I actually just started back up at the gym.

Some weight has crept back up on me, but I once lost over 100 pounds over the course of 18 months.

You're getting into the toughest part of the year for junk food -- the Halloween-Thanksgiving (if you're American)-Christmas stretch, so just don't give up.

I try and go to the gym as regularly as possible. Since starting with work my schedule has changed up a bit. But I’ve found a couple things out since starting.

You don’t always need to go, i know this will sound dumb, but youtube workouts, you can find a lot of stuff you can do with minimal stuff at home on the floor.

When you do go do stuff that you don’t really have access to otherwise, I mostly do machines and such, I also do the elliptical but I’ve found that it’s also just as easy to go for a run around my neighborhood, this one sorta depends on where you live.

Definitely examine your diet, once you learn what’s in stuff you kinda think twice about exactly what you’re putting in your body. Like drinking soda for some reason makes it harder to burn off weight, i’m still not sure why but I cut it out and the difference is noticable, seltzer is a decent alternative. On the whole, cutting out sugar can be really useful, along with hydrogenated and saturated fats/oils, your body burns sugar before other stuff and well you prolly get the whole oil and fat thing.

Don’t over work out, aside from the possibility of straining something, it takes longer for the micro tears in your muscles to heal. Thus you don’t see results very quickly. And going to the gym sequentially may not help, unless you’re working very different areas so alternating days or something.

Hmm, I’m sure there’s more I can think of if I had the time, but I have to run to class. Some of this is really general but it’s everything I’ve picked up in the last 10 months or so of going. And I’ve lost like 70 lbs. so something must’ve worked lol. Of course still have those last nagging few and some muscle I want to build.
