Becoming adept at lucid dreaming is one way to improve one's chances of having a pleasurable, and memorable, wet dream. In a lucid dream, one is aware of the fact that they are dreaming and able to control one's actions.

I have found several articles online about the WILD method, which stands for Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming. Basically, you lie very still, clear your thoughts, and don't move your body. For some people, they enter a waking dream-like state. I have tried this and have not succeeded yet. The best time, I think, is nap time in the afternoon, or after you have already woken up from a long sleep.

Here is one site that has a lot of helpful tips on WILD. You'll notice some similarities to getting a WD, such as getting plenty of REM sleep.

WILDs are the holy grail of lucid dreaming. I'm here to tell you they were very difficult for me. I've never had one in fact, but they tell you the stages to getting one and I would get stuck at the same place every time. Pretty much I couldn't fully make it to hypnagogic colors and images. If you have ADHD like me though, I highly suggest working on your meditation skills before attempting this. Clearing your mind of clutter is absolutely essential. I have improved in that area and I would like to try the WILD again.

The other advice I can give is...try for an hour and if you can't get it within that time, just let it go. You can always try again later. I would sit there longer trying to force it and wasting a lot of time in the process. That won't work, plus you get agitated and lose your calm focus. Try and be detached about the outcome. My 2 cents

That said, I suggest attempting something easier like a MILD (Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream) or using the Wake back to bed method to get a lucid dream before the WILD.

i have been diagnosed with mild asbergers/ADHD. tried lucid dreaming a few times in the past but with no success. have you got any good resources that relate to those with our condition and lucidity

I also have Asperger Syndrome, I have done that before. I actually used this video I found on youtube and I remember some of the images so much better than I have other dreams. The music here put me out rather quickly and I'd say about 1hr in I started dreaming. Try this and see if it works.

I tried lucid dreaming (I guess), but the feeling was terrible. After dreaming, I have a false awakening and I can't move nor breathe. I forced myself to move suddenly but my body keeps returning to its original position. So, I just let myself choked, then I finally woke up in the morning.

That sometimes happens and its called sleeping paralysis- happens when youre somehow awake during your REM sleep, during which your muscles are in the state of antonia in order to prevent your body from swift and abrupt movements during sleeping. You can read sth about that on the Internet- I think there are some ways to avoid this state.

When it comes to lucid dreaming Ive done this a few times in the past- it was extremely hard to obtain for me and took a considerable amount of time. Ive tried several methods and the best for me was imaging that I was slowly walking up the stairs and counting. With every step I would take a breath, make a short pause and release. The other way was to imaging I was playing the piano with one of my hand without actually really moving my fingers. Those may work for you as well hopefully!
