APRIL REPORT

Last month was a mb free month. Abtaining seems to get easier with time but since i still did not experience my first wet dream i believe i am vulnerable to fall back. I need to stay focus and abstain fully until i get my first one and than abstain as long as it took to reach it to really declare victory over my mb habit.

I commit myself to abstain fully in may.

I accidently ejaculated while massaging my prostate...so i guess that counts as MB although i never touched the penis. Usually i don't come whith prostate stimulation alone but since it has been 65 days since my last ejaculation i was easily excited. I hope it won't set me back to far to achieve my first wd. Maybe i should count any prostate massage as mb even if i don't ejaculate?

Well my commitment to have a mb free month is gone but i will try to finish the month with no further ejaculation.

I failed once in may at the 65 day mark. I still did not achieve my first wd and i think i know why. I need to have a better 3 month consecutive average.

It seems every time i get 2 solid months i blow it in the third month. The fact is, my best 3 month abstinence is 6 mb. Therefore, logics says i need to get under 6 mb per 3 month to get in wet dream mode.

Since march i have one mb on record. If i keep it at 2 mb or less for the month of june...i finally may get lucky because that would bring my total to one to 3 mb for the last 3 months which would be half my best efforts yet.

June should be revealing if i remain strong in my quest for my first wd.

I already have 2 mb for june but since march 11...i only have a total of 3mb...so on june 11 that will be an average of 1 mb per month for the last 3 months with no wd yet.

Now i know that i have to sustain on a longer period an average of 1 mb or less per month to get to wet dream mode. If i can do it for the period of july to september and providing that i abstain fully for the remaining of june...i might get lucky.

Wish me luck....i'm sure going to try. Since i joined the forum in sept. 2008 it means it will have taken a year to achieve my first wd if i ever get there. Before joining i had an average of 10 mb per month....so getting it down to 1mb per month is quite an achievement anyways.

I will stay there if i can get to wdm and enjoy it better ...if not i will have to reevaluate if the effort and results are all worth it. I will keep you posted.

JUNE REPORT

I blew it in June with 4 MB and it could of been worse cause the urges were strong.

Still, I'm progessing. First quarter of 2009 limited to 9 mb and second quarter 5 mb. In other words 3 mb per month on average for the first and 2 mb per month for the second and no wd in sight yet.

Therefore, i am more and more convinced that one needs to reduce mb to 1 mb or less per month to achieve a wd.

I will try to achieve a 1 mb per month average for the third quarter, meaning no more than 3 mb for the period of july to september 30, 2009. If i succeed but still do not get a wd i will try to have no mb at all for the last quarter of 2009 and then i should get one for sure.

NEXT REPORT: October 1, 2009 unless i get a wd, in which case i would report immediately!!!

Well Done Maverick..... I gave up on my quest earlier this year because I started having regular sex again. I know this will stop one day so will start my wd quest again then. I drop in here every now and then just to see how you're going. I think you are an inspiration and have made huge steps towards your goal. I am so encouraged by your persistance. A good example for lots of stuff in life. I encourage you to keep at it not just for yourself, although the most important reason, but for the rest of us middle aged men.

Thanks ryan62. I must admit i wanted to quit several times and this september will mark one year for my quest for a wd. I will do my best to get one by then and by december at the latest. I must also confess i am not sure if i will be able to restrain enough to get there...but your encouragement will help to give it my best try. It would be nice for me and the other members of our age group to know that it is possible.

On a final note, i must reiterate that i now am convinced that starting wd mode requires more restraint than staying there. Since an average of 2 mb per month did not get me there, i must conclude that i need an average of one per month or less...a big hurdle since i averaged 10 mb per month before being a member here.

I will restart reporting monthly instead of quarterly for two reasons. The first being that its so long a period and i tend to lose focus and interest. The second reason is that i realize that i won't achieve the wd mode unless i limit mb to one or less per month. Therefore i will report every month to keep me on my toes so to speak. Since i already had 2 mb in august (failed month), i will report at the end of september, hopefully with success.

This journey is alot more difficult than i thougth, but when i succeed, it will be so rewarding.

Day 22 today...getting close to the magical 30 days stretch!!!

I ended august with 2 mb. Now, if i can have none for september...that would give me 18 mb for the year for an average of 2 mb per month. Even though i did not have a wd yet I believe that my reduced rate of mb will in effect increase my chances of having a WD especially if i can curb my mb rate another notch for the last quarter of the year.

Therefore, for october to december, i will aim for 1 mb maximum per month. I am optimistic that i can experience my first WD during this last stretch but my first hurdle will be to have none in september to load my gun so to speak.

I will stay strong and report monthly.

Well well...i slipped last night...so my hope to have a sept. free month is gone but i must now remain abstinent for the rest of the month to achieve my new goal of once a month only.

I am supprised because i felt strong and determined, but it just reminds us that our habit is so very hard to control. Also i think that talking about it here too often reminds us of the pleasure associated with it. The funny part is that i did not enjoyed it and felt very bad about slipping. Therefore, maybe it will be easier for the rest of the month.

I will still continue my quest to limit my mb at once a month until i succeed.

Just letting you know that i am still trying even though i messed up badly in september with 5 mb. For 2009 my best abstinence were 65-29-26-23 and 20 days with no results. The 65 days with no result was particularly a big dissappointment (but i have to admit that i edged frequently without ejaculating...maybe that was the problem).

Also, for 2009, my average was still around 3 mb per month or once every 10 days. It is widely mentionned that wd should occur once every 15 to 30 days, so at my age (53) i assume that i will need closer to 30 days abstinence average to swing to wd.

Of course, if i could abstain for 90 days i would probably get my first wd faster. But if i could hold on for 90 days i still wonder if i would get one or if my brain has deleted this outlet at my age. There is only one way to know and i will try the 90 days but will continue even if i fail because i am determined to get a wd for the experience.

Today is day 24 and doing ok but every time i write here it seems i'm thinking more of the mb outlet and fail shortly after...i need to disconnect this correlation.

I intend to continue abstaining in 2010 and my goal is to exceed my 2009 abstaining record whatever happens.

Thanks Ryan62 but i don't feel i'm a good example because i have been trying since september 2008 with no success. But i am progressing with ups and down and i intend to carry on my attempt to get to the wd mode. Day 25 today...getting close to the 30 day mark which is supposed to be the hardest part of the journey according to FM.

Some days are easy others our tough, last nite was difficult but i kept my hands off and focused on my challenge to reach 90 days.

Barely holding on at day 28...who said it gets easier with time...i have great difficulty abstaining right now but i must reach 30 days once again. I also want to continue my challenge of 90 days (oct nov and december free mb months). Every time i get close to my wd i get really horny. Could someone tell me if they are horniest before their wd or that is has nothing to do with it?

Finally i am at day 30 for the second time since i joined this forum in september 2008 but my record was 65 days the first time i crossed the 30 day line. Lets see if i can reach, or better, exceed the 65 day limit....boy that seems still so far away....another 35 days. I don't understand, it seems harder this time around. Even getting to 30 days was rough with many sleepless nights. Maybe my cumulative slow down of mb makes me hornier. You see in 2008 and previous years i probably averaged 120 mb (10 per month) and in 2009 i have only 23 mb up to now. But i need to cut that rate by half to 1 mb per month consistently to have a chance to cross-over to wd territory. Short term i am trying to abstain for 3 months to kick start things for 2010. But i find it so much more work than i thought it would be!

P.S.

If i fail my 3 months abstaining until dec 31, 2009 i need at least to limit it to one mb monthly for the rest of 2009. From there i can build and persue my goal to average only 1 mb monthly for all of 2010. Of course, if i get to the wd mode i will attempt to do even better and eliminate mb altogether but i am not there yet.

Day 31 now. Last nite was again a battle with very little sleep. How long can i take this inconvenience. But i really want to transition to the wd cycle. So i have to bear with it. I am applying the hands off policy but just the contact with the sheets drives me crazy and i'm afraid will lead to an ejaculation. That would be like mb because i am awake and i would waste 31 days of hard work. When that happens i lift the sheets to avoid contact until the urge subsides...thus the reason for my sleepless nites.

P.S.

I thought that my hormones would be balanced after 14 days but i don't feel this way. The urges seems stronger the longer i abstain. Could an experienced wet dreamer explain to me if it is the same with them???? Maybe that's the so called tbuzz where you find yourself in constant arousal mode. Since i am not used to feel this way because i would normally mb it away it bothers me when i should really enjoy this constant state of readiness for sex!!! Yep...i guess i'm on to something...i must take the horniness as pleasure instead of feeling denied an orgasm. I need to remind myself that yielding to mb would kill the tbuzz,and along with it, my chances of getting to wd territory.

So were the urges still really powerful after 30 days? Is that what lead you to give in? By the way that is a great accomplishment to get through 30 days. For me i notice the urges come in peaks and valleys. Some days the urge is very
high while others it is not. Hope you get a wet dream soon.

Yes the urges were unbearable, even more so than my last record of 65 days. I think that the massive reduction of my mb rate for 2009 is strarting to bear fruit. In other words, my sperm reserve is probably normal now and the tbuzz in full force. The problem is that as i get my reserve at a normal level, the harder it is to abstain fully until the wd mode kicks in. I even had another slip up 2 days after the 33 days run...this last one will probably set me back further.

I just read an interesting article about the daily sperm production of men which basically says that the volume we ejaculate depends mostly of the reserve we have in the epididymus and the vas deferens. This reserve is very small and can be fully depleted after only 9 ejaculations in 3 consecutive days. To restore that reserve, it would require 3 cycles of 52 days to get back to normal level. In other words, 9 ejaculations in 3 consecutive days (mentionned at the bottom of page 279 of the report) will be sufficient to depleat completely a man's sperm reserve and that would require a 5 month period (156 days) of no more than 2 ejaculations per week to restore your reserve of sperm to your normal level. That is more proof that a mb binge can delay by a long time our wd quest. In other words, if we slip, it has to be the least often possible to avoid running down our reserve.
