I already voted for bedroom, which is where I do it 95% of the time, but I also do it at my computer sometimes (which is not in my bedroom). Or if it's not convenient at my computer I'll go to the bathroom to finish.

Other than that the only other times in my life I've ever mbed anywhere outside of my home was when I was a teenager. Twice at middle school, a few times in my sleeping bag during sleepovers, and regularly in my sleeping bag while camping. If it's a private place I guess it's ok but I would personally feel weird doing it.

Most of my masturbation sessions happen at the computer... When I lived with my parents it was in my bedroom, when I lived by myself it was in the living room, and living with my wife it's in the den.

When I was in health class in Grade Six, we were all told that most men give up masturbation once they marry.

I am not married myself, but would think that nonsense.

Nevertheless, do you married men cut down on it once married? Are you open to your wives (if not gay) about it? Do they mind if you do?

Do you hide that you do it? Do you try not to be caught? If so, where would you do it?

Prior to living with my gf, later wife, (at age 24) I used to MB maybe 3 x week, sometimes more. while living together, the only time I MB'd (or got a HJ) was during her period, which lasted about 4-5 days, I would MB probably twice. We married early 1976 and divorced late 1979. Towards the end of the marriage, I was probably MB'ing about once or twice a week, as there was virtually no sex during the final year of the marriage. We still shared a bed, and although I did not go out of my way to hide my MB sessions, I was never a loud groaner nor did I thrash about as I came. I would usually be on my side with my back towards her, and at most there would be an involuntary small grunt and small thrust as I came. If she was a wake, she may have realized what had just happened. I always shot my load into a small face cloth or hanky which was then put into the laundry. This 1 - 2 times a week continued for most of my adult life, although there may have been times when the frequency may have increased. During the times when I was in a relationship, the frequency of my MB sessions were somewhat reduced. Even now, the frequency is about once every 3 or 4 days.

Yes, I definitely cut down on MB after I got married. We usually have sex often enough that the urge to MB is less since I'm being satisfied through regular sex. When my wife is on her period, or I'm away on travel, I take those opportunities to AB to try to get a WD, rather than MB (hasn't worked, but still trying). My wife knows I MB, and I joke around a little bit with her about it. I don't think she minds I MB, as long as I keep performing during sex - that's what she cares about.



Yes, I hide my MB and don't do it openly in front of her. I usually do it in the shower or bathroom. She's never caught me yet, but almost once

Before marriage I think I masturbated 6 times a week on average. Once married, that dropped to about twice a week. With kids, I'm down to maybe once every 10 days.

My wife has always known that masturbation has been part of my life and it fulfills a very different need than our sex together does. She doesn't mind as long as long as her needs are not neglected. That having been said, I usually do it when I have the house to myself, or if she's not feeling well I'll tuck her in and let her know I'm taking some "personal time".

I feel like most of the time sex is supposed to be about sharing, so I'm trying to be aware of my partner's needs and what we're doing together unless we're specifically focusing on one or the other's kinks. It's outward-facing.

Solo masturbation is all about me. It's inward-facing.

I thought it might be worthwhile to add a couple of comments to this.

Growing up I spent a lot of time trying to keep my emotions in check. The result seems be that I release my pent-up feelings when I release my pent-up semen. This can add a lot of baggage to sex and I don't want every time to be like that and although sharing is part of intimacy I don't want it to be like that every time -- I don't think that would be fair to either of us.

So it's a chance to let off steam as well as a chance to be by myself.
