So, in the past, I've given up masturbating and usually it took me something like a month before I ended up having wet dreams, but I never kept going after the first wet dream.

This time, I've continued to abstain from masturbating, and I've had about a wet dream per week. Is this normal? What is the frequency most of you experienced when you started out?

I usually have my dreams in the morning, and I actually am very aware in these dreams. I know pretty much what's going on, and have a fair amount of control, even if I don't know that I'm dreaming.

Once WD per week sounds pretty typical for a young guy, but there can be a wide variation. Some guys can even get two WDs in one night sometimes, while other guys (generally older guys with a longer history of MB) can have trouble getting any WDs at all even if they AB for much longer than a month. Consider yourself lucky that you can relatively easily get one WD per week.

If you have only been in 'WD mode' for a few weeks, your WD rate may still go up higher. We had a very successful young MBer turned WDer here (before the site lost a lot of data) who increased his WD rate from 2-3 times a week when he first started getting them to 4-5 times a week by deliberately imagining having sex before going to sleep. But he pointed out that you have to be far away enough from MB that you aren't tempted to MB when you do this. In fact he developed quite a negative attitude about MB and loved his WDs. This kind of makes sense, since logically a horny guy who doesn't see MB as an interesting or exciting option seems more likely to get WDs.

How long have you been ABing for?

I've been ABing off and on for the last few months, actually struggling a lot with it. I lasted a month and a bit the last time I ABed. I haven't been consistent, is the main thing.
