterday, morning was most horny, then the urge gradually subsided by late afternoon--and evening was easy. Today is the opposite: no morning wood, little if any morning horniness. But by late afternoon, persistent urge/temptation
kicked back in gear, seemingly out of no where. I need to stay strong and continue to successfully resist these sudden, often short-lived, albeit quite intense bouts of fervent arousal.

Uber strong morning wood, but overall horniness for the most part not as intense today; easily tolerable and thus not as great a risk of mb. Quite unusual (at least for me) virtually incessant flow of precum today, though. Sure, at least a few drops seep out most days, then that's that. Today the flow seems not to abate. Had I known, perhaps I'd have worn more than one pair of briefs. Felt like I was having a wet dream last night. Pretty realistic feeling. But I awoke to find it had been just a dream, as evidenced by totally dry morning wood and no indications on sheets.

Day 17

Horny as Friday, yet Saturday was remarkably easy to abstain. It seems that every "peak intensity" urge/temptation is followed by a pleasant day of low-grade arousal, or even horny-free hours. When this happens, it makes one glad he or she did not give in to mb temptation the previous day. If the previous day's urge was truly "unbearable," then why is OK today despite the fact I did not mb? Anyway, the only curious development during my mostly non-horny Saturday was I began leaking precum late afternoon into the evening. Mostly just annoying having to periodically wipe off the wet droplets. It's possible the precum flow means the wet dream tanks are getting close to discharge any night now.

Day 18

After an overall comparatively urge free weekend, horniness has inexplicably picked up now on Monday. Yet that's actually pretty good timing, since for most of us there is less time and little or no privacy to even consider mb during typical 8am to 5pm business and/or college days. Then weeknights we're either tired from a long busy day and/or trying to catch up on studying, classes, reports for work, spending time with felines who demand attention after having been left alone all day, etc. Thus, during the week it seems like one can be really horny, or have free time, but often not simultaneously.

Conversely, weekends seem to be when the two highest abs fail risk factors combine:

1. Intensely horny urges
2. Free time

Separately, either one of these two things is no big deal. It's just when they're combined, simultaneously, that the temptation to ruin days or weeks of achieved abs in a matter of seconds via MB. (And then feel like crap about 90 seconds later, for various reasons , after the very short moments of ej are over.)

Increased urge on a Monday is somewhat atypical in my case. It's important to keep in mind that unusually intense horniness, especially when persistent, not just intermittent, often precedes a wet dream

Last night dreamt I was on a date where things were going extremely well. In the dream, my date resulted in an exhilarating explosive conclusion. Incredible horniness makes it hard to resist, for sure. And makes some things just plain hard. But I have held off since Oct. 31.
