What's the longest anyone here has gone without a release of ANY kind? By that I mean no WD, SE either ejaculated or leaked, MB with orgasm or ejaculation, prostate massage, sex with a person or simulated sex with a device. Is is possible to go for months or years without any release other than slow overflow when peeing? If one waits long enough is a WD or SE inevitable? The longest I've gone is about 47 days, which ended with MB to orgasm. Is seems to me that if nothing happens in about 2 months, it probably never will because an equilibrium has been established. What do you think?

If you look at 'nofap' sites, which have a lot more members than this site does, you can see that some guys have waited considerably longer than two months to get a WD, and then some of them started getting WDs pretty frequently after that.

I think 'physical equilibrium' is reached pretty quickly, within a few days or weeks at most. Getting WDs seems to be more a matter of the brain's 'connections' between MB and ejaculation becoming diminished, and the brain moving on to 'discover' and learn the new (but built in) natural outlet of WDs.

If it was just simply a matter of being 'full' or 'overfull', you wouldn't expect to see so many guys report such things as being on nofap for a couple of months without any WDs, and then even getting two WDs in one night and/or several WDs in a week.

Many of the members of 'nofap' sites stress the waking effects of AB far more than just trying for WDs, so they don't spend a lot of time or energy going for them. Some members feel they are as bad as MB, some accept them, and some praise WDs as a major benefit of AB, even if it wasn't a big part of their original plan. It is not uncommon for guys to conclude that their newly experienced WDs are much better than MB, and many (I don't know what percentage) are quite happy in their new identity as 'nofappers' enjoying their WDs. It is logical that some guys who think of MB as negative and start having intense WDs continue to lose interest in MB as time goes on, which probably helps 'lock in' the new outlet of WDs.

Slider, back in the days I was exclusively having WDs, I went 47 days once. Since I learned to MB, I have not gone more than 11 days.

Great question, slider. I think with WD's there aren't any absolutes, as the cause of WDs appears to be more in the brain than physical need to expel excess sperm/semen, and we don't have a full understanding of how the brain works in that regard. There also appears to be great variability from person to person in how their brains are wired for WD's. So it's not inevitable that if someone waited any months, or even years, that they will eventually get a WD. Some will, some won't.

In terms of physical aspects, sperm and semen are at stored in the body separately. Research has shown that sperm storage capacity maxes out after about 5-7 days of abstinence, after which excess sperm spills out and gets washed away when we urinate, usually unnoticed. Some excess sperm also spills into the seminal vesicles which produce the majority of semen by volume (the rest from the prostate), and still others can be reabsorbed by the body. Semen storage capacity usually maxes out by 9-10 days, and once that happens, if there is no release, you will occasionally notice 'leakage' of semen either mixing with your urine, dripping out after urinating, coming out when straining while defacating, or just randomly appearing, perhaps through a SE.

The bottom line is, after about 10 days, the tanks are full across the board, and the body takes care of excess sperm and semen with or without WD's.

Having said that, AB for prolonged periods of time does seem to help with getting WD's, and we have plenty of evidence on this forum to prove that. Doesn't work for everyone, but most for sure. As Texanguy said, it takes time for the brain to reprogram itself to recognize WDs as the primary outlet for ejaculation and orgasm. Perhaps the full state of all of the storage areas of semen and sperm help the brain to reprogram for WDs. Similar to how we generally reach orgasm much faster and are more sensitive and more easily aroused after AB for a while.

The longest I have gone w/out a release of any type was around 45 days. Then I had a WD. Usually takes me abt that long to get one, unfortunately. I've gone a little over 6 months w/out MB, several years back. I would get WDs around that month and 1/2 frequency. Never got them more regularly, but who knows what would've happened if I continued to abstain. But some guys get a WD after only a week or two. Everyone's different w/that it seems.

Also, for me, the less I think abt sexual stuff and the less I stimulate myself even a bit, the more likely I am to get a WD. If I am looking at porn, edging, or fantasizing a lot, it seems to delay it. But some guys here have noticed the opposite effect.

It's though, but if u wait it out long enough, you should be able to get a WD (if that's what u are hoping for). Like right now, I'm prolly at arnd a week of abstaining, and I am feeling pretty horny. I have that kind if pleasant pressure and tingling in my man bits ha. Kind of nice. But at the same time, for whatever reason, but I'm not complaining!, I have very little desire to MB. You have have to somehow convince yourself that MB is not an option for u right now. As soon as u dance with the thought of it as a real possibility, it's usually only a matter of time before u give in. Just tell yourself no MB until y get a WD, ir whatever ur goal is. No edging, def no porn, etc. allow yourself to just naturally enjoy the feelings of being horny throughout the day w/out responding to it by touching your junk. And mentally look forward to having a wet dream. Like don't sit and fantasize abt it, but when u feel horny, don't think, man, I really want to MB right now. Think, man, I can't wait until I get a wet dream! I bet it's gonna be soon! I don't know if it helps speed one up, but it seems to me that one is kind of giving their self mental permission to blow one when they sleep. Let you subconscious know it is ok and it's something u want. If nothing else, it will help u hold out another day. Like focus said, no one is quite sure yet what causes one, but one thing is sure for most guys out there, it's kind of a numbers game. The longer u wait, the more likely u are to get one. It may take as long as 45 days (which a couple guys here mentioned), but it shouldn't take too much longer than that. Just avoid porn, self stimulation, exercise and eat healthy, get good sleep/rest, stay positive, embrace ypur masculine identity and all the good feelings your testosterone gives you and your man bits! Do you "edge" at all, or are you pretty hands off down there? I know that for me, the less I thouch myself, the more likely I am to get a WD. Though some others have had the opposite experience.

I went for 203 days a couple of years ago, and got nothing. I'm ABing again and will try to go a full year and see what happens. On day 56 now, so just over 300 days to go. Haha.

56 days and nothing. Have done to 6 - 8 weeks several times and no WD.
Very frustrating because if I remember there is a point after many weeks where i get some kind of pressure headaches that I never usually get and I start to crack up then and give in
