No; I really don't think so. Like I said, I've tried many different sleepwear and I've had WDs in many positions, all with no apparent correlation to frequency.

Well I managed to go a whopping 8 days this time around. That’s twice as good as last time! (Notice the sarcasm.) One thing I will mention, on the positive side, is that I’ve started keeping a detailed, daily log of several items, including horniness level, number of erections during the course of a day, whether I exercised, etc. I noticed that my horniness progressively increased over the last 2-3 days with more random erections. Perhaps I can use this “horniness increase” to warn me in the future when the temptation may spike to dangerous levels. I stayed away from porn this time, and I did manage to keep up with my devotions, so those are positives as well. Another item of note is that I feel particularly drained this time around. I haven’t felt this dragged out since 3-4 MBs ago. I’m not sure why that is, but it may be related to the fact that I’ve been much better about regular exercise and general activity this past week, so I was “riding the t-buzz” more than I had been, and thus the large let-down this time.

Apparently I had a WD last night. . . haha. I awoke at about 5am to a partially dried spot beneath me. I obviously don’t remember the dream or the ejaculation, but I do have the t-buzz back! Hopefully I’m back on track now and I won’t have any slip-ups for a while. It’s really quite interesting keeping a detailed log the way I have been. I have a graph of my WDs and MBs and the data looks different from what I thought it would. I have had a WD about every 10 days, MB or no, all this year with only one major exception. I did not expect this at all, and it really causes a lot of questions. I will be interested to see what effect increased abstinence has on this 10-day pattern.

Congratulations on another WD. It is interesting that your WD rate is pretty constant even with occasional MB. I think that your long abstinences have enabled WD mode in your brain, and it seems from you and others that WD mode can remain even with some MB. But too much MB seems to kill WD mode and if you did that you might have to abstain for a long time to get back into it.

As you said, it would be interesting to see if long term abstinence increases your WD rate. It would also be interesting to see if that causes your WD's to be more memorable and/or more intense.

This brings up a broader question. People seem to be on a continuum with full time MBers who never get WD's at one extreme, and full time WDers who never MB at the other extreme. The question is how far people can move on that continuum. Shadow-15 made the biggest transition from MBer to full time frequent WDer who strongly dislikes MB and plans on never MBing again, but he was an exception, young, and may never have liked MB that much in the first place. But most people seem to struggle to make a complete transition to full time WDer, even when they have and enjoy WD's, and aren't happy when they slip up and MB.

Maybe it takes a big change in attitude. I wonder if it would help motivate a person if all their close friends never MB'd, loved to discuss their frequent WD's with each other, and obviously looked forward to more WD's while thinking that MB is dumb and immature. Would that help motivate a guy to get a negative attitude about MB and join in the fun as a full time WDer?

But as we discussed in some other topics, it seems like a lot of guys enjoy sleeping (and even doing other things like watching TV or doing homework) nude when they give up MB. What good would a nude picture do anyway, even if you dont think about who wants to see it or if it is legal? This site is about wet dreams so the only thing you can take a picture of is the only physical evidence we ever get from a wet dream which is the semen left behind on your bed or underwear. We take and share those pictures to compare the location of them and the amount which you can tell from the size. That is about it really. The only other possibility is a video of the wet dream, and in that case you can be nude in the video but it is not allowed here by anyone especially a minor. Messed up and MBed to ejaculation last night. I was fine all day, keeping busy with various things that needed to be done, but I started getting very horny right before bed. I started down an internet trial that led to a couple hard-core pictures. I actually managed to stop myself though after only a minute or two. Up to that point I hadn’t actually touched myself, but after getting bed and tossing and turning for about 20 minutes I started some light stroking, and it was all over in less than two minutes.

As discouraged as I am right now, there are few things I actually find encouraging: for one thing, this was my longest abstinence so far in 2009. It’s still less than half of my all-time 101 day record, but at least I am working up to longer times again.

Second, I managed to keep up my scripture reading almost every single day. That’s the best I’ve done on that front in years. In fact, I have decided to add 5 minutes of “required” prayer to the reading since I’ve done so well.

Third, I did exceptionally well at not touching or edging during the last 41 days. I had only one edging session and 5 momentary touches. I have therefore decided to count edging as MB and reset my count if I do any edging.

At this point, 101 days is the end of August, so I’m shooting for a MB-free summer this year. I’ve got enough to keep me busy that I don’t have to waste time on porn and MB.

I can not for the life of me remember the dream. I partially awoke for the orgasm and remembered the dream then, but I can not remember it now. This is the third WD in a row that I’ve had 3 days apart after a “dry spell” of 17 days. Not sure what’s up with that, but I’m enjoying the increased frequency.
