Hello Everyone! I have a question but I don’t know if this is the good place to bring it up.

The thing is my roommate is driving me nuts. It seems he has WDs EVERYDAY and sometimes several times within one night. He makes a lot of noise when he gets up to clean his mess and wakes me up every single night!

He even has a routine to follow, starting from some curse and his 1000W lamp that is as bright as the sun! He keeps the lamp on for a long time when he spends time checking his genitals and cleaning the mess. The worst part is when he changes his underwear because his drawer is right beside my bed and makes huge noise! Sometimes in a worse case, he also changes his sheet or takes shower or has another WD an hour later, which makes it impossible for me to get back to sleep.

I don’t want to be an ass, but I really hope he can stop having WDs by whatever means that I don’t care. I don’t even know why he has so frequent ones. I mean we other guys have always been jealous of him as he is in the college team and has hundreds of girls surrounding him. I wouldn’t believe if he told me he’s not having sex with them.

Also, our dorm is very small, there is no way for one to have all these noises without waking up the other one. One night when he changes his underwear next to my bed I even scent the odor of his cum!

Although we share the same room but personally I am not very close to him and I don’t know how to find a proper way to talk to him about this. Also I don’t want to change my roommate or have a bad relationship with him. He is so popular among us. He is a couple of years older than me and people treat him like the alpha male in the group. TBH, I feel his reaction and how he goes about his cleanup is kinda rude. There are some thing you really should just wait till the morning. When my brother and I shared a room and he would have a wet dream he would be as quiet as he could be about it. Overall, having to share a room with someone for a long time helps keep you in the mindset that you need to keep a low profile of what is going on.

I would just tell him to keep it down and be mindful. It isn't the worst thing in the world to happen as it is natural and it is not like he is pissing his pants in his sleep or anything.
The shitty thing about college dorms is that all of yours and your roommates otherwise private things are suddenly public with someone you don't really know.

I am the elder brother between the two, but only by like 2 years. My brother was loud at first when he first started having them. Idiot totally thought he wet the bed. It stopped for him when he discovered how to masturbate.

Depending on how he responds should determine how you go about how you should ask him to quiet down. Don't even address the the wet dreams when you initially talk to him.

Simply say to him that you notice that he wakes up quite frequently in the middle of the night getting upset. From there ask him if he could keep it quiet when he wakes up.

Now... how he reacts to your request can take a number of pathways. If he is compliant then don't worry and the problem should solve itself and leave it at that.

If he chooses to be an ahole about it, then you can take a more direct approach and point out the full issue.

I had the same problem with my roommate in college. The other roommate and I figured out the best way is to play porn in the dorm and then leave him alone in the room :p

The university put students two years apart in the same room? And he's 23 and still living in dorms? He's getting his masters (?) and also on a sports team? And he gets wds at a rate that most 12 year olds could never imagine? Well ok.

If you want to be non-confrontational, pick a day that you know you won't see each other all day and send him a text in the morning after you leave. He'll get the message and then everyone will pretend that the conversation never took place.

I understand the trouble it brings to share a room with someone. He feels so comfortable around you so should you. Maybe he is even proud of it, it makes him feel like a true man. So I was wrong. He got up twice last night and made a lot of noise and kept the lights on when he was cleaning himself.

Teams are increasingly depending on specialized doctors and trainers, and also statistical analysis to maximize the teams performance. The more scientific or professional the team the less likely they'll be to push that kind of thing on players. You can tell he's not professional if he'd rather have his players missing games due to injuries rather than wear "unmanly" safety equipment, especially cups, which are pretty universal.
