Hi all.
I participate in a Church-based "post-gay" group where people who are bogged down in same-sex attractions can discuss & pray.
I'm deeply inspired by Michael Meade's Water of Life, where he challenges his male readers to be a presence to the initiatory lads of 12-14 who are getting their first wet dreams, and also James Branch Cabell's wizard, Miramon Lluagor, in Figures of Earth, who was a designer of dreams, including, um, "those" dreams of the "naughty kind."
We have a guy in our group who just turned 19. He's a little vague on his issues, but has mentioned a few months ago that he has had some trans thoughts. Recently he has been finding jobs, tackling life transition issues, and generally adopting a much more masculine attitude towards life. We older men (I'm 50) reflect back to him his developing masculinity. He is now working on his vocation issues. Maybe something green, related to the planet? I'm encouraging him to pursue his vocation with God passionately. There is where the masculinity, the life-fulfillment is.
Next week, I think I'll talk a little about what the story of "Wrestling with angel" means to me.
Jack Spicer, SF poet, wrote a lovely poem about wrestling with the angel, one you all should read.

A POEM TO THE READER OF THIS POEM

(Page 349)

To "wrestle with the Angel" is a stale old Bible Story, yes, but it gives a great example of how WD can have enormous spiritual meaning for young guys going through initiation. It's not just the purely hydraulic matter of squirt-squirt-after-two-months, which is what the conversation degenerates into here, sometimes.

I'm really hoping this thread takes off, and becomes a serious discussion of
#1) How do your wet dreams relate to your spiritual life?
#2) Has something somebody said suggested a WD? Have you ever suggested a WD symbol to someone else?
#3) Where do you go for interpretations of the mysterious and troubling symbols that appear in WD? Is there anybody in your life, or community, that you can talk to about them?

that's a while i see this post
but it seems that is not "taking off"
I'm not sure i fully understand it anyway
2)i don't think that fair doing i don't like the idea of someone trying to interfere with my dream so i would not do it to someone
3)interpretation of dream is a tough work, the "meaning of dream" should not be tell to you, but only some suggestion about were you might look at in your life to help you to figure out, would a be relevant method, at least for me
