Are you a grow-er or a show-er? It's rare for us to see our friends naked these days. It's even rarer to see them erect! I'm sure many of us have wondered whether most guys are growers or showers--which is more typical?--and how we compare to other guys. There are other polls here that deal with size, shape, etc., but I don't think I've ever seen a survey that asks this specific question, and I began to wonder about it. Ok, guys, whip out a ruler and your willy and contribute!

Directions:
1.) Get your ruler or a string or something you can measure.
2.) Hold your willy so it's pointing out straight in front of you when it's in its most typical soft size. All of ours change flaccid size throughout the day, depending on the temperature, etc. Just use what seems to be its average length.
3.) Measure it from base (pubes) to tip with your free hand, in inches. Use decimals to convert fractions. For example, 3 ½ inches = 3.5 [I'm sure using centimeters would be a similar process, since we are looking at percentages here.]
4.) Give old Willy a rub until he's nice and hard (but don't keep on going once you've woken him up, ha), or wait until you get your next morning wood
5.) Stand up and measure him the same way--straight out, along the top side, base to tip, in inches. BE HONEST. This is for science, not a size contest! We are all studs anyway!
6.) Use the calculator function on your phone or google "calculate percentage increase" to find a website to do it for you--to find out the % of increase in size from soft to hard.

This is how you calculate the percentage for this, using an example: Average Joe found he is exactly 3" long when he's soft, and 5.25" long when erect. So, first he will subtract the difference of his soft size from his large size, giving him 2.25". Then, he divides this difference (2.25) by his original soft size (3), giving him 75. Finally, he multiplies that amount by 100, and that gives him the final amount. So, Average Joe learned that his best buddy typically increases 75% in size from little guy to Big Willy!

Another guy, Peter, who is 3" long and grows to 6" erect, increases 100% (doubles) in size. Johnson goes from 2.5" soft to 7" hard (hey, I've heard it can happen!) so he increases 250%--a textbook "grower." His friend, Richard, who goes from 5" to 6.5" increases only 35% (a definite shower). Makes sense?

The key for this to be helpful to anyone is for you to BE HONEST. If your erect penis is 6" long, don't say it is 6.5"! Round the final percentage amount to the CLOSEST option below, don't automatically round up. If your growth is 60%, don't "round up" to 75%, make it 50%! This growth percentage has nothing to do with how big or small you are. No one will know that but you. It simply measures the percentage of growth you go from soft to hard. In other words, it shows if you are a show-er, who does not grow that much in size from soft to hard (like me), or a grow-er, who may double or even triple in size from soft to hard, like many other guys. ALL TYPES ARE NORMAL! And honestly it is not better to be one or another. A show-er might get more "dang, that's impressive" looks in the locker room, but growers leave more of an impression by bringing the unexpected--"Dang, where does he keep all of that?" she will wonder... This poll is just for fun (but take your measurements seriously to be accurate). Let's find out whether guys here tend to be showers or growers more often, or it it's about 50/50.

Now, a question for you guys to respond to in the comments below: what defines a shower and a grower? In other words, at what percentage of growth from A to B does a guy switch categories? Definitely! We still need more votes, but so far it looks like most guys here add from 50-100% (1 half to double) when they, um, fill out. I think that link said the average (and average is simply the middle of a range of what's typical) was 65%, so so far, our stats seem to align with that pretty well!

But it's also interesting to see that several guys here triple (200%) or even quadruple their size from soft to hard! Shows that you can't make any assumptions in the locker room, ha. The guy next to you who made you feel rather blessed might actually be packing a bigger bat when it's time to play ball, haha.

But this is all just for fun. At the end of the day, all that really matters is that you've got a bat to play with. It's not the size of the bat that matters, it's how you swing it!

^^ I'm like you, FWD, though I'm usually closer to 4.5" soft. I think you are right, we are sort of in the middle, but I'd say we are more on the "shower" side than the "grower" side. I'd say you would have to at least double in size to be comsidered a grower! And as we can see in this poll--some guys even triple in size! They are the real showers ha
